It was, and I suppose I should feel more grateful for getting such a wonderful season of television that was engaging and entertaining the whole way through. There's just so much more I want to see this show explore. I want to see Dorothy and the Scissormen. More Flex and the Brotherhood of Dada. See Danny the Brick transform into Danny the Ambulance and bring his daughter Casey into existence. I don't need this show to run forever, but it definitely has the source material for another strong season or two.

Some female detective OC (or at least an in-name-only version of a character from the comics) goes around solving mysteries with the help of her LGBTQ friends (none of whom include Wanda) while getting cryptic advice in her dreams from Morpheus, who gets a total of 4 1/2 minutes of screentime in Season 1. They briefly investigate a serial killer calling himself ''John Dee'' in the first episode who shot up a diner. There's also a goth girl who is ambiguously meant to be Death but never appears after being set up. ''The Endless'' is also the name of a night club.

North Carolina left WB holding and additional 40 million due to a tax credit error. Some high up was no doubt pissed and canceled it in anger.
