Say anything you like about Goku, but he is a far better character than supes in every aspect as he needs to train under various masters and get his ass kicked by characters that are equal to him ir super to him to improve, he even has to break his limits by perfecting his training and even then he is not the strongest in his own series
That is why dragon ball fighting games and stories work.
A legit dc fighting game will always have a conflict om how to make superman not op. He gets from being knocked out from a super nova to shaking solar systems, to crying over a back holed that is the size of a spec of dust, to throwing a solar system out of earth's atmosphere with effort to being able to hurt dr. Fucking manhatthan.
Thats why there will never, ever be a good game about superman that does not tone down his powers significally and actually bothers to show us WHY he deserves those powers by training or having to fight someone that he is equal to.

If it was a gameplay balancing issue, they would not be making changes to the plot to justify everyone else being able to fight Supes. (Or wanking him to Dr. Fate and Manhathan levels like in injustice 2 and clockdown.)

Saiyan zenkais require him to lose, which is the contrary to being a mary sue. Goku was beaten to an inch of his life for SS1 and even had to beg the bad guy to not kill his friend. Ultra instinct was teased was back i the resurrection F saga.
Supeerman being inconsistent means that being excited for an outcome of any fight he is in is absurd.
Manhatthan is literally millions of trillions of times superior to any feat of him passing out to a supernova.

Vegeta was naturally stronger than goku by being an elite, the inly way goku could keep up is by using a technique he LEARNED from someone else that was tearing his body apart and even then, he was demolished by Vegeta's great ape form and could not pull anything else and required help from others to even stay alive.
