The show itself is a very boring comedy action cartoon for literal toddlers, but the action, the comedy and the characters are much inferior to other shows.
But it only became a proper comedy action short show in season 2 when Bunnicula was given more solo time. And Bunnicula does not talk.
In season 1 Chester occupied most of the time and wasted half the episode on his dialogue. And he isn't exactly a real mature intellectual like Lisa Simpson for the viewer to give a fuck about him or his pseudo-intellectual dialogue.

This show is the epitome of wasted potential and 2010s children's programme writing has come to.
I originally thought they were still trying to go for the comfy intellectual character-driven dialogue-driven show because of Chester spending almost the entire episodes monologuing to himself while Bunnicula summons the monster of the week.
But then in season 2 they focused far more on Bunnicula and it just turned into another comedy show or comedy action show based more on slapstick and less on dialogue.
After the creator said she wanted it more adventure and lore heavy, guess the creative vision really is retarded and can't do shit right even she wants to and is allowed to.
The Lucky Locket episode was the only one which attempted some adventure. Similar to granny WW2 nazi episode in The Looney Tunes Show.
