I dunno man, she's getting her own YA book, which means someone sees potential in her

God I wish that was me

Because she is shit

Didn’t know this wtf. Is DC doing books now

I assume Barbara only became Batgirl again because some old fuck who grew up with Barb as Batgirl wanted things to be like they were when they were a kid. Which is how most comics end up the way they do.

So wait til the generation raised on Cass gets jobs at DC.

Because there's three Batgirls and they keep pushing for Barbara, someone has to get the shaft. At least Cass is the only one to date with a decent solo run under her belt.

Nigga some of them are already out
Cass's book is titled Shadow of the Batgirl

she's been back for a while
them putting her character on hold for a while wasn't the worst thing to happen. i mean towards the end of her run as batgirl a lot of stupid shit was done to the character

but it really stinks her era as Black Bat was so mishandled

as far as post new52 content goes took her awhile for her to come back but i remember she was in Convergence and later she came back as "The Orphan" and had a friendship with a reformed Clayface

>So wait til the generation raised on Cass gets jobs at DC.

NOT IF I HAVE ANYTHING TO SAY ABOUT IT!

Because you really can't have a bat sidekick that can outclass Batman.

Can Didio just quit already he’s been head for over a decade and just wont fuck off

Her suit is too pandering to fetishists.

She's a Batgirl that isn't Babs, Didio hates her and therefore all fans do as well.

This. X-23 has a similar problem, their fans sexualize them unnecessarily and it creeps out normies. Cass is my favorite cape character, but I don't say that in public because people would assume the worst.

DC editorial is trying to character assassinate her since 2006 at least, why really don’t understand diversity in comics.

DC taking out it's asian prejudice due to manga outselling them

Nigger, you could say it in public and nobody would know who the fuck you're talking about.

I feel like a gigantic faggot for saying this but Cass's tits shouldn't be that big.

Because she ages Bruce/Barbara. By that reason alone, she is Dan Didio's worst enemy. She, Wally, and the like represents a legacy hero. By being the next to take a title from a hero that ages the other characters.

what if i'm not a fetishit and i just think her costume looks cool as fuck?
the fact that her whole face is covered is specially cool because it makes her look less like human and more like some kind of bat demon

I'm pretty sure that pic only gets posted in every Cass thread because it is so antithetical to what people generally find attractive about Cass.

What's weird is it's not even her costume originally. It was Huntress's.

The other reason, at least another had is that they've seen so many characters in their time. So many characters to be THAT one character, and they just don't see that in Cassandra. They see it in Damian mainly because he's a he and the way he's tied to Batman. Add to the Didio method, in that we have Barbara. And in that regard I see their point save for the fact it puts Barbara in this cycle which her comic currently just can't seen to get out of.

Simone, Burnside, Rebirth, and even the current run have these faults (and really it's just the New 52 one at the end for sticking her in this cycle).

Which is basically, love interest, Batgirl life causes fault in love interest via love interest is evil/prevents her from having one. Then really what does Barbara beyond being Batgirl?

She has a roommate and-- that's it for basically the first two runs. Globe trotting was an interesting idea but again it can only get you so far. The current writer is trying to break the cycle, but it just seems the next writer will fall into the same trap.

Least with Cass each run felt different and a journey. There really doesn't feel like a journey with Barbara.

My problem with Babs as Batgirl is that no one seems to know whether she is supposed to be this mature, elder statesman of the Bat-sidekicks or a goofy millennial having lighthearted adventures. Granted, this was probably the worst under the Batgirl of Burnside stuff, and I haven't read any since the costume change, but it gave me such tonal whiplash seeing her show up in 'Tec in her doc martins and lecture the rest of the family.

isn't babs gonna go evil now because leviathan or some shit

This is the other thing that Babs is stuck in as well. No one knows what to do with her outside her comic as well. She's supposed to be the more seasoned pro, but Kate far more new to this role comes off more seasoned than her.

They've also taken away another factor save Simone in Future's End, Tynion, and HIll tried to use and Burnside just didn't bother with save to show Babs as just being there with Harper/Steph. Her being a mentor to the young heroes. To be their anchor while Bruce is all, "THE MISSION!"

My bet is if BoP and the graphic novel are successful, than sadly for Didio will have to stomach the fact that his plan in ruining the character to set Babs back up would be entirely fruitless
Who knows. It feels like a monkey's paw at this point.

DC brass hates anything that makes Batman look older. Even if it doesn't really, they hate the idea of things that might be conceptually adjacent to Bruce being over 29.
Batman is the precious. Everything revolves around the bat, precious.
