I liked her downfall in season 3, but the movie left a void on her character that would have been filled if they had just explained 2 things: why was she so hellbent in assimilanting Jenny (prioritizing her over taking over Earth, and causing her army to disobey her) and what was the whole thing about stealing her people's weapons (the place is portrayed as an utopia, there was no reason for a revolution). Vega goes on about how she might be working for somebody else, but then it all ends in "nope, shes' just evil", and it just makes her look incompetent even though we know she wasn't.
