I'll start

Most of its best gags are from its unstoppable video moments though.

Wasn't even that good.
Was alright until the ending.

A cartoon similar to Uncle Grandpa featuring Spurdo would be great.

I'd pay good money for a cartoon or comic about Gondola adventuring through time and space.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. There needs to be a MST3K style show but for animated movies.

These are great but...
I want an Apu cartoon where he’s an alien from the planet Kekistan stranded on earth and gets in wacky hijinks with two college age guys. Full of Yea Forums humor and shitposts, maybe even an episode where they’re on a trip through the countryside and stop at Sneed’s feed and seed (Formerly Chucks)

Shit I meant to include But I put twice

Don't know if anyone else know about Fantasy Fiction, but it's my favorite podcast of all time, and if it got a cartoon I'd probably die happy

After browsing WSG for so long and visiting gondola threads I'd love to see various shorts of gondola traveling to different times, dimensions, countries, cities, etc just exploring. Though as I think, should it be purely ambiance with people that gondola meets providing the only dialogue or should gondola have an inner monologue as he travels?

You just had to ruin it didn't you Yea Forums trash?

The frogposting doesn't help either.

Psychonauts.

A teen/college-age-focused show about how life in a post-industrial town sucks, but that doesn't give you the right to be an ass, with a vague never-ending mystery? I'd be down for that.

Like I said, never-ending mystery.

>4chin humor
>an episode where they’re on a trip through the countryside and stop at Sneed’s feed and seed (Formerly Chucks)
>alien from the planet Kekistan
> wacky hijinks with two college age guys

Literally sounds like a cartoon Seth Rogan and some other unfunny jews would make.
Eat shit and die you underaged autist shitposter

>we need yet ANOTHER piece of media dedicated to post-apocalyptic horseshit except this time Mad Max from Children of Men is addicted to heroin!
Why do zoomers like this "game"?
It played like shit.

What I wouldn’t give for some more media for this game.

She is a thirsty bitch.

I don't think a cartoon movie like this would have flown outside the 70s/80s though.

An animation wouldn't have the same effect because you'd just be an observer to the events unfolding. A lot of what strongly impacted people from the game is the player's agency, with any agency that's taken away being completely intentional and within reason. You're forced to decisions that make you feel awful because there are no easy way outs, the character already has a shit ton of things to work out that pulls control away from the player at times due to their own established issues, and that characters you like can either leave you or be put in a situation where they are very likely to just die just by sheer chance.

Not saying it wouldn't work, just saying that it might not have the same impact.

I always thought gondolas would be good as adult swim bumpers of some sort

Is it supposed to be because the candles are half burned already? Cuz they could just be old candles

Perhaps one of the fangames would be better suited for it.

Attached: literally me.png (281x284, 36K)

Seconded. Probably following that guy with "unfuckwithable" tattooed across his chest as the mc.

Holy SHIT I didn't know I wanted this so bad...
It would be tough to keep the writing as clever as it was in the game though.

sly cooper but in 2d with original art style
are they even continuing with the cgi one, I can't remember

No, it's because the candles are already liquid, indicating that they have been burning for a while.

I've only played the Pointless, which has its own take on the setting and its own distinctive art style that's different enough to set it apart from the original, but similar enough that it's very clearly a Lisa game. It also still manages to capture the hopelessness, dread, and depression of the setting while managing to keep that strange sense of humor that somehow does not manage to take away from the experience.

first game ONLY.
2 was weird and disappointing and DotO is shitty fanfiction tier.

A Ryu centered Street Fighter cartoon like Samurai Jack where it's different episodes of him wandering into different World Warriors without much continuity.
Shadoloo is a recurring antagonist but only really starts actively antagonizing Ryu about a third through the first season. A few flashbacks to training with Gouken and Ken, one whole episode devoted to his past ending with match against Sagat and the Satsui no Hado, Akuma appears as a spectre in his flashback, Final third of the first season is a tournament held by Shadoloo, secretly a trap for all peoples of interest on their radar. Ryu defeats M Bison in a fair fight, M Bison comes back with whatever Psycho energy bullshit to cheap shot Ryu only for Akuma to appear out of nowhere and kill Bison. He issues a challenge to Ryu, Akuma easily defeats him but leaves him alive and tells him to find him when he's ready.

Yo, I'd be down with this.
>Very action-oriented with lore hidden here and there, like the game
>The Beheaded dies and comes back constantly with almost every episode. It's occasionally treated as a running joke.
>The Beheaded uses a shitton of weapons and skills, each showcased beautifully and in gory fashion
>Occasionally he faces the bosses, obviously
>Despite the bleak surroundings, the Beheaded's got some fucking sarcasm within his inner monologues upon finding things. Dark humor spruces a lot of things up, eh?

Shantae. Or NiGHTS. Or Yoshi.

For a fun sports game, SSX has a surprising amount of lore and continuity that would make for an entertaining action/drama series.

Attached: SSX_Tricky.jpg (327x419, 38K)

Udon already did that, and it was shit because the writers will have everyone simply job to their main/waifu.

just watch FotNS then put on body horror porn

I can't possibly imagine that there *aren't* animated movies with easily acquired rights that the Rifftrax crew couldn't get ahold of. Aside from some shorts, though there's weirdly no precedent for it.

i never finished this because a) i got busy about halfway through, b) i got tired of trying to find every little optional thing and c) the characters are all unlikable shitters with bad dialogue and the dream sequences and music were the only redeeming points.
should i try it again?

Yes.

how do i stave off hating mae and the gang with every other line for long enough to finish it?

Because it's an oddly enjoyable game that explores the themes of pain and whether or not a person can improve despite all the suffering that brought onto themselves and onto others.

If you give a shit about gameplay, why are you looking at an RPG Maker game?

>shantae

we're not in the right decade for this

Attached: ms keane.png (355x323, 207K)

Or at least something with the same referential humor

Attached: images.png (225x225, 11K)

Skullgirls has already has a large and rich cast (beyond the playable character, even) and setting and neat story hooks. It could totally work as an action series with a mostly goofy tone that turns dark at times.

Frankly I think that's one of the worst choices, the whole thing kinda works on the fact that it's a game to get the full effect across.

By accepting that they are supposed to be terrible people

Attached: monkey island.png (1024x553, 63K)

Attached: HK hollow_knight_drawn_by_mamuru__1b270e538515d0e6ab9166a4ef3224a8.png (1061x1500, 1.71M)

>they are supposed to be terrible people
Are they? they don't do anything really bad, they're just kind of annoying, I guess. Mae mostly

that's also part of why i have trouble liking seth mcfarlane cartoons even though i know the whole point is terrible people being shitty to each other.
still though, i may try to endure for the prospect of more jazz-backed spirit animal hijinks in astral alley.

Fair enough, Mae is the one whose really that bad
Well I feel there's a slight difference in that NITW is about a bad person trying to not be so bad. Family Guy just revels in bad people being bad

ok we all agree LISA is great but why is the community so fucking awful

so many cancelled fangames that probably would've gone somewhere if the community didn't instantly shit on anything that wasn't pointless
even hopeful still gets flack because muh not edgy enough

Considering the insane popularity of the game, it should at least get some type of adaptation.

Attached: 777a2012ddb02106726daeb93893e44af2155164.gif (500x500, 45K)

don't even try to tell me about ruined fangames, t. hotline miami community. i still want to kill that jap cunt for turning what looked like a genuinely good game into fucking Midnight Anime with persona reskins and "why did you leave me?!??!?!?!?!?" bullshit

while i have it brought up, a Hotline Miami cartoon would be fucking dope. for the long levels they could do some kind of hazy blur kinda sequences and keep the techno.

and resurrect the cancer-ass community that has finally died down a little, i think the fuck not.

Really? I just assumed that Max was the resident shitclown. I assumed every cancelled game happened because of conflicting issues and disinterest.

Fingers crossed for Lisa: The Unbreakable

Attached: I want to know.png (364x455, 271K)

i remember that game vividly, i think it was called midnight animal or something and actually looked good before he made it shit

the thing about LISA fangames is that they all usually have a great deal of potential but the already small community seems incredibly intent on shitting on every single one for apparently no reason

max is a special case in the sense that he was universally hated by almost everyone in the community, mostly caused by his inability to receive criticism and sperging on public servers (although he calmed down a lot on his alt)

i had hope for clueless, ambitious, and lustful but now the only ones left i even care about are unbreakable and forgetful

yeah, it was Midnight Animal and it looked great. the levels were more dark than neon-pixel, and the main title image was a black "Midnight Animal" on a big american flag like you'd see taking up the wall of some government office. it looked so sweet. then once it turned to shit it became known as Midnight Anime because that's what the fucker turned it into: a shitty anime forced through the medium a topdown fuckemup style game.

Comfy cartoon that suddenly gets intense and rips out your heart

Live action LISA movie directed by Uwe Boll

I feel like it's way to meta around videogames to really translate to a non-videogame medium.

At the very least they'd have to do more than just a straight retelling in order to capture what made it stand out.

Did Brad do the right thing?

Attached: 4a777930019bc54b3e35d46ec80568fb.jpg (850x972, 70K)

>Forgetful
That's a new one.

Not really no. But he at least tried, which is more than many in Olathe

Fun fact: Olathe is a place in Kansas. I dunno if Lisa's Olathe is THE Olathe, but either way it's pronounced "o-LAY-thuh" not "o-LATH"

>climbing that fucking mountain

It's been around for awhile and gets consistent promising updates. From what i've heard of the story it seems like a good time

Attached: progession.png (234x179, 13K)

First actual good choice in the thread. Bonus points if all the dialogue is "Bapanada" bug sounds with subtitles.

Attached: 1551140374111.jpg (718x560, 84K)

This would only work if you knew the context of the game. As a standalone cartoon it'd basically just be quirky monster Adventure Time.

It'd be a long time coming.

Attached: logo-abe1.png (1000x600, 117K)

>should gondola have an inner monologue as he travels?
I think a narrator that describes the environment and Gondola's feelings in a poetic way would be more appropriate.

Attached: 1460538685158.jpg (940x2296, 487K)

this, gondola's aren't supposed to talk other than the occasional 'fug' or 'benis'. he's supposed to be the passive observer. an attenborough voice narrating his thoughts would play to that much better than trying to give a cutesy two-legged bear a voice.

Ideally there should be no dialogue except, like the other user said, 'fug' or 'benis' like some kind of gibberish.

I remember someone posted a children's bedtime story book staring Gondola and it was made ten times better when the artist removed all the words narrating the story. Felt very comfy.

i have that comic, but i've never seen the version without the text bubbles. it's super cozy as is, i can only imagine the cozy levels with no dialogue and music in the background.

Some sort of Mad Max cartoon

Attached: gabriel-cardozo-mad-max-poster-color3.jpg (1920x809, 630K)

It already does kind of feel like playing a colorful cartoon. I'd be all over seeing Psychonauts animated.

Attached: 6244576.png (500x543, 238K)

Brad did a lot of things. Some very wrong, some the best that he could have hoped to do as a victim of terrible circumstances.

Attached: Lisa the Painful_animated storyboard.gif (960x612, 825K)

As long as Sienna gets some love, I would ice-pick someone's brain for it.

Attached: Squigly 5.png (550x700, 307K)

>I dunno if Lisa's Olathe is THE Olathe

I lived in Kansas for 8 or so very unfortunate years, and last I checked there were no mountain ranges, deserts, or oceans, so it's probably a different Olathe.

Guh-Huh!

Actually, I've had a vision that this game could be adapted into a 12 episode stop motion animated story, where most of the aesthetic and tone would be similar to LOGAN.
Very somber, but still retaining the LISA charm

But where is the booty exactly coming from?

Squigly is literal skellington. There is no bone that curves like that.
