Injecting Politics into Comics (The Walking Dead)

Has this EVER worked out for a writer?

Only when the point they were making was a more nuanced philosophical one.

ground floor in an awful thread

BLONALD DRMPF

We live in a society

>”PERSON WITH OPINIONS DOESNT LIKE MY MEME KING!”

>Capitalist society is an economic caste system
>The orange nigger is incompetent

Facts don’t care about your feelings.

Actually the point was injecting ANY politics into your writing / public persona is sure to alienate half the population.
Same thing as when an actor goes full SJW or full Drumpf.

It didn't work for Ewing, yikes... That thing in Immortal Hulk #11 about whytes tanked the book and sank its sal--- Oh, oh wait no, nevermind.

Furthermore why are you still crying over Trump getting portrayed in negative light? I thought you kids weren't bootlickers. Imagine ACTUALLY defending a president.
>alienate half the population
And what's with this shitty take, anyway? Do you really think neocon zoomers and conservative dads read comics?

>conservative dads read comics?
Who else do you think buys all 100 variant covers of some shit comic because they think they'll be worth something some day?

Newsflash, snowflake, public figures are allowed to have opinions too. Don’t like it? Don’t read it. Fuck you and your meme king.

Okay, fair enough, you got me there.

Worked pretty well for Alan Moore.

Oh wow what a savvy take m'good man. Indubitably you're an upstanding unbiased citizen sir.

>The X-men are an allegory for the blacks and/or gays depending on the period
>This thread exists
Say it with me Yea Forums does not read comics.

>Meme king

>Has this EVER worked out for a writer?
Yes it HAS
You dont READ comics
Rather you come here to RABBLE-ROUSE

The entirety of X Men and Captain America.

>Actually the point was injecting ANY politics into your writing / public persona is sure to alienate half the population.
>Same thing as when an actor goes full SJW or full Drumpf.
But you're alienating significantly less than half the population when you're anti-Trump. Even in the actual election his supporters were a minority, and that's before we knew it was rigged.

Have you read Fables?

>getting outraged that others are getting outraged over comics
GOT EM

>Has this EVER worked out for a writer?
I don't know, ask Kirby and his Darkseid, a literal Nixon allegory.

Fair enough, I don't read comics. I read TWD. That's it. You can keep the other faggy spandex wearing 'Save the galaxy' shit for the kids. I only read grown up stuff.

She should have rigged it even harder if she wanted to win against a living, breathing meme.

>I only read grown up stuff.
>TWD

You're trying to imply something, but it only reveals how completely removed from reality you are. We literally have voting machines hacked by Russians in Trump's favor in Florida. And even then he couldn't win the popular vote.

I don’t really mind politics in comics so long as it doesn’t derail the entire story or become the main focus

I'm sorry, I don't read infowars enough to know about your gay conspiracy theories.

>NPC Russia script

Did you even read the Mueller report? We on that obstruction train now. Russian collusion is so 2017.

>I'm a superhero because im a black woman who surfs and owns a small business
Is not on the same level as the xmen.

Kek

I can tell this NPC religiously watches Rachel Maddow.

The report that confirmed that Russians actively supported Trump's campaign. That confirmed that at the very least, Trump's campaign attempted to gain Russian support but was unable to be decisively proven, due to the efforts by the White House and GOP to stonewall the investigation, with cases also cited. That report?

I wish my jawline was as sharp and masculine as hers.

>no infowars no infowars you're the infowars
OK, thanks for proving you're retarded.
The Mueller Report is where I learned about the hacked machines in Florida, in facts. You wouldn't have asked that question if you had any familiarity with reality. You are clearly only concerned with feeling like you won an internet argument with snide remarks.

it kinda worked in transmetropolitan. but they didn't go after individuals, only 3 political strategies

Then go ahead and quote to us, verbatim, what the report says on the matter.

Are you aware that every country with geopolitcal power attempts to influence elections in other nations?

And somehow that makes it okay?

No, but Russian attempts to influence US elections are nothing new, despite what the media tells you. I don't know if you remember the 1980s, but it was a pretty big deal then as well.

I'm well aware of the political games that took place during the Cold War, but what I'm saying is that it shouldn't be treated as a "fact of life" and more as something that should be avoided, specially considering Russia isn't just "influencing elections via memes" but actually putting money and boots on the ground in vulnerable, third world countries while curtailing any chance of peaceful resolution within these borders, just to keep the same foothold the US has in other bordering nations and keeping a steady conflict status.

Ok I have to admit this really made me think. I was wrong. Wait...
>I don't read comics.

Okay, Eastern European peasant. Does that mean they should go unpunished?

This is how geopolitics have worked since 1945. Unless you can upset the entire world order of the postwar period, nothing is going to change. Do you realize what upsetting the dynamics of world powers entails?

No user. Politics have never been part of comics

Attached: watchmen.jpg (327x499, 47K)

Stop being enslaved by jewish overlords?

where did you even get the idea that politics and comics have had anything in common?

Attached: portrait_uncanny.jpg (300x450, 62K)

Imagine! Comics and politics! It's like mixing flour and water. Totally stupid.

>Do you realize what upsetting the dynamics of world powers entails?
Are you actually implying it's a good thing we're subject to Russia, China and the US' control?

Just picture it, right? Sounds insane

Attached: cheesy but cute.jpg (710x686, 251K)

I can't believe you're nut and think comics have politics, are you stupid?

Attached: godlovesmankills2.jpg (600x401, 40K)

Yes. Better than having WW3

And they were and still are shitty politics.

imagine being under the delusion comics can have politics in them

Attached: super.jpg (640x581, 107K)

And you don't think we're heading that way already? It's only a matter of time, and it's not like they're doing a good job at keeping a balance.
>And they were and still are shitty politics.
>if they don't agree with me, they're shitty

Muties is particular arw an incredibly shitty allegory for racism, because muties are psychopathoc shits who do nothing but abuse their powers constantly and cause untold destruction with their petty mutie infighting.

>he says as trump fucks him in the ass with his weird Toad-looking dick

>y putting money and boots on the ground in vulnerable, third world countries while curtailing any chance of peaceful resolution within these borders
pretty fucking rich coming from a burguer

>Muties is particular arw an incredibly shitty allegory for racism
hey hey hey hey hey
they can also be a bad allegory for gays sometimes

>half the population

Sure thing, buddy

Attached: smug homer.jpg (400x300, 32K)

I'm not even American, I'm actually in one of these countries that are being coddled by the Russians in fact. And you decided to stop at that line when I was accusing the US of doing the exact same thing.

>if they don't agree with me, they're shitty
I actually totally agree with Superman telling me to "Slap a Jap", who all are yellow and have buck teeth.
Because as we all know, politics in comics always age well.

>DRERMPF IS INCOMPETENT
Despite
-rebuilding the economy
-increasing employment across the country
-uniting the Koreas
I could add "owning the libs" to the list but they tend to do that to themselves. It's funny how Trump is so incompetent and yet an evil mastermind at the same time. And somehow despite this, we've reached record levels of illegal migrants this year. It's almost like the US is still the most desirable place to live in the world.

We're not headed that way despite what the headlines and soundbites you consume tell you. Do you honestly believe that any nation wants a World War? (Aside from maybe Best Korea)

I can't tell how sarcastic or sincere this is and that just makes it funnier

Some of us actually live in reality instead of your weird cuddle bubble, user.

My country had TWO US backed coups in 60 years and BOTH have driven the country towards absolute chaos.

... Hold on, which country are you from?
I'm in Venezuela

What was unrealistic about my post? Did I say anything that was inaccurate?

based

This whole post is egregiously wrong, but this
>-uniting the Koreas
Takes the cake.

You mean the reality where Trump isn't getting impeached despite a two year investigation into ostensible Russian collusion which proved to be a cover for claiming obstruction of justice of an investigation of Russian collusion that never actually happened?

Literally every single word you said, user.

Yeah, which shows extreme corruption on part of the republican side controlling everything through transparent lies. America is really fucked.
