This would work, but again it would have been better if they introduced alien species in like season 3 (somewhere around Room For Ruby while Steven was in space?) instead of just throwing them in after the main plot is finished. I get the writers are too busy masturbating and shit to think of this stuff in advance, but yea that would have been the best opportunity to introduce some more antagonists or any characters in general besides humans and different kinds of gems.

ideally, you'd get a civil war led by the corrupted gems, when jasper, centipeetle etc decide that the diamonds(including pink) were what fucked everyone over, therefore it would be better to get rid of them all bismuth style and install their own presidents. and many of the aristocrat gems would join in because they wanted to retain their privileges instead of this 'being equal' stuff.
that would require using the premise that people don't change their minds overnight, though.
