Why couldn't IDW turtles be this fun all the time? I gave up on the regular series quite some time ago.
The comic is just so boring now, and the stories slog like shit on a boot.

Because it's more serious. The only fun thing are the B&R minis.

The Turtles Forever plot with a DC multiverse mixed in... I'm OK with this.

It's kinda baffling how Batman and TMNT blend so well and both have ran the gamut between gritty and goofily kid-friendly, but the common point between them, Daredevil and the Frank Miller connection, seems to lack those qualities almost entirely...

Closest so far is TMNT in Injustice 2 - Netherrealm or some other WB-related studio could conceivably get the rights...

I still can't get over what an amazing design "Laughing Man" has. It's really fucking perfect.
