Man, this is kind of jarring after going through PAD's run recently and coming off of Keown's issues. It was a lot more... exaggerated, but also a lot more expressive.

Given that Keown was actually drawing the Hulk series around this era, and surely remembers how brutish Joe Fixit in particular is supposed to look, I'm pretty surprised that he'd go this way, just drawing him as a reasonably attractive and human dude.

Great issue, PAD was always my favorite Hulk writer. He touched on a number of beats from his run . I liked the use of suicide as a topic and how well David wrote about it.
Loved the use of That character, and would like to see PAD work on a solo for him.

Looks like it, but ewing does have a pretty passionate fanbase. Honestly while i get them liking immortal hulk more than this one-shot they need to understand that ewing has mutiple issues to tell his stories while pad only had this one no shit it not gonna be as good. Still liked it though.

What is so hard to understand? I enjoyed PAD's Grey Hulk and Prof Hulk stories because it was well crafted and because different from what was done in other comics and what was done before in Hulk.
But this one shot doesn't bring anything new or good. It's just the same old "Banner wants to kill himself" story. Even the last page reveal is boring and predictable. It has been done to death. And Keown's art is now incredibly bland.
A mediocre comics with "David" and "Keown" on the cover, so people who keep crying about some fabled good old times can suck their thumb and keep pretending that good comics don't exist anymore.
