This movie seems like it's going to have a pretty big focus on "the world needing a new Iron Man". With Peter conflicted on whether he can fill that role.
He's basically Iron Man lite on the trailers. Even gets a pair of big brother glasses.
Do you think he'll take the role by the end? Or do you think he'll be his own Spider-man at the end and say goodbye to all the fancy Iron Man gadgets?
Either way it'll be shit like the last eight Spider-Man movies
Joshua Baker
>Do you think he'll take the role by the end? I hope not, it was a shitty role. MCU needs more than one main super genius, for more competition and banter, and less wanking.
Wyatt Young
He will reveal his identity at the end, just like Uncle Tony.
Ian White
I'm hoping not too. MCU Spider-man can be redeemed in my eyes if he takes his own path and respectfully says goodbye to the 'Iron-boy' image.
Leo Hughes
Might as well, he already told mysterio his full name.
Joshua Watson
Everyone already fucking knows
Austin Rivera
Then we get One More Day?
Carter Russell
No he's not going to take the "Iron Man" role. He's going to stay Spider-man.
This is just a Miles Morales story arc. One his earliest now that I think about it. I'd bet $10,000 you're going to hear the phrase 'Don't do what Tony Stark would do, do what Peter Parker would do.' at some point in the movie.
this fucker introduces to himself to everyone with his full name and removes his mask constantly
Connor Hill
>Peter gets bored of all the tech in the suit >asks for a plain suit, maybe some tech for the webs, no AI buddy >on the boat, Ironman shows up, teaches him how things can go south and to not go over his head >no nagging, no punishment
Taking the Iron Man role doesn't necessarily mean he won't stay Spider-Man.
When I picture him taking the Iron Man role, I picture him basically becoming more like Tony Stark, and relying on his technology even more so. Whereas I'm hoping he walks a more independent and classical Spider-man path.
Jaxson Perry
All that sounds pretty good actually. On the list of things that need to go, the AI companion is at the top.
I like MCU Spidey. Also Karen. I just want him to show his genius shit, maybe with a private lab from pepper where he can shine without a limited budget. I know it's not exactly Parker shit, but with what the MCU is going with, this is the best path I can think of.
Evan Murphy
Bump. This movie comes out in a month and I feel like there should be more discussion. I liked the Osbourn thread yesterday so I'd like to hear some more speculation on that, if it's even true
Henry Phillips
Well, if Oscorp's buying Avengers Tower, it pretty much says that we're getting some kind of Dark Reign adaption. Norman's a scheming opportunist, so of course he'd be the first to attempt to exploit the power vacuum left by Stark's death.
Liam Foster
I've been meaning to read this for years, I'm just a procrastinating asshole, but I got the gist of it and I want to see it come to life. I really like Norman as a character, whether he's gobby or just a psycho asshole
Gavin Long
Aw. That'd be sweet. Like if Morgan grows up she could build an AI using her dad as the base.
Gabriel Thompson
>kill off Iron Man >with no Doom to take his place
Liam King
Warren Ellis' Thunderbolts is pretty essential reading. Contains one of the all-time great depictions of Norman and the mental illness bubbling under his surface.
>Mom get the camera, I did it! I posted first! Now they have to talk to me!
Leo Flores
No. He'll say "I am Spider-man" in regards to people wanting an Iron Man.
Luke Rodriguez
>Everyone speculating that Norman's gonna show up and become Iron Patriot or such to fill the Iron Man role/setup Dark Avengers >It's actually Doom
Aaron Wood
>He reveals >Everyone he knows dies >Bitches to Dr Strange to fix everything Dr Strange always wins, baby.
Ethan White
Bump
Zachary Martinez
Any predictions not based on supposed leaks?
Michael Sanders
Them adapting OMD to the MCU would be fuckin hilarious
Brandon Powell
I hope this story comes down to as Peter not needing new gadgets and relying on his powers more. Thus making it so Peter finally says he is spider-man, not iron man.
Luis Ross
As long as it gets rid of not mj. I'm not trying to be spiteful but that casting was a spit in the face for fans. Actually most casting was offensive. I don't know why sticking to comic designs is so hard but sometimes I think this shit gets out of hand
Henry Ross
Fuck this dumb children's movie
Elijah Lee
Leave it to assholes to ruin the thread
Nolan Smith
He says, on a boards devoted to cartoons and comics.
Isaac Nelson
>Take the franchise's most popular hero >Turn him into a poor man's Steelmate >Literally deleted Spider sense- his most iconic feature >Give him a discount Friday instead
MCU Spider-Man's spider-sense is roughly as active and reliable as every other movie version's Spider-Sense. Or even comic book Spider-Man's depending on the writer. Precognitive you-can't-touch-me powers get dull and kill dramatic tension. It's like if Flash really operated in Attoseconds and everything villains did was futile.
its there thing is peter was blocking it because somethings were too intense.
Josiah Young
That's not what I asked at all.
Dylan Cox
The best Marvel Studios can arrange at this point is a sort of "shared custody" of Spider-Man with Sony, a company they cannot buy. So they are NOT going to make him the linchpin of the MCU. The idea is ridiculous.
>Yfw Ned turns out to be Ned Osborn. >He becomes the Fat Goblin and tries to kill Pete for not getting the pussy Ned solely deserves >Fat Goblin and Mysterio team up and finally kill Spiderman >"MJ" becomes the next black/woman Spiderman >Disney pats themselves in the back >After credits scene reveal Pepper has made Peter into a Cyborg Ironman. The End.
Alexander Reed
Yea Forums users are more Spiderman than the actual Spiderman. At least they don't reveal their identity.
Easton Torres
is this following the arc where iron man makes spiderman an iron websuit?
Logan Green
Hi my name is jeff bradley, i live in boston
Cooper Gonzalez
Yeah, but people care about Spider-man.
Christopher Gonzalez
Then why do they care about Disney's anti-spider? Disney made a point of destroying every element of Spider-man's story that made it unique and interesting and are parading a red-blue colored effigy around on stake.
Henry Sanchez
>Then why do they care about Disney's anti-spider? >Disney good >MCU good >spiderman good >Spiderman in MCU good That's pretty much the mindset, I think.
Spiderverse was the first movie since the raimi movies to get Spider-Man right.
Isaiah Phillips
Gee user, the way you talk almost makes it sound like Peter's entire deal was being a self-made young hero or something.
Joshua Myers
Coming to kill your aunt now
Nolan Gomez
>rdj will continue to receive inordinate sums of money for appearing in marvel films despite his character being dead
What are you talking about? Peter always had everything handed to him, and he's always been careless with his identity without ANY consequences.
Isaiah Brooks
>After credits scene reveal Pepper has made Peter into a Cyborg Ironman. Wait, hold on, are you implying that wouldn't kind of rule?
Cooper Sanchez
Wrong MJ, retard
Jose Brown
If they rumors are true about introducing Osborn into the MCU, they should have been building up a Peter and Gwen romance.
Dominic Bell
Nah, Spidey won't take up Iron Man's mantle.
But I do hope thats a theme they keep in the next few movies. Its basically the perfect set-up for Reed Richards.
Play up the need for a Tony Stark futurist science man. Then introduce the Fantastic Four, with Reed Richards taking the place of the biggest brain in the world.
Julian White
I'm only partially awake, what do you mean wrong mj?
Owen Gonzalez
Based on the 2 trailers I saw. -mysterio isn’t from a different universe but just pretending he is. -if somehow mysterio is from another universe he’s a bad guy there and not a hero. (If he is from another universe I’d hope they’d bring in Hyperion that way) -Peter doubts himself around Happy so Happy either mentions Morgan, shows him a picture of Morgan , or has him talk to Morgan and says something like believe in yourself because she believes in you. -Peter defeats mysterio publicly and people will either think he’s a great hero or a menace because of it. -Norman Osborn in some sort of scene probably a post credits one.
Wishlist but probably won’t happen -gets rid of a.i - bugle reference
Jace Scott
I like the ai as long as it doesn't actually "help" him but is just there so he talk to himself
Noah Evans
I bet my left nut that Nick Fury is not the real Nick Fury but either Chameleon or Mysterio himself like the only reason Peter trusts Mysterio is because "Fury" vouches for him, but Fury dragging Peter into this mess in the first place seems out of character
Wyatt Clark
I have a bad feeling they're not gonna have Mysterio be that tricky but I really hope they do him some Justice.
Luis Ramirez
>Tony's dead I have to be the new Tony >Oh no things are going bad what do I do >No I can't be Tony I must be myself to save the day
There I just spoiled it for you.
Jeremiah Morris
>facebook pic You need to go back
Kevin Reed
What is this from
Nathaniel Cox
No, but he will make his own suit.
Ryan Sanchez
Bump
Jonathan Turner
Pretry much the last thing the world needs is another Iron Man
>Peter defeats mysterio publicly and people will either think he’s a great hero or a menace because of it. You know he'll be a menace because JJJ said so. Don't bother him about it.
Samuel Johnson
Spidey will take it up.
Ryder Cook
I wish MCU spiderman had more to do than jerk off ironman
Jackson Allen
>This movie seems like it's going to have a pretty big focus on "the world needing a new Iron Man". So they're basically stealing Superman's theme. Again.
William Scott
Switch the A.I to a symbiote and I'd be cool with it
Jayden Harris
It isn't the onyl one, you felt it did because you liked to see an experienced Peter instead of another origin story focused around him.
Jack Myers
better make a pact with Satan cuz we're killing your aunt now bitch
Probably reject the whole Iron-man thing in the end and say goodbye to the gadgets. ...And then basically be Iron-man and have them all back in the next Avengers movie.
James Scott
I just want to know when we'll get Superior Spider-Man in a movie.
Nolan Roberts
that sounds boring and doesn't give Peter any development why does Yea Forums think they can write Spider-Man again?
Jace Cruz
> gets bored
No. That makes no sense. Peter wouldn’t put himself at a disadvantage for fun if lives were on the line. It’d be better for the suite to fail him. Perhaps it gets hacked and he almost does. That way, he can ditch the Stark suit while also realizing Stark was fallible just like him. It would also teach him a lesson of standing on his own
Hudson Hernandez
>deleted spider-sense You're fucking autistic
Jaxon Murphy
>Literally deleted Spider sense
When will this meme die? They showed his spider sense in Civil War, Homecoming and Infinity War. Do they literally have to spell it out for you to accept that its in the movies?
