what are some good western cartoons with an overarching storyline and not just 20 minutes of mindless gags?

Anything that doesn't originate from America or Canada still has decent storylines. Mutts like blind consumerism, so of course they have moral faggotry up the ass.
fuck anime
Days of our Lives have better plots and drama then anime lmao
satan
Is that tranny phantom?
yes
America, Canada and Japan aren't the only countries making cartoons, imbeciles.
Randy Stairs was insane. This is one of his few remaining channels. Remember kids that your waifu is not real. youtu.be

Its so weird to me how this guy was a complete cartoon autist while being reasonably attractive
>reasonably attractive
and that's why when they finally cure school shooting as an outcome of mental illness, they'll still be doing it because the shooters will think it gets them laid.
The way these threads always go you have to specify some countries or everyone is going to assume you're a shitposter who's referring to Japan
This reminds me of Jim Shooter for some reason. I wonder what drugs the hospital have him that allowed him to become EIC of Marvel Comics
>reasonably attractive
What? No. You deserve to have higher standards than that, respect yourself.
Xiaolin Showdown has three main story arcs built over three seasons, with a satisfying conclusion. Ignore Chronicles.
Moral Orel has an over arching storyline thats fantastic. You just dont realize it until the last season where they start tying it all together.
Despite the SJWness of it, Steven Universe does have an over arcing plot thats great for the first half, but is incredibly rushed in the second half.
Samurai Jack
Mystery Inc
Justice League and JLU
Young Justice
lol wewfam you're a generous one.
Why would his looks have any effect on his behaviour?
SU is more rushed in S5 where they were clearly caught on the hop and didn't realize they'd be renewed. It's uncharacteristically fast for such a slow burning show (not that I was complaining at the time). S1-S4 takes its sweet ass time.
I've been really meaning to rewatch this recently. For a show built around finding maguffins it has a surprising amount of depth to it.
Why you knocking on kino of our lives, shithead. Say that shit IRL and not online and see what happens
lmao

Over the Garden Wall
I can still remember when this board got flooded due to his hysterical autism
Most modern cape cartoons (Green Lantern, YJ, Beware the Batman, Avengers: EMH, Spectacular Spider-Man, etc.) meet those requirements. Even the ones that aren't the Big Two like Big Hero 6 or Stretch Armstrong have some strong overarching storylines.
I've heard great things about the Tangled series, but I haven't seen it yet.
They’re the only ones that matter though
Honestly, they are becoming more and more rare. People jumped on Star vs because they wanted a cohesive story, but it reverted to mindless gags, before doing a quick revert to story to wrap things up. Almost the same with Steven Universe.
>Group of kids explore shit
>Adult comedy with Family Guy-tier jokes
>SUPER AWESOME SUPERHEROES DO STUFF AND TWERK!
I can have your logic as well. At least Anime and other non-muttmerican cartoons take the better cliches.
>They’re the only ones that matter though
If you're a consumerist who doesn't care about quality. Lots of foreign cartoons are severally underrated. I rather let my kids watch Soviet-era cartoons than the crap America is airing right now.

Americans have lost all of their creative juices meanwhile Europe and Japan are shoving out classics that will be remembered for generations in their respective countries. Because Americans are too retarded to handle good taste.
Tangled The Series/Rapunzel's Tangled Adventure kind of splits the difference. Many episodes are somewhat random, but overall there's an overarching plot that moves forward even the episodes that aren't directly about it, and there are several episodes each season that delve into the main plot of the show.

It was intentionally meant to last a few episodes as a miniseries
This sounds like you have unrelated beef against the US instead of the actual animation
The only major French show i can think of is Miraculous ladybug. And that has less plot than fucking Spongebob.
Hilda and Trollhunters
I sure do love waiting every three years for a new season!
>This sounds like you have unrelated beef against the US instead of the actual animation
All you Americans can even make is either gross out humor or basic toy line shit. You literally have no soul in any of your creations. The fact a Mexican can make something as good as Villianous while you constantly shit on their country says a lot. Maybe you becoming a brown shithole will actually fix your animation department. Because it's clear that even border hoppers care more about quality than your shitty television networks.
American animation died sometime around the Mid 2000s. After that, it became soulless and basic. Every show looks the same and has the same plotlines. It's either some kids exploring "WACKY AND STRANGE PLACES" or Ren and Stimpy/Family Guy inspired shows where they try to become as gross as fucking possible. That's all you burger munchers can make. You've officially run out of ideas.
Exactly what Cartoons does Europe have? Asia seems to focus on Anime rather than cartoons and what cartoons they do have come out of China and are just rip offs of American Cartoons.
>I sure do love waiting every three years for a new season!
"i-it doesn't count because of the wait between batches of episodes!"
