yeah I had it on in the background. Nothing really caught my eye while it was on.
this is the last season, right?

Unless new comes out at the last minute that it's being renewed, yes

>last season
hes been in a coma for the last 3
i literally want them to just pull the plug.....

why coma shit for 3 seasons

w h y

I figured the whole 'waking up from stasis' was them dropping the whole coma angle entirely?

The beginning of Danger Island was them dropping the coma angle as in "we don't give a shit and you shouldn't either" as if that was gonna make anybody that cares happy

Seems like they have a Character are "X" now, tune in to find out how!

And I'm just not invested. I don't care Pam's a monster now or Krieger a robot. If anything I'd like to see more Cheryl but I know it won't have a good pay off.

The writer has long since stopped giving a shit and is just doing what he wants until his contractual obligations are met.

I dug it I thought it was great. My only concerns now are just like is this really the last season are they not going to fix everything.

Every line related to Krieger was hilarious though. Great references.

feels like they are running out the clock at the point.
which is a shame because this was one of my favorite shows before they shot the continuity to hell.

Tbh I’d like it if at the end of the last episode they have Archer wake up and give a very brief and jumbled retelling of the past few seasons only for him to realize he’s old as shit and the Lana he thought he was talking to is his daughter. Ends with “I’m still dreaming aren’t I?” Kinda line. Buuuuut that’s assuming anyone cares anymore which they don’t.

It's just knowing that everything is gonna end in a reset

When Lana died at the end of Dreamland I was like, "wow that's really gonna change the joke structure up, oh guess not", and when Archer himself died at the end of Danger Island I could not even begin to give a shit enough to laugh because I knew that was just a cue for a setting change

>I dug it I thought it was great.
Why? There was basically no wordplay, at all. No lines carrying between scenes, far too much silence where everybody stares at each other and the insults felt real rote.

Laughed at "space phrasing" though, I'll admit, and most stuff related to Krieger was alright.

I ended up never even watching the last season. I didn't know this was being made and I don't feel like checking it out now that I know. Does that answer your question?
>I don't care Pam's a monster now
Wait, the green one or the purple one? And who's supposed to be the other one?

>here was basically no wordplay, at all. No lines carrying between scenes, far too much silence where everybody stares at each other and the insults felt real rote.
Funny I don't recall that.
>Laughed at "space phrasing" though, I'll admit
That was the one thing I didn't laugh at. I guess we have different senses of humor.

Pam is the big purple monster

Green is an alien and some type or royalty or something.

Ask yourself: Have you actually laughed at Archer since season 2?

Thanks for confirming the people bitching about the coma seasons are humorless faggots.

Ask yourself, was Archer the first Adam Reed show you watched?

yes

Is that the Space Ranger font?

Since it's set in space, they should bring back Killface as the antagonist.

I wish Archer characters would stop talking like that. You know what mean? 10 seasons in and every character speaks with the same voice.

Archer Vice was after season 2, so you've already shot yourself in the foot

You think this team wants anyone to remember they were funny?

It's one of my favourite things about older Archer episodes, hardly ever silent and always continuing gags, mixing wordplay from the separate A plot and B plot, etc.

I'm bitching about this episode, I liked Dreamland and the latter half of Danger Island.

I assume this is another continuity heavy 8 episode season where a lot of episodes are 16 minutes long, so I’m just gonna wait til it wraps to watch in one go. Danger island was decent when I watched it that way

I stopped after 3 eps of Danger island.
Was dream Land when they went Noir mystery?

Yeah, the noir one was Dreamland.

I liked that one. Weird lhow Pam looked the same but was a man.

Well the episode was hilarious. Pam's intro, Malory turning into Malory, Krieger being a fish, the weird alien design, Cheryl reluctantly killing everything that moves while the crew debates Lanas fellatio skills, all top shelf stuff.

I'm pretty fond of what they're doing with Pam in the coma seasons, although I'm wondering if they'll do anything interesting with this new one besides big & strong.
You might wanna recheck out Danger Island, it genuinely picks up in the back half. Cyril's a good fucking villain.

Cyril yelling suppressing fire and shooting at nothing just made me sigh. The show became self referential in some of the least funny ways over time.

It's not just the coma season, it's the fact that Reed decided to also write it as a "binge" show intentionally. No more standalone stories and shorter runtimes means it's basically a 2 hour Archer movie, which would be fine, but since it's still episodes he gets away with repeating the same jokes to death and filling time with expositional recap dialogue.

Season 3, Episode 8
The last one

>You might wanna recheck out Danger Island, it genuinely picks up in the back half. Cyril's a good fucking villain.
Hmm. Against my better judgement I will. Only because I'm tired of Cyryil getting shit on
