Lupin the Third part 5 will replace Jojo DiU on June 15th at 1am.
Gundam: The Origin replaces TPN on July 6th. Holy fuck if you think TPN is boring you ain’t seen nothing yet. Go fuck yourself, Demarco.
Apparently there are two other show announcements coming in the following weeks. Probably just more garbage but hype yourself up if you want to.
Last week we started the new schedule, and it wasn’t quite the disaster that everyone expected. That said, it didn’t do great either. This week, people that didn’t get the memo on MHA moving up last week did this time as it did better, though everything else crashed to disaster territory. Naruto fell to sub 200k red alert territory, though Bort finally didn’t lose to it. We need that Family Guy episode back to 10:30 ASAP.
10:30 My Hero Academia (r) 465 0.19 249
11:00 Dragon Ball Super 529 0.24 315
11:30 Attack on Titan 376 0.17 223
12:00a The Promised Neverland 310 0.14 183
12:30a Sword Art Online: Alicization () 322 0.15 194
1:00a Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure: Diamond is Unbreakable 271 0.14 186
1:30a Black Clover (r) 238 0.13 167
2:00a Boruto: Naruto Next Generations 206 0.11 136
They need to do some more fucking contests or bring back older shows
Jaxon Cruz
>older shows Because the ratings aren’t bad enough already, right?
Dominic Evans
DeMarco please, just play the new remastered version of G Gundam and the original uncut funimation dub of DBZ already.
Ryan Reyes
>implying I’m Demarco Demarco would have zero issue doing that if he didn’t have his job security to consider. Even he knows that old trash kills the block
Charles Perez
I like TPN and not just because I fap to Mom
Nicholas Young
nobody would watch that, also they have kai airing at 8 or 8:30, so more DBZ would be retarded
Elijah Bennett
Dragon Ball is almost under 500k what the hell is happening
Joshua Perry
If you recall last fall, the numbers for DBS were in the 400ks until they reinstated the 11:00 start time
Above all, while it will always stand above the other shows on the block, it needs to be grouped with the casual comedy shows since they share the same type of audience. Sticking MHA in the middle of the flow just screws with everything.
The net effect may end up similar considering that any casual gains just leave with the next show anyway
Caleb Reed
>needs to be grouped with the casual comedy shows since they share the same type of audience. This was proven false when Super bombed on the Weekday lineups. Even KOTH and TCS were better lead-ins. Why do people make so much execuses?
Levi Jackson
>12:00a The Promised Neverland 310 0.14 183 >12:30a Sword Art Online: Alicization () 322 0.15 194 How embarrassing.
Do you think toonami will ever show subs instead of dubs?
Joshua Ward
While this is true for the reruns- its always done very well when following Family Guy. They often get the same ratings or Super does better. When you throw another anime in front of it, a bunch of that audience leaves.
Parker Davis
>They often get the same ratings or Super does better. FG reruns gets WAY better ratings than Super premieres. If Super needed FG to survive it wouldn't have done this way throughout its run.
>it doesn’t matter where Super airs it will always pull the same ratings >2 weeks after being moved away from Family Guy it has lost 250k viewers Where are the retards who said this would work so we can shame them?
The dubbing in this arc is pretty subpar and the arc drags the fuck out with a bunch of pointless fights and people from the stands blabbering. And not to mention that whole Vic stuff left a bad taste in everyone's mouth.
Does Toonami have any hope come October when they run out of Super to premiere? It feels like any time there is even a slight change to the FG/Super pairing the entire block falls apart instantly
Just think, this could have completely changed the course of Josh Grelle’s career which ended up being every harem protagonist ever.
Eli Turner
>Vic McNugget was Viral >Monica Rial was the little hamster thing No wonder she is so upset. Also why hasn’t this full dub been leaked? Many people received a disk with the full first handful of episodes
Brandon Russell
Their one beacon of hope is that Toei starts a new DB TV anime in the next 5 months, allows it to leave Japan for English dubbing in that 5 month window, and that Toei pushes for it to air on Toonami. As a bonus, they also have to pray that the Vic case doesn’t influence the dub speed which it likely will.
The outlook isn’t looking good, and every week that goes by with no announcement of a new series increases the likelihood of there not being one in time
Samuel Reed
Who the fuck doesn't just use DVR?
Ryder Torres
@Clarknova1 #toonami fans, we are aware of last night’s DBZ frame rate issue. Will be looking into it. Thanks for the heads up. It’s most likely some weird technical thing either on our end or the distrubutor’s. We’ll get to the bottom of it.
>And not to mention that whole Vic stuff left a bad taste in everyone's mouth. I was worried about that when it first started, but everyone told me most people didn't know or care about it. I guess more people know about it now than then?
Cameron Baker
How did you feel about the last episode where shit finally hit the fan?
Matthew Smith
Like always, Youtubers reporting it gave it momentum.
Dominic Gomez
Because they don’t. It’s a loud minority of people that are either pro or anti Vic making it seem bigger than it is. Most Toonami viewers probably can’t even ID his voice.
The only way Vic stuff will have any effect on Toonami is if a new DB series releases and Toei holds the dub back so it’s not directly associated with court drama
Matthew Bailey
>claim to have two other shows lined up you will announce soon >2 weeks have passed and nothing This block is a joke
1:00a Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure: Diamond is Unbreakable 330 0.19 242
1:30a Black Clover (r) 265 0.14 184
2:00a Boruto: Naruto Next Generations 210 0.11 147
2:30a Naruto: Shippuden (r) 232 0.12 160
3:00a Hunter X Hunter (r) 250 0.13 172
3:30a Gemusetto Machu Picchu (r) 213 0.11 146
Good Lord, we have really shit the bed this week, haven't we? This weekend is the last weekend for Black Clover to beat Jojo, otherwise the streak which started in July of 2018 will be broken. If I watched the 0079 movies, should I even bother with Origin?
Ryan Hernandez
The streak will probably be broken, it's the season finale.
Blake Ortiz
Part 5 isn’t dubbed. People said it wouldn’t transition months ago because that’s how Viz works
Samuel Turner
You shouldn’t bother regardless. Origin is boring dreck that goes out of its way to tug off Char at every turn
Austin Brown
I saw my stepdad watching TItan last night and I think it was even subbed. I guess people do still care.
William Morris
I just didn't think a framerate issue could happen perfectly within the confines of specific scenes without spilling out without being deliberate.
Logan Mitchell
This 2nd half of Season 3 actually has stuff happening every week compared to the first half of Season 3.
All good things come to an end; wonder if it'll beat Gundam?
Hudson Butler
Josh is a fine choice, though i think getting Yuri as him worked out better.
Xavier Ramirez
Josh is a decent VA, he just really got shoehorned into that harem protag typecast after he took over for Scott Freeman in DxD. He had done a few prior to that, but they didn’t define him
Aiden Miller
>Krone died
But she was the only fun and interesting character in the show thus far...
Dylan Gonzalez
I need the return of sci-fi urban fantasy weekend comfiness
I'm completely unaware of standards anymore, are the current cuts of most Toonami shows unairable in the day legally?
The whole idea of a late-night Saturday anime block feels like a 90's thing, and it's not like most of the CN original shit is setting the world on fire outside of a couple shows. I don't see where most of shows in this block are inappropriate for the just-home-from-school hours. Counting on boomer-tier viewers seems like a mistake.
But whatever i'm drunk at 7pm on a Tuesday
Carson Bell
HAHAHA, nice joke. Next you're going to tell me the other show is Fairy Tail.
I don't think the fujos fucking like Tokyo Ghoul RE
Charles Jones
Most of the block is TV-PG with the exception of Jojo, some eps. of DBS, and HxH (occasionally SAO)
Matthew Thompson
Every time I lurk in one of these Toonami threads people seem to be scathingly negative about it and DeMarco. Sure a lot of the shows are normie-tier (MHA, AOT, DBS), but isn’t that good for them? I don’t keep up with Toonami or anime anymore so I don’t understand all the controversy.
Joseph Myers
>Every time I lurk in one of these Toonami threads people seem to be scathingly negative Because these threads are full of white boys.
Xavier Hughes
seething
Jonathan Ramirez
Almost everything Toonami airs doesn’t belong on AS, but because of asinine parents, stuff like MHA and BC would still need many edits to air in the day.
Though that really isn’t the main issue, CN just has no interest in anything action in the first place
And let’s not joke, only boomers care and watch Toonami. Kids grew up streaming on demand, they have zero attachment to this archaic form of watching anime
David Ross
Good thing fujos aren’t a target Toonami demo then
Christian Morgan
Is TV-PG required for daytime hours?
To be perfectly honest DBS and The Promised Neverland wouldn't really feel out of place during the daytime blocks. MHA ironically has a bit more blood/fanservice than I think CN would be comfortable with but if it's not a legal issue then I don't see why not.
Jackson Phillips
Ah go shoot up a school, Connor.
Aaron King
The plot of TPN is the kids are food. That would never fly on CN. MHA doesn’t have any more fanservice than original Naruto did, and they aired that. Super, MHA, BC, Naruto, and Boruto would all be fine in the daytime. But as notes, they would still require some level of censorship
Nathaniel Cooper
This is just shitposting, right? We aren't actually getting more of that shit, are we?
Brody Gray
cope, ya shitskin simp
David Bailey
No it’s not. Because those normie tier shows are the same shows most people are streaming on their own schedule and not farting around waiting for Toonami to finish them over the course of a year or more. They are popular content, but that hurts them significantly.
As for Demarco, he is just a fucking moron. He knows for a fact that the Toonami crowd avoided both Lupin and Gundam, yet he got more of both because to this day he treats the block as his MAL profile.
Brandon Collins
It was leaked, official announcement should go live soon once AS realizes it leaked
Brody Young
Where was it leaked?
Adrian Jackson
why are you surprised? we always get more AoT, Gundam, and whatever else shit Demarco loves but no one watches. meanwhile, stuff people actually would enjoy, like OPM and Mob S2, fall by the wayside
Jeremiah Phillips
Twitter
Jayden Morgan
OPM isn’t even dubbed. If you are gonna bitch, at least make sense.
Mob is unacceptable though considering the block is supposedly partnered with CR
Dylan Howard
I think people are assuming a lot believing that people would watch Mob S2 on Toonami. Substituting your own MAL profile for DeMarcos isn't genius-tier shit
Christopher Parker
don't act like it woudln't be dubbed if Toonami actually wanted it
Aaron Cruz
I'm just gonna say that you're full of shit until proven otherwise
Joseph Carter
Nobody cares about that. They aired S1 then announced a CR partnership. It was a logical conclusion that they did this to dub premiere S2 on the block.
Lucas Reed
It wouldn’t be. Viz never dubs till a show is complete. Same reason we aren’t getting Jojo p5 right now
Nathaniel Reyes
>Tiffany Grant as Yoko I like Michelle Ruff but this works better >First handful of episodes >full dub You answered your own question.
Andrew Price
Potential show announcements:
>Kimetsu no Yaiba >OPM S2 >Fairy Gone >Sarazanmai >Tate no Yuusha after SAO is over >MOB II >Steven Universe
Jose Williams
DiU's dub didn't even finish until recently anyways. Anyone who thought it would go right into it is brain-damaged.
Sebastian Foster
I bet they thought they would too, but Funimation stopped it from happening
Joshua Thomas
Reminder you should never expect anything new. If there's a sequel available to any show we've watched, then you're gonna get it.
Why do you still have any hope in the block?
Henry Morris
>Sarazanmai I can't even imagine that would be considered.
Mason Garcia
Epcar did at a panel in April. He either didn’t know it hadn’t been announced or, more likely doesn’t give a shit because he’s a veteran and won’t suffer the consequences.
He leaked that they were doing part 4. He literally tweeted a picture of the poster and said “starting to work on a “TOP SECRET” Project. You’ll never guess what it is”
Hudson Long
Sorry I thought this was about Lupin
But I wouldn’t put it past Epcar to leak things he’s not even a part of
Parker Smith
It’s bullshit. There’s no reason to hold back something like that
Dominic Phillips
That’s another show that seemed like they were airing the first series to get ready to dub premiere the second
Sebastian Taylor
I meant the first episodes are fully dubbed, yet only one clip has ever leaked
Isaac Turner
Has there been a project in recent years that Epcar was on that he hasn’t leaked many months ahead of schedule?
Nathaniel Young
Gimmie the walkdown. How many uninterrupted minutes of walking are we talking here?
Adrian Evans
Wow all shit. Would it kill Toonami to consider something decent?
Brody Watson
>Would it kill Toonami to consider something decent? Yes
Leo Anderson
samflam
Daniel Barnes
>Sarazanmai If we are getting a MAPPA show, it should be Kakegurui
Henry Ortiz
Hero into Super: GAIN 13.8% see even casuals hate noodle saiyans Super into Titan: Lose 28.9% Titan into Neverland: Lose 17.6% tfw mom will never break your leg Neverland into SAO: GAIN 3.9% SAO into Jojo: Lose 15.8% Jojo into Clover: Lose 12.2% Obligatory comment Clover into Boruto: Lose 13.4% Boruto into Naruto: Lose 7.8% I don't believe it Naruto into Hunter: GAIN 11.1% LEORIO DONT GIVE UP
Shit night overall, we don't dip below 200k very often and Naruto of all shows does it!?
>has a very minor role in part 4 >still leaks it 5 months ahead of schedule How does the madman keep getting away with it? Why do studios still give him sensitive information?
If Hulu hadn’t snapped on the second season we would have
Nathaniel Lee
Chicken is food. If you aren’t vegan, then your kids know cows and chickens and pigs need to die for them to eat what they do. Eating humans is a whole different game, even if they are demons. Plus, we have now had 2 on screen deaths, there’s another no go factor for CN
Nathaniel Price
Or Dororo but that's a never ever because >amazon
Landon Walker
And Kakegurui is out because of Netflix, so nobody wins
Aaron Bailey
Based. Gundam and Tokyo Ghoul was a classic Toonami pairing of 2017.
David Morris
Even though I like to eventually watch HxH, I'm gonna retire after TPNL.
Liam Lee
wtf lol the other show is sgt frog
Connor Davis
Wow that's sad
Robert Baker
I think as far as a trailer was made showing various other characters. I remember hearing Leeron, it was bad compared to how Blum did it.
I really don’t know what options they have when it happens. American Dad could maintain AS if it lost about half its time, but it can’t do everything with the current length of AS. The only original AS had that pulls passable ratings as a rerun is Rick and Morty, and even that is showing fatigue from how much abuse it has got.
David Allen
They’ll be alright until 2023 when they lose Bob’s Burgers. By then they need another hit original or a drastic cut in hours.
Gabriel King
No, even though it doesn't matter anymore because ratings are dogshit and will never get better. Nothing to lose now, might as well just go all out and air subbed anime that is pure normalfag poison.
Julian Ortiz
>Sarazanmai On what planet would Demarco, the faggit, air this show?
Wyatt Peterson
Sarazanmai I would rather gay bears
Joshua Martin
Manservice is a okay
Jace Jackson
This looks pedoriffic.
Eli Hughes
so did magica and look how that turned out
made in abyss gets dark quick
Brody Perez
It's really gay though.
Michael Ramirez
Better than the DiU voice, worse than the ASB/EoH voice. Koyama was fucking amazing as Kira.
Mason Edwards
The only thing I know about Abyss is that one page Yea Forums kept spamming everywhere like a year ago with the boy(?) hooked up to some kind of torture porn device stuck to his penis while they ripped off one of his arms to harvest blood.
Dylan Perry
Yea there’s plenty of that. It had nudity, Demarco won’t touch it with a 10 foot pole
>If I watched the 0079 movies, should I even bother with Origin? I think the Origin anime is mostly prequel material so won't be retreading 0079 like the manga does.
Isaiah King
>are the current cuts of most Toonami shows unairable in the day legally? You can air whatever you want on cable. The networks just don't because it'll scare advertisers off.
Josiah Fisher
I mean probably, the butchered the rape scene
Ayden Thompson
He really has knocked it out of the park. I'd put him up there with Dameon Clarke's Cell in terms of entertaining villain deliveries.
Christian Young
>Demarco sucks Is there a more based and redpilled string of words?
That would be...strange, to say the least. Is there a Tweet from Funimation to support this article?
Ethan Ramirez
Current Series End Dates (accounting for marathons): My Hero Academia - August 17, 2019 Dragon Ball Super - October 12, 2019 Attack on Titan - August 10, 2019 The Promised Neverland - June 29, 2019 Sword Art Online: Alicization - July 13, 2019 JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Diamond is Unbreakable - June 8, 2019 Black Clover - TBD Boruto: Naruto Next Generations - TBD Naruto: Shippuden - November 9, 2024 Hunter X Hunter - June 22, 2019
William Young
>it's a real article Are you kidding me?
Jason Reyes
This has to be someone pranking ANN. There’s no way this is real.
Chase Thompson
The arc gets pretty boring and repetitive at certain points with Goku vs. Kale and Caulifa, or Gohan and Piccolo fighting Space Nameks being the best fights.
They better get Ocean Dub Piccolo to voice the U6 nameks
Joseph Diaz
I wish
Jace Roberts
He said one of the could be considered “non-action”, as in FLCL and Megalobox can be considered non-action.
Levi Gutierrez
It’s a fake press release. ANN got duped... again.
Lucas Harris
the hacker known as Yea Forums strikes again
Aiden Robinson
>by August, most of the shows that were around in 2018 will be gone
What are the odds of him canning Boruto? Also, do we have episode counts for the new Lupin and Origin?
Not high. Even though it’s doing poorly, with all these long runners leaving at once, they won’t want to create extra work
Levi Walker
AS forced Demarco not to renew it because it was so damn expensive and pulled such shit ratings. If it was up to Demarco, they would. But it isn’t thankfully
S2 and the first part of S3 that would have been fine. This current part of S3 is actually engaging
Gavin Taylor
We got SAO, r-right?
Luis Scott
When is Trigun coming to the block?
Leo Perez
Never
Angel Reed
>more reruns no one will watch Why?
Camden Peterson
Since when do cable companies care about ratings? CN has no problem airing Teen Titans Go!, or Gumball six hours or even a whole day.
Shit, Comedy Central burns thru the entire run on the Office by airing it 4 hours every weekday. I'm surprised nobody ever thought of doing that with OG Dragonball, Inuyasha, or GGundam.
The only capable company that knows how to make a good schedule is ME-TV, and they air nothing but reruns.
Christopher Ward
Americans hate Isekai because they're just MMORPGS, and Dragon Quest fanfiction. Nobody cares about Kirito leveling up his stats, or the inner workings of Overlord's lore.
Aaron Walker
>when do cable companies care about ratings >proceeds to list cheap, high draw shows that other networks spam because they draw a consistent audience Next you will ask why AS airs Family Guy all the time >why doesn’t anyone air DB or Gundam Because it’s OLD and EXPENSIVE, on top of being something most won’t watch. You nostalgia retards really do only have single digit brain cells
Nicholas Young
>Americans hate isekai >isekai series were topping the western seasonal charts for the past few years Just because many don’t like SAO doesn’t mean it wasn’t insanely popular when it was new. Even now it has a sizeable following still
I haven't kept up with One Piece. Did Wano, or Dressorra Arc kill the franchise?
Jaxon Powell
Because it’s fuckin old. Kids who grew up with it are working 110 hour work weeks now. And it sure isn’t gaining many new readers this deep into its story. Oda needs to wrap it up
Kevin Myers
One Piece's success was mostly due to it's adult fanbase and appealing to every demographic. I'm guessing they hate how toyetic, and commercialized the designs have become.
Xavier Murphy
You can only drag a story out so long before people start losing interest. It’s reached that point where the current crew is too ingrained so most realize the crew will never add more members at this point. Now it’s just kind of meandering around and not really doing anything, so people are kicking the 20 year habit
Jayden Green
>chopper has a decent design at first >turned into kawaii ugu >never even gets to fight now
Ethan Murphy
Apparently Isekai is really popular in China too.
Christian Hernandez
Chinese fantasy staples are very ripe for the isekai formula
Jordan Reyes
I’m not surprised, imagining a world with food is probably a common fantasy
Jayden White
It's literally TOO FUCKING LONG and the only people following it are the ones that were there at the beginning and the end is nowhere in sight.
Grayson Brown
Japan has plenty of weekly long running series like Ippo, Doraemon, and Conan. One Piece just doesn't have a clear end in sight where Luffy becomes the Pirate King.
People won't watch old anime for stupid reasons. They hate the 4:3 format, the feel of hand made animation, or the intentional change in heights, colors, and other designs to set the mood.
I honestly blame the industry for cutting costs and for shifting focus from episodic adventures to a serialized narrative and "character development". IN short, I blame plotfags for the death of anime.
Bentley Scott
China invented the Isekai Genre. They just believe that heroes should be ultra chads who got reincarnated from a great Chinese Hero to become greater than they were in the past.
Isekai is just a Japanese for of Wuxia, with modern anxiety thrown in.
Henry Robinson
5 more minutes till announcement
Logan Butler
Its Boogiepop
Leo Bennett
The end actually came into sight a while ago when they found out about the actual fucking map to the final island on the Grand Line where the One Piece treasure is.
And surprise, the map is in four pieces, three of which are in possession of one of the four pirate emperors.
And the Straw hats already have two of the pieces.
Thomas Gray
Luffy seems like the guy who'd be content with being Warlord of the Sea, or Four Pirate Emperor Tier.
I half expect Buggy to be the one to get One Piece.
Adrian Wright
>Isekai is just a Japanese for of Wuxia The earliest examples of Japanese isekai were mostly shoujo and had nothing to do with Wuxia And fiction involving being transported to another world is way older than that
Jayden Gutierrez
Is it Boogiepop?
Brandon Gonzalez
Shoujo is pure trash. They keep dumping high school girls into fantastical worlds so she can hook up with the guy, and then force him to choose between her and power.
Charles Howard
Are we reading the same series? Luffy's end goal is to "have more freedom than anyone". That's how he defines being Pirate King.
Evan Cook
Nah, they're going to force that "Friendship is the Ultimate Treasure" message into One Piece.
Christopher Morgan
It's probably going to be a space ship or something crazy like that. There's fucking pirates on the moon, so space pirates are already a thing in the setting.
a little off topic, has anyone received any information/anything for the dragon ball super giveaways toonami was promoting a few months back?
Christopher Cox
>Fraudulent Funimation Press Release did they got an email saying that, and wrote an article around it? I hope these people don't think of themselves as journalists of any type.
Blake Sanders
Toonami Faithful got the “press release” too and posted it on twitter but have since took it down. They were skeptical at the start. ANN got the same thing and immediately made an article without any verification
Colton Sanders
GUYS where is jack?
Eli Williams
Who cares?
Jack Scott
Adult Swim changed their schedule so that American Dad, Family Guy, Bobs Burgers, Rick and Morty, and Robot Chicken are before midnight, while After Midnight is reserved for their lesser shows.
Justin Hernandez
He went back to the past.
Brody Evans
comedy gold
Xavier Wright
As it should be. Why air crap no one watches in the best hours of the night?
Ethan James
Everytime I see this I think it says Star Trek The Next Generation
Camden Martinez
Boy, I hope somebody got fired for that blunder.
Andrew Cox
dudes i just got back from seeing brightburn and realized it's basically dragon ball
Samuel Stewart
I guess people were getting tired of watching Squidbillies.
Nolan Morgan
Modern journalism says report first, verify later
Charles Howard
The author confirmed he won't do that crap.
Tyler Evans
>screencapping your own completely erroneous post
Blake Lee
>Kimetsu no Yaiba
Would be nice
>OPM S2
Definitely at some point but not any time soon
>Fairy Gone
I fucking hope not
>Sarazanmai
What the fuck no
>Tate no Yuusha
Too controversial, DeMarco probably doesn't like it because he's a basedboy
>MOB II
Definitely sometime this year
>Steven Universe
End your life
William Smith
Check the schedule.
Dominic Ross
Don't forget Adventure Time.
Evan Hernandez
Based Boogiebros. Yeah, she's coming. The fact that Demarco said that each of the two unannounced shows could be considered non-action boosts the show's chances, and they definitely both can't be comedies.
The solution to these various problems is simple. Hardcore nudity. If Toonami would just commit and air like 2 slots of unceasing sexual degeneracy at face value I guarantee a ratings increase of like 10k for like a week. That's a BIG deal.
Cameron Cooper
But that’s never
Henry Wilson
The spectacle of a cable network finally breaking the conditioning and showing bare titties, even anime ones, would draw a huge crowd
Henry Baker
the big question is what company is ballsy enough to pay for advertising during those shows, associating themselves with weeb fetish fuel and being 'problematic' in the me-too era
>Lupin replacing Jojo Thank fucking Christ. Jojo is fucking stupid and it's refreshing to see a show on Toonami that is not about punching people over and over. Also if you're gonna be replaced, you might as well be replaced by one of the most influential and iconic franchises of all time.
Anthony Martinez
Nobody. Even regular shows that just have gratuitous tits for no reason would struggle, as most will associate their audience with masterbaters
Dylan Jackson
Never gonna give you up Never gonna let you down
Joseph Long
why isn't anime more popular on tv? from how popular it is online even with normies youd think something like psycho pass would do ok on like fox or something
>how popular it is online There’s your answer. Why wait for cable when you can get it anytime online?
Samuel Garcia
So come Jan 1 2020 when it hasn’t aired you will give up, right?
Caleb Davis
i am a few thousand dollars in liquor, juice, sandwiches, sexdolls and store bought ice into my relationship with toonami. i dont see why i should stop now
Oliver Edwards
It will air before then, but nah if it doesn't I will give it two years before calling it quits. If there's even a Toonami in two years
Benjamin Gutierrez
Normalfags don't respect animation of any kind. When they hear the word "anime" they think of DBZ and Voltron. Psycho Pass would never air on Fox and if it did it would bomb spectacularly because they would take one look and change the channel.
It's part of why whenever I hear some stupid fuck cry "anime is mainstream now" I can't help but laugh.
because if youre into anime you arent watching shitty dubs on tv.
Jose Powell
Pretty much this. You're also not streaming it either
Ethan Clark
It’s not mainstream, but I get what those people mean. With all the streaming options, anime has reached a much wider audience than it was able to in the past. Shit like Jojo and AoT would not have been normalfag shit 10 years ago
Eli Morgan
>sexdolls
That reminds me, whatever happened to the guy with a realdoll he dressed as Ryouko?
Daniel Rivera
>Deku and Bakugo will take a Test >Universe 7 goes out of the World and Arrives pic related >The Descent Movie is being played on AoT >Mason, Will be a Good Boy and tell me what the fuck are the damn Numbers >Seal’s Right Eye >The Finale of JoJo: Diamond is Unbreakable >Royal Knights will take the Test along with Deku and Bakugo >WIRTHIN IN THE STARS >THERE IS NO PEACE IN NATURO >Vince McMahon arrives in HxH
>Gundam: The Origin replaces TPN on July 6th. Holy fuck if you think TPN is boring you ain’t seen nothing yet. Go fuck yourself, Demarco. The Origin is the best gundam anime in the franchise and easily the best series on your entire list, you retarded tomino cocksucking boomer.
Lucas Fisher
>The Origin is the best gundam anime in the franchise Not even close you dick sucking char faggit
Yeah but people talk as if it's as mainstream as comic book movies or GOT which is kinda silly. >AoT I could totally see it attracting the normalfag crowd. Has the same "mature" vibe to it like Death Note and FMA did.
Easton Lee
AoT was extremely popular with normies when the first season came out.
Austin Allen
Attack on Titan was popular with normies because of it's premise of humanity banding together to fight giant monsters. The focus on politics and conspiracy theories after Season 1 killed interest of the show.
Part of the problem is that the conspiracy is one sided and the heroes are right about everything, leaving the other side a bunch of straw man who they dominate.
Oliver Richardson
Well, the focus on politics and the four year timeskip between Season 1 and Season 2 killed the hype.
Brandon Nguyen
Where am the new show
Carter Thompson
I feel like Origin compensates for the lack of autistic newtypes by making Char hyper competent at being a soldier.
In 0079, it was implied that he simply lack the resources to get revenge on the Zabis, but in Origins he's just a one man killing machine.
Nolan Taylor
Right here
Christopher Sullivan
This is Anime News Network we're talking about. They'll probably be promoted for be being "brave" against the mean internet trolls.
William Bennett
The best piece of shit isn’t somewhere to place pride. It’s boring schlock like every other Gundam
Ayden Perez
Reconguista in G was the last engaging Gundam in recent times. The characters had strong interpersonal relationships and dynamics that's missing from other non Tomino Gundam except for G Gundam
Brandon Peterson
If we have to have a Gundam, why not Gundam Build Fighters?
Because it’s a toy commercial for children and Toonami is on AS. I don’t know why this has to be explained EVERY week >but shonen is for kids too! And also isn’t blatant toy shilling either
Angel Cruz
Build Fighters is a Toy Commercial. Adult Swim wouldn't air it and they don't like the obsessive anime fan market.
Reconguista has a better chance because it's self contained and not established in any timeline.
Ian Lee
Once Origin bombs that should be the end of Gundam on the block
Jacob Campbell
Origins is gonna bomb because Americans hate Char. His negative traits like backstabbing, hooking up with little girls, and refusal to take responsibility, and sociopathic tendencies makes him unlikeable.
I honestly think ZZ would be better received because Judau had the bright idea to fuck off into space.
Xavier Cox
It’s going to bomb because it’s actionless, political garbage. I don’t understand why people can’t grasp why Gundam fails. It’s boring, no one cares who the characters are if they are all boring
Ayden Moore
Carole and Tuesday when? DeMarco loves Watanbeshit.
Dresrossa definitely dragged on way too long. Everybody lost interest in it about halfway through.
Anthony Gutierrez
>and the only people following it are the ones that were there at the beginning a Lol no, I was there at the beginning and followed it all the way to the timeskip, then dropped it halfway through Fishman Island because the magic was just gone. Giving everybody offscreen power ups and defelopment just to artificially raise their powerlevels, and the introduction of Haki bullshit was a mistake.
Joshua Bennett
Build Fighters is too good for Toonami, Try is more its speed.
Parker Jenkins
Americans have simple desires and want a chad as a mecha protagonist. It's all boring because Gundam keeps putting an autistic newtype, or a genetically engineered character in the place of MC.
Judau is the closest thing to a mega chad that Gundam as, aside from Domon in which he rightfully chooses pussy over war.
Colton Cooper
Americans simple interest is they want to see sick mech fights every episode in their mecha anime. Some Gundam never delivers on
Christian Williams
>One Piece returns to Toonami >It immediately gets dropped into the same 2:30 AM death slot it was in last time >mfw
Where the fuck else would it go? They canned it for shit ratings. Though it wouldn’t shock me to see OPfags act entitled if they were given time they don’t deserve back
Easton Perry
Whenever a new show is on the horizon there are posts like that every day. Expect it every thread for the coming months since so much shit is ending
More action in this clip than all of Origin
Isaiah Robinson
Why is that man having rough sex with that dog?
Alexander Butler
Whenever we get autosaged a show is announced the next day
>Though it wouldn’t shock me to see OPfags act entitled if they were given time they don’t deserve back I'm pretty that's just one guy who keeps spamming threads
Levi Robinson
What was the point of slapping a TV-MA-S rating on it if they cut most of the """""rape""""" anyway? Demarco claims S&P made them do it but I have a feeling they made the call themselves because muh woke culture.
Josiah Brooks
>Reconguista has a better chance because it's self contained and not established in any timeline.
It would have been perfect, if it had a dub.
Camden Howard
Reconguista is a commercial success. It's just that critics are literally too dumb to understand the plot because there's no exposition. Tomino's writing scares modern viewers because it's more opera or theater like in quality.
