Nah, bar few exceptions, professionals are pretty lazy with 2D nowadays. 3D can sounds repetitive, but holds consistent quality in general.

Id take 2d over 3d shit any day of the week, especially with all these shitty 3d remakes.

That show looks so ugly and dated already, I wonder how the defense force will work in 3-4 years to excuse how much of their life they sank into that show.

ladybug and chat noir was in the core concept from the start. The problem is marketing replacing "good luck / bad luck" dynamics with "creation/destruction" powers that allow for super lazy episode endings, especially the part when Ladybug can reset absolutely all damage done during battle without any efforts.

Chat was conceived as little more than the Tuxedo Mask-esque love rival, not a full-blown ally. It was always about just Ladybug from the start.

Monkey King influences are pretty cool

The good luck/bad luck dynamics is still there, anyway, since LB is always displayed as better, smarter and badass, while Chat is bumbling partner who gets the short stick almost everytime.

Would the show better if both the protagonists were equally developed? The current format is okay for little kids (which is the main target), but I think it would be more popular if both LB and Chat (and the 3 main part timers, occasionally) were more equal, or if Chat was a better deuteragonist.

I had an old coworker who I couldnt get to watch the show because Ladybug was totally sexualized in her mind. The skin tight super suit was sexualized as it "left nothing to the imagination". She’s like 15 so there is not really valid reason for giving her curves and a tight latex suit.

On a meaningless note, Astruc clarified that Alix's Miracle name is spelled "Bunnyx".

Actually she was concieved to have a whole team from the start of like 5 people, 3 of whom weren't Miraculous releated but it got paired down to just the two of them, with Ladybug being the main star and Cat just being the sidekick.

Because Astruc thinks his shitty writing is enough to keep the show going for years but Zag knows they have to tease stuff to keep people watching.

The initial description last year was that it was a season 5 set story featuring everything up till that point.

I really hope it's not just a shinier Origins episode. We already saw that.

Well, switzerland is expected to get gamer 2.0 this month (max gets akumatized) and spain's finished recording ikari gozen (kagami's mom gets akumatized) a few weeks ago. Unless zag's about to post luka I'm gonna assume these two are finished renders for the episodes about to air.

So with max being listed as pegase and luka's spoiler from ages ago we got 4 or 5 new heroes this season depending if you count bunnyx or not. Wouldn't be surprised if current alix getting a miraculous is saved for the last season since we've already seen her future.

By that point, what's left to awaken? Unless it's going to be Lila awakening as the new Hawk Moth.
