Make your own team

Create a team of any kind.

Elaborate on the team dynamics and what they would be dealing with

Hard mode: Must be somewhat plausible (no cross-overs etc)

>No spidey

Shit pic.

Just gonna ignore all the rules....

I've got one:

>Galatea (Supergirl's clone)
Team muscle and fanservice
>The Olympian (Greek dude from jla classified)
Another powerhouse and team's expert on mythology
>Bryndon, the last scientist on (his) Earth
Team's brains and tech expert
>Sideways
Team's rookie and transport

Together they scoop around the globe, seeking out crisises overlooked by the big guns, that can potentially blow up into everyone's faces. Alien tech left over from last week's invasion? Check. Legendary artifact suddenly found in a backwoods museum? Check. Crime bosses trading in metahuman organs? Check.

I have no name for this gang but my idea was that Oracle needed some people to do her dirty work so she got them together and then they do it. All street-level DC characters with somewhat possibly flexible morals. I think I'll expand on the roster a bit, actually.

>Dumb Bunny
The sexy tank
>Metamorpho
The Versatile/Adaptable one
>Comet the Super-horse
Obligatory Superman Family member
>Maxima
Obligatory villain turned hero
>Zatanna
Occult character
>Genius Jones
Sort of an action-Xavier who is the team's main planner and strategist but who also heads out into action with them. However he still charges them a dime every time they ask him a question.

There we go, that's a bit better. This is a team that doesn't operate together, naturally, since some of the heroes might take offense to working with some of the less reputable characters. It'd be kind of like Morrison's Seven Soldiers, except Oracle knows what everyone is doing and how their actions fit together. I haven't quite figured out who would be in the same group with each other though. Any ideas?

Throwing my marvel magic team in here. Deals with threats inside the mystical realms under request of their patron entities. Those who don't have patrons are roped in somehow and stay to help

>Leaders
Strange and Clea: these two have tons of experience in all sorts of magical realms, and both are capable leaders.

Strange is sterner and keeps the team together while Clea is more relaxed and encouraging. Clea also acts as ambassador when they visit other realms

>Shaman: The druid. More healing magic and creature communication than anything else. Doesn't like fighting, thus disagrees with most offensive plans
>Voodoo: Tends to use elemental magic. Synergies with Shaman for most of his spells. Guy with most overall knowledge outside of strange, frequent discussions with him away from the rest
>Scarlet Witch: Hex magic. Team somewhat suspicious of why patron put her here. Shows most initiative and encourages quieter members to speak
>Magik: Hot-headed teen, rushes into battle with Elsa
>Bloodstone: Melee and guns. Has fun fighting Also hot-headed, and takes on a bit of a mentor role towards magik
>Gargoyle: Monster rep, a big softie. Tries to stay out of fights even when fighting, and thus beefs with bloodstone

I always like to start with Hippy Thor and add Symbiote Scientist Spider-man. You know give characters a little +. Hippy Thor seems more powerful because he teleported more and has some psionic abilities, Symbiote Scientist Peter Parker has invisibility, unlimited webbing, increased strength, healing and increased durability. Then I ask myself if I want to go through this again, with the explaining of the three modes of Arch Angel, Warren Worthington the Third's various abilities in each of his incarnations. You know he's got healing blood sometimes or fire wings. But I don't know. I don't like pulling in Lifeguard because he names so lame and her powerset's so mary-sue OP.
So the vibe sends me in the other direction, Cosmic Cube Armor Hydra Cap, and then what? IDk I'm lost. What am I trying to do here? Am I trying to come up with a Marvel Ultimate's style Authority team of AM I trying to pull together an uber-Exiles as cool as the original team from The Real World writer? It's got to be more than four, fight, these guys can't be The New The New Fantastic Four, that's lame. But Ghost Rider is kind of powerful and the team doesn't have a Magic User besides Thor. hmm. Like I said, lost. Last time I did this I was able to come up with two halves of a team, like Exiles, the morally questionable side and the good guy side after Hydra Cap in Cube powered Armor but I forgot how that team went, I think it had Superior Octopus but I'm not feeling that right now. Girls on the team? Scarlet Witch springs to mind. She's so hot right now that she's getting her own television show with Paul Bettany. What about Vision? Well what about a grown up Vision's daughter who decided to study Magic under Dr Strange in order to build her own soul, thinking like a hard working machine for a Immigrant Mentality Allegory, working hard to compensate for the creativity that comes from being a card free first world country person with a more developed sense of the social contract.
Too OC?

Oh hey, is that the bank robber dude from Robinson's Starman? Bottom row, second from the left? He was cool

Bobo Bennetti is indeed a former bank robber but he went straight. Works security in a bank he used to rob. A good man. Strongest person in the team.

Yeah, he's pretty neat. Old school gangster turned no-cape superhero. I like this, user, I like this a lot.

>wolverine
>occasional younger female sidekick
done

Hippy Thor
Symbiote Scientist Spider-man
Arch Angel +
Armored Hydra Cap
Viv + Chaos Magic (Viv-torious? Viva La Vida Loca?)
That's five. Do we need a sixth? Some one cranky. I'm thinking Ghost from Thunderbolts attitude and look but not Ghost from Thunderbolts. Ok. Moon Knights in Bone Armor going full OP Batman to over compensate for being the only Unpowered person on the team. Moon Knights is cool that way, he can really act like he has no original incarnation and he can sort of lunch above his wieght -class as a Magic empowered Midnighter-equivalent. I like the idea of him playing off of Steve Rogers as another different kind of soldier.
Anything elss? How about a ship or a home base?
Ok, let's mix this up by saying that Peter pulled them together after solving the problem of the Totem hunting Elders to guard the multi-verse. Yeah, these are a Exiles team. I'!! Be coming up with an Authority team from DC next. 6 Marvel universe characters with a little extra pulled together to fix breaks in the web. Assembled by Symbiote Scientist Peter Parker and lead by Hippy Thor who brought along Hydra Cap to save his soul with his newest Girlfriend Viv whose been studying the mind of magic that has no boundary into science, Arch Angel just for show, and Moon Knights because this is a funky kind of Magic Marvel Team sans Goth and all it's emo trappings.

Ok, I was going to put together a DC team sing my Batman wins Fear Spectrum, Barbatos or Omega Adeptus defeating Paralax to usurp the Rear Spectrum. But you changed my mind. Brb with a team that Starts with Asian from the Emperor Beyond The Sea.

Actually changed it, because I used the wrong pic and didn’t realize it

Why not like a global frequency style anthology, with temporary teams being called up and gathered based on who's needed and how close then are to the threat?

I don't know what a global frequency is.

>Actually changed it, because I used the wrong [Word] and didn’t realize it.
Ditto Kiddo.
Aslan, Frog Thor as Frog Odin, why am I only thinking of Bad Guys like Solaris from Morrison's Superman run? Ok, lets me not call Lucifer a bad guy, that's disrespectful.
So Aslan, Frog Thor, Gaiman's Morningstar in his Venusian form(Riding around on a giant planetary computer as a vehicle). Jackie Estacado, The Darkness. Baron Munchause and girl. Girl is just a regular girl but she might have the powers from RASL.

That's a TEAM!

>The Global Frequency is an independent, covert intelligence organization headed by a former intelligence agent who uses the alias of Miranda Zero. Reportedly, 1,001 people are on the Global Frequency, forming an active smart mob communicating by specially modified video mobile phones through a central dispatch system coordinated by a young woman code-named Aleph.

>The purpose of the organization is to protect and rescue the world from the consequences of the various secret projects that the governments or individuals of the world have established, which are unknown to the public at large. The people on the Global Frequency are chosen and called on for their specialized skills in a variety of areas, and include military personnel, intelligence agents, police detectives, scientific researchers, academics, athletes, former criminals and assassins. The threats addressed by the organization are equally varied and usually world-threatening, including rogue military operations, paranormal phenomena, terrorist attacks and religious cults.

That seems kinda official-like. My idea was for the team to be something only Babs knows about, with the separate cells having no clue there are others acting towards a goal they don't even know exists. Because the heroes wouldn't approve of the things Oracle got Tommy, Natt, Lawton or Eddie to do.
That said I never came up with the idea of what it is that they're actually trying to accomplish.

I don't I is enough about DC street level characters to come up with a team Barbara Gordan would be able to call on and the idea of making others in DC seems kind of wierd. Help, Superman, I'm being mugged!

Interesting group

The idea will mesh well with yours! Small, unofficial teams who have no idea that there are other squads each completing a goal with Babs directing the lot. She basically calls up the people she needs for a specific mission from the pool of people you have and sends them out. Each squad has a rotating roster from this pool due this set up, though the people who wouldn't mesh well obviously don't get teamed up

I updated the chart! The people on the horizontal lines operate together, with the one first from the left as the leader. Thoughts?

I'd read it. The idea of having Genius Jones as a Reed type character is fun. Maxima would have to be nerfed if Dumb Bunny is going to be the tank though.

Add Richard Dragon and a Robin or two and I'm sold!

Travelling to the present to prevent the nuclear war which has decimated their timeline, the Atomic Knights known as Gardner Grayle & Marene Herald enlist the help of Captain Comet (who has the powers of an ideal future man), Buddy Baker the "Animal Man" who some say has foresight into the nature of reality, The Enchantress (finally in control of her dark side, but at the cost of never being able to be June Moon again) and a strange Faceless Creature from Saturn (raised on Earth and wanting to be a hero). They unite together as...The Strange Adventurers!

The old school sci-fi hero who thinks he should be in charge, the fourth-wall breaker who provides the comedy relief but actually is more competent than any of the others, the mystic who has great power but has to live on in the form of a despised and hated villainess, two post-apocalyptic warriors who want to prevent their own timeline from existing but are ambivalent about it, and a big monster to be the 'heart' of the team. It could work.

Alright, how's this? I added a bunch of cool people as well. Richard is naturally the leader of his cell and the only Robin worthy of the name is Tim Drake so he's the one I'm using.

Eh, forget the non-crossover rules for this one.

Kid Miracleman/Marvelman, Red Hood, Midnight, Janu/Congorilla II, Scout, Dennis Barclay and Winter Soldier form...The Legion of Evil Sidekicks!

Their goal is to destroy their former friends, but they don't really get along considering Johnny Bates hates pretty much everyone and doesn't like that Scout sounds so similar to himself, Red Hood & Winter Soldier both realize they have potential to reform, Dennis doesn't really want revenge on Swamp Thing, just Abby, and Midnight and Congorilla just decide to go get a burger.

It'd be pretty disappointing.
