They made a 101 Dalmatians series 40 years after the original
Can we expect a Great Mouse Detective animated series one day ?

Well that depends. Basil might be owned by his original author still.
She died in 2002
101 Dalmations is still a film that gets plenty of attention from Disney.
The Great Mouse Detective gets about as much attention as Oliver & Company or The Rescuers, just barely above The Black Cauldron.
I don't see it happening.
there was a dalmatians series in the 90s or early 00s
Ill be happy if they DON'T remake it "Live action"
I will riot if they do. Honestly, this movie is perfect the way it is. I don't want normies to know about it and ruin it on tumblr, so a show would be a bad idea.
I want live action strip tease burlesque mouse
Honestly, a series of detective stories would be the simplest thing to do.
Just keep copying Sherlock Holmes cases and you have a season easy.
Conan has been riding that train forever.
Are they going to introduce a Arsene Lupin analogue that fujos can ship with Basil? If so, I'm in.
Her estate, then.
To what end?
>remembers live action Rescue Rangers is a thing that exists now
Never mind, I've just bummed myself out.
But RR will get a new wave of 34 because of the movie! Tons of new Gadget porn! Imagine!
Yes!!!
Kino
Boring cartoon
You also had 2 live action films, a new one on the way (Blegh), an animated series in the early 2000s, and a DTV sequel.
Great Mouse Detective only has the one movie... although I would love to see him and The Rescuers get some sort of reference in The Rescue Rangers movie coming out
Great mouse detective had at least 2 comic stories
Pretty sure there were more, I remember seeing them in a local Disney comic magazine around late 80s and early 90s. Some of them were longer mystery/adventure stories, while some others took only one page and had a Slylock-like riddle in them.
But yeah, Basil never got all that much spinoff stuff. And I'm kinda surprised that Dalmatians still keep getting new works based on them. I liked the movie, but it's weird how they're focusing on that so much while ignoring many of their other old movies.
No because Dalmatians was a hit and Mouse Detective was not.
The Rescuers was considered a major success in 1977. It was part of the reason why it got a theatrical sequel in 1990, which in turn was a box office disappointment. Nowadays both of these movies are some of the least well known of the animated canon.
Oliver & Company was a hit as well and got slightly higher numbers than The Land Before Time which came out in the same year. The former got barely any other media while the latter got over a dozen crappy DTV sequels.
If the movie is Sword in the Stone or anything made between 1970-1988 you're lucky if you get an unfucked Blu-ray release.
Not entirely a reason not to revive it
>Basil has a lowkey crush and blushes everytime he sees him
I can dig it
Why? So we can get another thread on here of people bitching 24/7 about how they're getting it wrong?
