He Deserves Better

Honestly though, he does.

That fucking face makes me laugh uncontrollably

He was a pretty good guy. Deviant tastes in porno though.

Attached: specks.png (500x636, 163K)

Absolutely, if I were him I wouldn't have returned with Birtie

That cartoon was pretty fun, but the season's resolution seemed like the typical "we don't know what the fuck to do" trap that small animated productions with uncertain futures fall into

Nah, someone like him is the sort of guy who would stay with Birdie, he deserves what his temperment will allow.

I mean, he doesn't really, he doesn't have that much going for him other than a steady job which he seemingly only maintains as a result of rock-bottom standards. Bertie is a better and more interesting person than he is.

She is a selfish cunt.

Attached: Speckle.png (1322x741, 1.34M)

He really shouldn't have bought the house though

I bet his son would hate him

Nah, she is a stupid bitch.

Nah, he's from a shit show. We deserve better cartoons

Don't want to bother watching this shit, is Speckle a bitch or a cuck?

Your image seems to indicate that he is the actual selfish cunt.

both

She vanished on a 3 day road trip(apparently 2 days before Christmas) and kept rejecting his calls.

shit gf.

Did you even watch the show or are you just making shit up to fit your narrative?

He masturbates in the corner while Bertie gets off on being sexually abused by her boss

>more interesting person
Hmm
How exactly is this a merit? Seems superficial.

I'm currently watching the show for the first time (Just finished episode 9) I'm enjoying it mostly. But one thing I can't even comprehend is how they think the baker doing literally nothing bad other than being mildly annoying is equal to sexual harassment. But Tuca drunk raping people in flashbacks is just a "lol you go gurl so randum" thing. Is this going to be a clown world show?
Speckle is overly tolerant and patient and somehow I'm beginning to suspect the show will somehow want to make him a villain despite Bertie being a huge cunt.

It's girl power show bruh, did you only get it on episode 9?

No I got it from the intro on ep 1, which didn't bother me too much because I tend to like girl power shows. But 70s-90s girl power wasn't so hypocritical or twisted as the sub-tones this show hints. If the show continues down this path, season 2 will be borderline misandry.

>people unironically watch this shitshow

Attached: disgust.png (270x353, 280K)

you saw the words "from the creators of Bojack Horseman" and didn't clue-in that this was a comedy about twisted hypocrites?

>clown world

Why do people watch shows with garbage art and animation? Is it because there's nothing else? Why are most cartoons so ridiculously simple looking these days? Big Lez had a better art direction than this.

Attached: zPrIetr.jpg (720x960, 114K)

But there they make it obvious they are being twisted hypocrites, here they are making it seem like they are in the right.

He's an architect, there literally are no higher standards. It's a joke on depicting jobs the writer has no experience in.

They actually do address Speckle being shut out in the last episode. He comes pretty close to breaking up with her over it, and they go out of their way to show that he isn't wrong to feel that way.

We all do, user.

A thing that bugged me about the show was how it wasn't enough to show that women could be strong and independent (which isn't a bad thing) - they had to be strong so they could "defeat" men, and they had to become independent from men.
Tuca had the best arc, since she was dealing with some personal shit and ended up a better person at the end. Bertie's arc was mostly about how she could overcome men in some way.

Childhood is liking Bertie, adulthood is realizing Tuca is actually pretty cool

She avoided his calls for a while and then lost her phone, and then tried to play off her dodging his calls with the lost phone as an excuse.

Tuca is trying hard, which I like. So is Bertie, but in a different way.

Ironic, because the art and animation in this show is actually quite good and the visual style is pretty unique.

It's not female bojack horseman.

He's a conflict-generator. After watching the show, I barely remember Speckle's name, and he didn't have any real development.

The show was mostly about Tuca, but it was self-contradictory about the whole thing because the first half of the show is about how much everyone loves Tuca in spite of how awful she is, and the second half of the show was Tuca grappling with how awful she is while reminding her everyone still loves her in spite of it.

I guess you could fall for some of the lower moments, like when Tuca was sick and needed support and seemed actually scared instead of just loud and stupid, but honestly she didn't go through all that much growth either.

Then meanwhile Bertie got whacked out trying to preach the Femminist message while still having personal agency, which is hard to do because the modern, controversial message is that women have no agency and someone else should do something about it. It got really into this weird... thing with Pastry Pete, and it was so off color that I'm not even sure what I was supposed to feel about it.

A lot of times in sexual harassment scenarios, a male and female co-worker achieve some level of familiarity where the guy feels comfortable making passes at the woman, and then the woman doesn't want to hurt his career by going to HR about it because they're on friendly terms otherwise, and it's awkward and very... social. But Pastry Pete was like some kind of pastry-themed rape villain. It was fucking weird.

I saw it more like Bertie felt she needed to "overcome" men because of her trauma as a child, because that was easier than actually confronting the root of the problem, and then later realized she really just needed to overcome that personal part of her (by swimming to the island), and part of that was actually standing up to men who make her uncomfortable.

Nah, user. Nah.
She is an abussive selfish bitch and needs to grow the fuck up. Like everyone in this shithole, including myself.

>You’re always needing me to be your rock. Well sometimes I need YOU to be MY rock!

I got my boyfriend to watch this show with me, and he paused it at this line to say this is exactly how he feels. I’m kinda worried now.

Talk to him, then.

It’s not just the job thing, though. He’s also incredibly supportive and respectful of every single thing to do with Bertie. He puts up with her anxiety, he puts up with Tuca, he is very accepting whenever Bertie wants to get a new job or some shit on a whim, he suddenly makes an effort to be sexier and more romantic just because Bertie asks him to. But at the same time he’s not an enabler and calls out Bertie on her shit when she goes too far, and is constantly nudging her to be the best bird she can be. He’s a lot more than just a guy with a job, he’s a good boyfriend.

Nintendo switch face lmao

She made him cry.

I mean, you don't go into a show expecting the heroes to lose.

She did try to contact him using Tuca’s phone, but then gave up because Tuca either had his number mislabeled, or didn’t have it. She could’ve tried harder to find his number but she did at least scroll through Tuca’s phone to see if it was there.

What I don’t get is, if she couldn’t remember Speckle’s number, why didn’t she have it written down and keep it in her purse in case anything happened to her phone? Do people not carry hard copies of their contact numbers anymore,

you dont like weed with boobs, user?

I’m looking forward to seeing Tuca try to reconnect with her family more. I’m mostly estranged from my family, and I relate hard to the part with that one sister that has her shit together and has to do all of the work just to keep everybody connected because the rest of them won’t, and she occasional complains about it and guilt trips them, but also continues to do it. Also the older family member that puts down the loser family member of the younger generation and looks down her nose at them, but also just expects them to come snd give her attention because otherwise she’d be alone.

I liked the show from start to finish except that last episode and the one about the sex bugs, it was absolute cringe.

>show creator makes show to piss off Yea Forums
>Yea Forums more or less enjoys the show
Has she said anything about that?
Also I enjoyed Tuca’s character development, she was pretty insufferable in the first episode but I liked her as the season went on.

Anyone else really like the music direction?

>>show creator makes show to piss off Yea Forums
Where's your source on that?

I hated the sex bugs, but I liked seeing Bertie have an anxiety attack in a grocery store.

relationships are a mutual exchange. Sometimes YOU have to squash your feelings down, put your personal desires to the side, put on the brave face and tell him "We got this/I can can do this for you/Its going to be ok/You're doing a great job/Thank you for everything you do."

>It's a trial episode

Holy shit it was a bore

Other than that everything was fine

The raven ladies were cute at least.

I wanna put a baby in Sophie.

She’s a bird, user. She lays eggs.

This shit had some solid gags.

Attached: Cheers.png (1605x903, 2.12M)

i'm sorry but why did they give Speckle the best ass

I honestly don't understand this show at all... There was a couple of funny moments but it feels pretty meh. Like something that gets canceled after one season and no one fucks with it since.

I don't like Bertie... I hate Tuca... I know people like her and they're always the shittiest...and spreckles i just... Honestly barely remember.

HE'S ALMOST CRYING

Attached: 1446588445379.jpg (373x416, 23K)

and the part about the job being easy and stupid was a joke from the creator

>Do people not carry hard copies of their contact numbers anymore
i dont

I wish I could find that one damn song in the first episode. Where they’re remembering the time they spent as roommates

Yea Forums is a different animal
