Is the new Lion King movie an animated film or live action

Bait headline screencaps should be a bannable offense
So I wasn't opening Yea Forums in the last 11 hours. Pic not related anyway.
original lion king:
>all the lions are white-coded and mostly white voice acted
>only ethnic-coded characters are the evil hyenas who have black and hispanic accents and actors
nu lion king:
>all heroes are voiced by 'woke' black actors
>comic relief by leftists like seth rogen and john oliver
I genuinely have never understood what's so fucking great about Beyonce. She's a random-ass black singer. I mean if I have to pick between them I'd rather have Rihanna.
She's a virtuoso compared to Rihanna, and a style icon, which is something you might understand if you left the basement
Mufasa's basically the most perfect flawless character in the movie and he's James Earl Jones. Rafiki is the wise elder and he's voiced by Robert Guillaume, and now by T'challa's dad. Plus, Simba was black when he sang in the old movie.
The truth is you just think "white coded" means "I like it"
Amerimutts are so obsessed with Photorealism crap
>Yea Forums has to turn every argument into political bullshit
>We're not like tumblr guys! We really are not like them!
Live action implies that they actually filmed people or real animals on a camera doing things so no, it's a (shitty) animated film.
Cringe.
I remember when you had to have talent to be so famous. God damn those were the days.
I am prepared to viciously attack and insult everyone who likes this movie on Yea Forums. I am prepared to call every single fan of this movie a "cuck" or a "consumerist whore" or a "pleb." I am prepared to insinuate that Bob Iger should be violently raped in the ass for making this movie, and I am also prepared to declare that Disney is the most evil corporation on the face of the earth.
I'm gearing up, and I'm ready to have some fun.
Literally no difference between Beyoncé, Rihanna, Alicia Keys, Mariah Carey, and Jennifer Lopez's work.
How DARE you cringe at my post? You haven't defeated me I'M NOT ANGRY AAHHHHH
Beyonce will be remembered for her talent and poise long after your pitiful existence is forgotten with the passing of the last person who had the misfortune of knowing you.
To be fair, Comic Relief Villains ARE the best characters usually.
Honestly if I have to pick a /mygirl/ among current black female artists I'm going with Nicki Minaj. Yea Forums hates her, but I still listen to MBDTF all the time and her verses on "Monster" are great and hold up.
OMG SLAYYYY QUEEEN
JLo has a nice ass, Rihanna has some nice pop songs, Alicia Keys is irrelevant and Mariah Carey had that one Christmas song.
>I am prepared to viciously attack and insult everyone who likes this movie on Yea Forums. I am prepared to call every single fan of this movie a "cuck" or a "consumerist whore" or a "pleb."
I mean, you aren't wrong.
>Darth Vader
>black
James Earl Jones has an honorary white voice.

Beyonce has made good songs, she's mostly thought of as a fashion icon, stuff I can't talk about because I am no music nor fashion expert.
However, I hate the trend of asking celebrities to voice characters in order to promote the movie instead of casting people that can actually voice act, only good thing that will ever come out of Beyonce being a lion is like one or two memes.
beyonce is a satanist
the people hiring exclusively radical far left activists aren't the ones making things political? like beyonce (who saluted the terrorist cop-killing black panther party in her super bowl performance), john 'current year' oliver, seth rogen who appears in commericals about the fabricated wage gap, donald glover who advocates reparations, etc.
Like I said. "I like it so it's actually white"
You motherfuckers project kangzing but the truth is you do it harder than anyone else.
>Political topics are irrelevant to the quality and/or staff hiring of a shitty "live action" remake movie
>B-but this people have political views! Political views I don't agree with! So I have to make it about it!
>Neolib celebrities
>John fucking Oliver
>Far left
American politics people!
100% improvement. Whites don't belong in Africa
What does white coded mean
>Darth Vader is a negro!
>Darth Vader isn't black, so that means James Earl Jones isn't either!
what?
Go back
They're very studiously avoiding terming it an animated film (even though it totally is) because they know the instant it gets slapped with that label people will immediately take it less seriously because animation in the West is *still* seen as something for little kiddies.
It's animated but obviously going for the same sort of live action appeal as the other remakes.
thank god. The last thing anything needs is more white conservatism.
Which is Disney's fault.
>african movie
>Earl Jones was black
>Simba's singing was a black kid
>Nathan Lane as Timon was never funny so maybe Seth and John will spice things up a bit
Sounds good too me. Compared to their usual movie lineup? Yes.
>getting mad about race in a movie where you can't even see the actors
She IS good, but her followers have elevated her to cult-like status and it's fucking insane. Her music is generic rap these days. Her shows are pretty standard pop concerts but Homecoming is rated higher than The Godfather on Letterboxd.
It's madness. She hasn't done anything to deserve the godess status apart from being a great singer, a black woman with "empowering"songs, and shaking her ass.
>...-coded
This is why we’re Yea Forumsmblr.
And? What's bad about this?
So it's a marketing thing
yeah we know since back when they announced it
they are doing this series of live action remakes and want to market it in that trend
Mariah Carey has (or had) incredible range and has squandered a once in a generation voice with pretty lackluster artistic choices. If you can't tell the difference between the artists you listed I can safely assume you haven't listened to much of any of their music. Of the 5 Rihanna and Jennifer Lopez are probably the most similar and... they really aren't.
whatever Disney decides they want it to be
Nah, they're avoiding it because admitting it is animated makes it more obviously redundant and unnecessary than it would be if it actually were live action.
What the fuck is up with Nala’s voice? Now it just sounds like a bored Beyoncé.
To call it live action is misleading! It is a 3D Animation film.
>reparations
Fuck I’ll give him 50 cents if that’ll shut him up. That’s all he’s going to be able to get since most families of former slave owners are poorer than he is
Friendly reminder,
Freed blacks made up a majority of Slave owners. So if anything blacks should pay more reparations than whites.
>Freed blacks made up a majority of Slave owners
How does this even work?
This is the funniest thing I’ve ever read, I hope it isn’t a troll
Janet Jackson in her prime was everything Beyonce worshippers pretend Beyonce is.
Thank god somebody said it.
Bull fucking shit, stop taking getting your history lessons from /pol/.
Coded is the politically correct term for stereotype.
The census of 1830 lists 3,775 free Negroes who owned a total of 12,760 slaves.
Go fuck yourself Yea Forumsmblrite
So is English your second language, or your third? Let me remind you what you originally said
>Freed blacks made up a majority of Slave owners. So if anything blacks should pay more reparations than whites.
And here's what you said just now.
>The census of 1830 lists 3,775 free Negroes who owned a total of 12,760 slaves.
Now here's the rest of that Wikipedia sentence you omitted for some reason.
>In 1830 there were 3,775 such black slaveholders in the South who owned a total of 12,760 slaves, a small percent, out of a total of over 2 million slaves.
Yes, there was a minority of black slaveholders, this is not groundbreaking to anybody. No, they never came remotely close to constituting a majority. This is so obviously stupid even on its face, and is easily verifiable.
