Too early to tell. The pilot has great camerawork and fine actors.

First episode has some good acting and great use of special effects that demonstrate the showrunners understand how to use CGI in moderation, but it's too early to give a good impression. I'm definitely interested to see where it goes.

mega where?

On a side note; who do you cast as Arcane? Patrick Stewart would be a nice bit of stunt casting but part of me kind of wants John Glover, especially since the TV show Arcane was played by a super low rent John Glover impersonator.

It's not bad but it's not great.

It's unfortunate that one episode wasn't enough to hook anyone, but it seems like it could be a solid show. Average is good enough for most, I figure. It worked for Constantine, after all.

I enjoyed it a lot and am looking forward to more.

Get out

It's hard to have a reasonable consensus on just one episode

>It worked for Constantine, after all.

Is that why Constantine got cancelled?

it's relying on too many normal, and frankly old and tired, horror tropes. It's good for a basic horror show, but frankly after being spoiled by stuff like Doom Patrol, Legion, Happy and Good Omens, I need something more than something that just does "The Job"

Basic first episode. Unless it has something truly new to offer, there's better horror out there. The practical suit is great & the setting is different but being connected to trash like Titans or disappointments like Doom Patrol isn't helping it.

well it doesn't have the "Wild Thing" rip-off theme song so already we're doing better

Shit like everything DC makes

It's pretty damn good. Alec was great and gone too soon. The Thing inspired scene was fun. I really thought the horror was fine and worked with what they were working with well. The look and feel of the bayou is nice on the eyes. They still have a lot of stuff to introduce, namely Blue Devil and Woodrue/Floronic Man.

mediocre. would have been better if it was man-thing
not trying to start a dc vs marvel debate, but i think man-thing is the superior monster

>or disappointments like Doom Patrol isn't helping it.
This is how I know your opinion is shit

Sitting around talking or feeling sorry for yourself for 13 episodes is not entertainment.

Then go watch his shitty movie and read his comics from ages ago

There's like almost no connection between any of the shows

Yeah, man thing has all those amazing stories such as... such as...

>inb4 Gerber shit stories

i don't like horror shows, i only care about cute abby

They need to lean into the body horror or whatever gives them an excuse to put that practical effects team to work

Also whoever wrote the pilot needs to be smartened up that their dialogue is not clever

Titans > Tranny patrol > SJW Thing

It was okay. Their reaction to the vine attack in the morgue was a bit odd - neither of them wanted to talk about that never-seen-before event again? But hey, the plot has to go on.

>their dialogue is not clever
it was ok, just like my favorite cw shows

So are we going to have warring now over everyone's favorite precious streaming show like we did over CW show. Goodness show loyalty is tiresome.

Okay for a network show that you can watch ota for free and okay for a premium channel show that you have to pay for are not the same thing

That scene with Abby and the mother in the bar was dreadful

>you have to pay for
hahahahahahaha

>are we going to have warring now over everyone's favorite precious streaming show like we did over CW show
sure, that sounds fun

this

there's a reason they completely ripped off his movie for this shitty show

Try actually watching the show

>DC should have made a Man-Thing show!

Yes, yes

If you don't want to think as if you count then don't hold the conversation as if you do

>reading spoilers is hard

It goes beyond that. Soon it will be WB versus Disney, then AT&T versus Disney, then everyone else versus Disney

It's great.

I love that DC is taking some new spin over capeshit tv w/ Doom Patrol and now this. I like it when comics are just normal tv shows that are sprinkled w/ "weird" or "comics" unlike those cheesy stuff that CW and Marvel TV likes to do.

You know what would make this DC show better is if they made it about a character they don't own and is owned by their rivals. But hey, no company wars, fellas.

>Soon it will be WB versus Disney
What do you mean "soon"

That's the spirit double down on being a fucking retard

You too. Enjoy all those great runs and shows and movies that probably won't happen too.

I weep at what this board will become once that Disney service hits. It may have some good shows on it, some I may even watch, but this board will just look like a shillstation for awhile.
