Kit 'n' Kay Boodle.

I suppose that counts...

Well, that's kind of hard when just about everything made in history everything could be called:
>something just for kids
>needlessly edgy
>trying too hard to be deep
>just some teenager's idea of what's funny

When I say "mature"
What I meant is something that isn't necessarily porn, I meant like so mature that it would not be for the faint hearted.

Maus

Oh, sorry We3 let see you deal with that

It looks boring...

Joe Sacco's Bosnia and Palestine graphic novels.

Crossed. But Crossed is absolute shit outside of one story

which story would that be?

>Crossed +100
>Wish You Were Here
>Smokey's Wild Ride
>Psychopath
There's some kernels of gold in all that shit.

Wish You Were Here always gets good reviews despite opening with dolphin fucking.

I see...

Anything else?

I don't want a comic book so I can see mature content only, it has to be good.
Not mature for the fuck of it.

Neil Gaiman's Sandman.

Berserk is the most mature thing that is closest to a comic.

NO

>Psychopath
>gold
it's literally the edgiest crossed comic there is

anything with action, dark fantasy, romance, great monster design, can carry a story and is not bland?

Unironically

Berserk is not a comic book.
It is called a manga.

It's one of the most juvenile seinen manga.

the comic is a product
so the consumer at base level must be entertained
the writer and artist must strive for synthesis of artistic integrity and consumer demand.
as such "the mature" form of comicbook hobby is either furthering distribution of comics and helping selling them through youtube fanboy videos or selling them or giving them away.
second is taking your expierence in consuming comics and add to the medium yourself in some way.

if you are looking for a certain mature comic, then you will never find it because as a product comics must entertain and maturity is about taking on the burden of reality.

That parody comic of Mickey, Donald, and Goofy having a guy's night out.

Okay....

I'm aware, but it was pretty much exactly what he was asking for.

persepolis

I'm still not feeling it quite...

>jews depicted as literal vermin
uh anti-semitic much

moomins

So edgy stuff then? Check out Ennis' and Millar's works

edge is for teens tho

Potentially, its actually a very interesting discussion to have. People mainly refer to it being anti-Polish.

Have sex

>Name a comic book that actually is "mature"
>comic book

Fantasy is not mature by default.

Rusty Brown has made a few people ill.

Preacher
Watchmen
V for Vendetta
Sandman
Transmetropolitan
Eternals
X-Men Legacy (the Legion one)

That's edgy/grimdark/violent, not actually mature.

Also if Manga are eligible

Monster

>the comic is a product
mammonite detected. go back to /biz/
