How are you enjoying Snyder's Justice League run?
How are you enjoying Snyder's Justice League run?
He's trying too hard to be Morrison, and all I wanted was regular Legion of Doom shenanigans instead of this POWER OF CREATION ITSELF DOORKNOB nonsense
I miss Priest
incoherent fingerblasting while staring at a morrison fan poster
fun concepts, retarded execution
I want to like it and it's been decent but I feel like Snyder is trying too hard to be epic. You can't force a story to be epic, that has to come normally.
If he toned that down, the series would go from decent to good.
It’s an okay run, not really liking what he’s done with Sinestro and Lex though.
I actually liked his run. But losers in the comic community were bitching the whole time because Priest had the nerve to not have Batman be a god or to examine just a bit how an organization like the League would work when dealing with real life issues. Now we've got Gorilla Grodd carrying around a baby with the "Still Force" and the Joker clowning the entire Legion of Doom on his own. Great.
I am enjoying it when it stays focused. I liked the first arc and this current one but I couldn't give two fucks about that drowned sea shit or the legionnaire's club nonsense.
I'm not.
I mostly blame Tynion for that. Snyder trusts him for some reason but if you check closely you'll see the most dragged down issues are the ones Tynion writes.
>How are you enjoying Snyder's Justice League run?
I've been ignoring it except for the issues by Jimenez.
Stupid sexy Jimenez!
>Snyder trusts him for some reason
Isn't he one of Snyder's former college students, like Bennett?
I bought some of them for one character and haven't kept up with it.
Cheung is not that good but Jimenez is the one who shines most in this book
>Jimenez is the one who shines most in this book
He was pretty much the only reason I read Earth 2, as well.
>Earth 2*
Earth 2 Society, I meant.
your premise is flawed in that it presumes enjoyment.
the most recent arc fucking rules but the rest of the book before it has honestly sucked. We'll see from here if Snyder has hit his stride
So, you think this is all leading to another Crisis?
Wouldn't surprise me, it's about that time again where DC Relaunches there books again.
But this time with Bendis, and Snyder with some King thrown in to spear head it
Thus ensuring a more shittier relaunch then the New 52
>not really liking what he’s done with Sinestro and Lex though.
i still have no idea what sinestro is even doing hanging out with lex.
didn't bunn's sinestro comic end with him and his daughter hanging out with the rest of the yellow lanterns
>you think this is all leading to another Crisis?
More like Forever Evil 2.0, senpai.
>it's about that time again where DC Relaunches there books again
Think that there will be any actual pay-off when Doomsday Clock ( eventually, theoretically ) finishes?
Nah, I doubt it. It will just lead to some big multiversal battle like Metal, but it won't be called Crisis since there will be no reboot. They wanted to call Metal "Dark Crisis" but couldn't get that approved.
I really want the Crime Syndicate back, but with the same personalities Johns gave em. Maybe stronger motivations. I just want more twink bitch Power Ring
>They wanted to call Metal "Dark Crisis" but couldn't get that approved.
And yet we got "Heroes in Crisis" just after ...
>I just want more twink bitch Power Ring
Given the connection with Jessica Cruz and her current popularity I wouldn't be surprised if they had some sort of a confrontation at some point. She's pretty literally "the one that got away."
