I have no problem with the show deciding it wanted to have Steven solve problems without violence, but the general removal of decent action and Steven never actually growing up is annoying. The whole hugging himself thing was terrible.

Did Steven imply forgiveness on Kevin, in the same manner that he implied forgiveness on White Diamond or did he not openly forgive White Diamond; in the same way that he didn't openly forgive Kevin either?

Forgiving Kevin isn't an issue since he's not seen as a threat. Not sure what your point is here and you're the one who has to prove these in the first place.

Me. Fights became less frequent in 1B and were generally better animated. That combined with the surge of popularity can correlate to future polish or sustained quality. It's weird to see a show that's doing well get consistently worse at action as it progresses.

Less budget and boarders who lack experience in boarding/animating fight scenes. Even typical fights in SU pre-S3 were more like clashes than anything, the most complex it ever got was Jasper vs Garnet and that was more like a music video than anything.

To me it felt like better action would be a necessity going forward. Not combat, just characters moving fluidly in tense situations and avoiding danger. I didn't think it would drag its heels the way it did.

I feel like Season 5 had a bit more energy in its episodes with a couple of exception. The writing wasn't as polished as, say, S2, but the actual tone and vibe was more early SU than S3/S4. Now those two definitely felt lethargic at times for sure.
