But it doesn't. Everything is Aweseom is way more of an ear worm.

I can agree with that, but I am literally watching the movie right now for the first time, and i was passing that part of the movie.

this movie is... forgotten :(

Yeah, Lego Movie 2 was better than Toy Story 3, even if I could kinda tell everything that was going on from near the beginning of the movie.

Did he really achieve time travel, or whats the boy just bright enough to write a time travel narrative? It kinda seems like with actual foresight, he could have just gotten along with his sister without having to go through it.

>he could have just gotten along with his sister
He also could've just told his dad to fuck off in the first movie or told his mom he would kill himself if she took his LEGOs. But, that doesn't make for a very interesting story does it? It's about the journey not the destination.

LEGO Movie 2 is a lot like Deadpool 2 in that the jokes are just as good as the first if not better, but the plot and themes let the movie down really bad.

Don't bother trying to connect the LEGO plot and the IRL plot 1:1, the narrative falls apart if you try.

The only legos I had were bonkle and throwbots because I always were mor einto action figures
I saddens me there is no buildable figure of Mayhem or the rest of the cast

The dad's actions in the first movie are represented by the micromangers. As a higher realm, the Real World influences the Lego World, but it's not a 1:1 relationship. Also, people from the Lego World have some degree of free will and action.

There's always these

I still think the LEGOs clearly, visibly moving and making noise in real life was the moment it jumped the shark.

We need more porn of her

I still listen to Super Cool on a regular basis, genuinely good song, plus the end credit visuals are great.

It was actually better than people like to say here. The quirky humor was a slightly different flavor compared to the first one but it was acceptable even with the downgrade in rendering quality.
Basically.
They kinda had to let the coolest parts of the first movie go. It even feels like they make jokes about it multiple times in the 2nd one.
>You heard your Dad's super important contribution.
He's absent, like the first plot. It was still okay. The message was ok. I just wish it was set up better with a cooler less obvious reveal. I feel nitpicky but it coulda gone all over the place.

Yeah that's cute but I want a real buildable figure like my bonkles
We need more everything with her

She's basically supposed to be like the sisters modern/combined version of Benny/Lucy right?

>She trades helmets with Benny.

She's a thing of her own
She spends most of the movie trying to be an cold warlady but that falls off and that's what I love about her.

As someone who loves TLM2, no. It was not only a tad too short but the pacing felt rushed and perhaps the plot itself could have used some refinement, in key areas to give all the new characters more time to have... characterization, with some returning characters either misused (Benny, Unikitty) or probably should have been omitted from the main story altogether (Brickbeard).

Lewding minifigs is wrong. Lewding Minidolls is fair game.

Total Mayhem was cute but damn the movie was such a letdown.

Says who?

Purists who find such things as heresy (permanently modifying LEGO), mixing brands, and things that display LEGO off-model like making minifigs CURVY rant-inducing.

Good thing this is just a drawing, then!

I laughed my ass off after realizing she wasn't actually evil. Lego Movie 1&2 feel like the spiritual successor to Shrek in terms of subverting all of the movie tropes of their time.

Lord and Miller's touch.

You can definitely hot glue her, that's a real option.

>thigh socks
oh my god fuck

Forget hepatitis lady, show more art of Sweet Mayhem!

Ironically the worst, least catchy song in the whole film.
I do wonder though, since there are so many songs in the film, if there was a point where they intended it to be closer to a full on musical.

The first movie wisely doesn't encourage you to think about how the 'real' world and the lego world influence each other. The second one makes the mistake of constantly drawing attention to their interaction, which creates a lot of great jokes but undermines the story's logic.

The real star of the show was the credits machine.

The LEGO-reality narrative is less cohesive than in the first movie but he clearly states near the start that he's working on "an adventure with time travel" so I think what we see is the kid's adventure retooled to fit with his sister's fantasy.

Also TLM2 handled time travel better than Endgame.

>real buildable figure
I don't want to be that guy but... It's LEGO, you could build your own.

Is that Sunset Shimmer?
