I wonder how many replies you're going to get.

Nice, but the boots look kinda whack. Like something that would only look cool in the early 2000s

That time Alan Moore drew Godzilla.

Art from writers who don't usually if ever draw

Well..this is from like 2003/2004

Stan Lee drawing Popeye & Wimpy from an interview with Bob Kane.

Who was interviewing who?

Stan interviewing Kane on the direct-to-video show Comic Book Greats. I haven't seen it in years, but here's part 1 on YouTube:

>two hacks in one video
that's too much

Morrison's not that bad at art

They are actually pretty good.
Imagine a writer being a better artist than most dumbasses in the industry today

On his Kevin Smith interview, Morrison describes how he sketches out his omics beforehand and then adapts those to script, and then sends it to the artist. Never occurred to him that anyone would want to see his art.

Fucking Rennaisance man. I'm envious.

Miller is at least as well known for his art as he is for his writing, silly.

That's pretty clearly Tom Grummet

Johns was the one who actually designed Piper's 00s outfit with the green glasses and scraggly looking cloak, but they never actually shared Johns' artwork of it.

>SK: I don’t know if everybody knows this or not – but Geoff was the one who came up with his current costume. Which also completely changes, for me, how to feel about and deal with Piper. You know, how clothes make the man? This new outfit is cool!

>GJ: Yeah, I like it. I remember I drew it and faxed it to Scott, I think.

>SK: I still have the fax!

>GJ: You should share it.

>SK: I will…

Not really

Makes sense that it would be similar, though, considering Grummett was the Superboy artist when Johns was just a fanboy. No doubt he took to aping his artstyle.

Getting Frank Miller vibes here.

He was an artist before he began to write, I think.

Really?

According to Wikipedia, he began to write in 2014 but he had been drawing since the late 90s.

Ken fucking Penders takes the cake

Really. That's his face to a T.

I really wish grant would keep developing his art it seems like it's a lot better than he give it credit for

It would be cool to see him use his art, and it's limitations, in a narrative

My biggest fear about becoming comic writer is the fact that seemingly all of them can draw, while I cannot to save my life

A lot of born and bred comic writers from the past just liked making comics. Learning to write was an important skill to pick up in addition to drawing.

Writers coming from TV or movies don't really need that skill.
Basically, if you can make it as a screenwriter first, I'm sure that going into comics, taking a pay cut and writing books that critics love but nobody reads will be a walk in the park for you.

Not really. It's clearly signed by Johns too.

did he actually got worse? than worse he got? fuck

Is there a single person in comic industry who isn't hack?

Color me impressed.
