My mom is legit obsessed with Epic.
I liked it, my biggest issue is that it would have been ten times better if the flower girl at the end had replaced the slugs - get rid of the annoying characters and make the end reveal not come out of nowhere, all in one.
i never bothered to watch Home or Turbo from Dreamworks.
Saw it. Loved it.
Discount Hotel Transylvania/The Munsters.
Worldwide Box Office: $24,344,834

>AWSOME
NO IT WASN'T
Those big shiny eyes are terrifying, and the way they're smiling makes me think of pic related.
>Jaw-droppingly beautiful
If you're legally blind, maybe. I can understand doing something for the art, but why can't Laika do something that's aesthetically pleasing but also well-written?
Coraline and Kubo weren't enough for you?
>Coraline (2009)
>Kubo and the Two Strings (2016)
I know Laika is financed by daddy Nike's money, but you'd think they could pump out good movie after good movie, instead of having two good ones with the rest being crap in their filmography.
they to hire fired pixar writers, duh
>why can't Laika do something that's aesthetically pleasing but also well-written?
Probably the John K. mentality that only animators should work on animation and writers with no artistic skills should fuck off.
That's probably the answer. It only works if the artist is an amazing visual storyteller and story-writer in general, like Frank Miller.
I enjoyed it
I really like Duckman but this looks awful, might give it a try tho
It was originally going to be a show for Spike TV but got canceled during production, so they turned what they had into a movie.
I thought the trailer/cover was neat enough to buy this movie on physical release.
I watched it. It was fine. Liked it better than spiderwick chronicles.
>Disrespecting my waifu like that
user, why bully?
I watched it. It was okay in my book
I watched Kubo and enjoyed it, even if it had a weak ending.
But this one... I was aware of Laika, and I didn't even know this existed until right now.
It's been so long, what was inside the hammer?
>like Frank Miller.
>rocket power background characters get their own movie
Seen it. It wasn't good at all, don't bother watching it.
Yes, yes, Frank Miller bad, etc. etc. The man could tell a good story and tell it with interesting visuals on top. Even when others were drawing for him, the stories were damn good.
Post 90s he went to shit and now I'm waiting to see the kind of job he'll do on Superman Year One before assuming he's gotten back on track.
For 2 bucks is an easy movie for a pizza night
AH ZIZIBAH
Embarrassing post. Everything he did before 2000 was incredible
>The mum turns into a Vampire
>The daughter turns into a Mummy
Whats the fucking point?
actually downloaded this and watched it a few nights ago not super horrible i seen worse but my god does it feel like a robot chicken sketch just stretch out to a annoying length mila kunis demon chick was nice tho
I gave this one a shot. Don't think I made it more than 6 minutes.
Nobody. NOBODY Remembers Veritas except me.
I loved Coraline but Kubo didn't do it for me.
I remember not watching this because the kid had no shirt and i though that was gay.
How was it?
The red head in that movies was damn cute.
Because it doesn't exist
Princess Dawn is such a cutie
I saw this purely for Christoph Waltz
>this almost came out
Cinema Snob reviewed it at least.
No idea if can still find it on YouTube.
She should've put the guy in her pocket and taken him home with her at the end of the movie.
Same
Pretty cool all things considered, but it was clearly made for people already familiar with the story because it's explains NOTHING.
It looks like the black one is fucking the white one.
I watched this movie. But it wasn't epic at all
This movie is likely the reason Disney’s King of the Elves was kill
Most of this shit actually didn't get a theater release in my country
Why?
You’re not missing much. Turbo was such a let down... I really had wanted to like it and thought that maybe it would be a hidden gem. Turned out it was just a bland, unforgettable movie.
Obviously , I meant forgettable,dammit
It was more like ‘Annoying’ than ‘Epic’
I took my sisters on a day out and this was the movie they choose when we looked at what was playing that day.
This movie smells like Monarchy propaganda.
The villain of this movie has multiple tits
WHO POOPED IN THE PEANUT BARRELL
This was supposed to be a sequel to a beloved Hungarian animation
I say supposed to because everyone hated it
Forgot pic
Not really, it was your typical mediocre "villain tricks rich hero to take their riches, but they come back and stop them with their new street smart poor friends" story, with the queen being more of a plot device than a character. Though the whole reason the MC runs off is because the queen is disappointed in him for biting Trump in the dick
saw it, it's shit.
This was surprisingly nice visually
I was one of the suckers that saw it opening weekend
Me and My friend make a habit of watching really obscure animated movies. It's a lot of fun just for the sake of bashing true shit or discovering something truly underrated. We saw pic related.... It was, interesting....
I only know about this becaus my little sister used to love it when she was 4.
This one's pretty obvious since it'll never come out.
I know people are REALLY hung up on this getting canned, and I completely understand. Getting another original fairy tale musical from WDAS along with wonderful looking art sounds insanely appealing, and by all accounts it looks like it should have been another definite great princess film like Tangled, Frozen, or Moana. But I get the feeling that there was a lot of shit going on behind the scenes to warrant just not releasing it at all. I'm positive its cancellation was either because it was really fucking bad, it was insanely hard for it to work as a film, or both. There has to be a reason Disney thought releasing fucking Wreck It Ralph 2 over this film was worth it when this had such a promising outlook. If they thought THAT was an acceptable project to put to screen over this, there had to be a reason this wasn't worth releasing.
>inb4 muh porn
As if Disney hasn't been directly responsible for the fetishes of millions all over the world. You think they'd give a shit here?
I remember the Fun Fest one
Some user mentioned this one a few days back. Watched it on Netflix last night and was pretty impressed.
I worked on this
The Chinese animators they got did a decent job with the backgrounds, but the story is way too convoluted for an advertising vehicle for model trains.
I had no idea this movie existed until I came across it on some random torrent tracker
How was working on this?
Anything else you've done? (It's fine if you don't wanna answer this one)
I think your mom is autistic, user
I... I think I liked this....? I don't remember, was it a movie or a series?
This is an insanely blatant Star Wars ripoff.
Wait, what? Is this from Disney? What is this?
This one works pretty well because the source material is strong.
The TV show's actually decent.
I remember being very excited when I first saw the trailer... for some reason. It was ok-ish at best, it even has a sequel if I remember but I never saw it.
Here's the first of two Babe Ruth-themed films. This is probably the better one but only because it's sadder, being set in a pediatric oncology ward and all.
I only saw this because one Christmas I decided to go marathon every version of Babes in Toyland I could find.
Here's the second Babe Ruth film. It's less sappy, but it's probably impossible to be more sappy.
Why?
Igor's decent and was at least written by Americans..
I only know this one because it was basically the last thing Christopher Reeve did and was apparently some kind of passion project for him.
I've never seen it because it looks terrible.
I saw that after having to read the book.
The girl was super autistic, and the advice, while nice sounding, was pretty stupid if you thought about it. Surprised Liam Neeson agreed to do it.
Oh snap, I remember this! I'll have to try to find it, but the concept of a Hell on the surface was kind of interesting.
>The robot dude pronounced it Ee-voluion instead of Eh-volution
Still struck me as weird when I was 10 or so
This one's Italian so it has a little incongruous sexism on top of the typical weirdness that comes with dubbing.
Are you part of the studio?
Do you speak dutch?
>Forrest Whitaker
>Whoopi Goldberg
>Mandy Patinkin
>William Macy
>Robin Williams
What dirt did Christopher Reeve have on all these people?
Lol i saw that one
None, dude was really well-liked. They pretty much did it only because Reeve was directing.
This is weirdly high-quality. I haven't seen Sherlock Gnomes yet, though.
It's technically an adaptation of the Mahabharata, an indian epic.
I need to watch this again. Communist-era Hungary did some of the most underrated animated films of all time.
I worked on all of that studio feature productions(nWave) except their
first. It’s ok i guess. No rush but no fat pay either. The worst is that the scripts are produced ‘as is’. No leeway for better changes
Inderdaad
>Brando's finale role
>still unreleased
I want to see what final insanity that madman left for us
what's even the point of having a gay elf if he's not going to be cute and/or get manhandled.
When do they fight Surf-Shack Tito?
This is a Christian film only released as a one-day special event.
I remember this, barely though. I remember the princess(?) being cute but kind of a bitch.
>WHOA HEY IT'S LIONEL'S FIRST MOVIE
Wait are we supposed to know who this guy is?
And you've been posting about it ever since.
Plenty of us have seen it. There actually used to be a 24/7 stream of it specifically so people could jump in and riff it whenever they wanted (Food Fight had one too)
Holy shit, I think I remember this?
This is the American Ron Paul fan equivalent of that Japanese cult's anime movie.
Lionel is a model train company, they were extremely popular at one point. All those movies with Christmas scenes of people playing with model trains were probably Lionels.
Mushroom Jesus, from the creator of Five Nights at Freddy's.
This one reaches levels of woke that shouldn't be possible.
There's a lot more rape in that movie than expected
Disney's been making hit movies that's only shown in India.
Boring but available on basically every streaming service.
This stars Daniel Craig and is really European.
I remember seeing a trailer for this with either WALL-E or Star Wars: The Clone Wars and then heard nothing else about it, even the fact that it had come out.
I watched it
There's some nice designs and the weird stone age vs. the bronze age setting is fun but ultimately it's hard to sell a movie about football to the US
I almost posted this, but I'm not sure how big of a hit it was Down Under
This is one of George Lucas' weirder efforts but I really like it.
What a shame they decided to go with shitty pop music because it's a neat movie overall (and who knew Alan Cumming could rock out so well?)
>not liking pop music
shitty is the key word here, user. The selection went from "meh" to "awful".
Golden Bat vs Black Star
Is that fucking Mazinger Z?
>that mouse girl
This one's really edgy.
Haven't seen this one but it looks like they put effort into it.
>comando agua para todos
What does that mean?
It was okay. Would have been a lot better without the Snails. Hell, even if they just didn't get Aziz ansari, it would have worked better.
Tried watching this on Netflix. Impossible to finish, caused me actual physical pain.
>fucking bombed
just take the hint and make Coraline 2: into the Leyline since its the only good movie you made
still better than Hellboy
>Kelsey Grammer and Dan Aykroyd
Was it any good?
CHINGA TU PUTA MADRE
Epic would have been great if the slugs were cute. Or if it was about the bodyguard and Queen Beyonce. I genuinely was into their hinted “childhood friends turned romantic but they can’t completely be together because of royal duty”.
>No mention of Duckman
So he's still not that bad
Me too, but it was in the DVD collection of my niece, I'd never heard of it before
Duckman Reboot leaked footage
I know I've sat down and watched all of this but I can't remember the first thing about it
Not the user that posted it, but I loved that Foodfight stream. Never saw Delgo though.
Go back to the drawthread you Ronanfag
Please tell me that isn't Zeus.
How horrifying.
Well, it’s CGI from the 80s. What did you expect?
I dunno, she really likes it and watches it intermittently between hallmark movies. I asked her about it and she basically gave me a verbal essay about the movie’s lore.
Honestly I’m just glad she’s passionate about something.
I don't even remember the name of this. I just have this pic because I was talking with a friend about how ugly the characters looked years ago, and forgot to delete it.
Alright, I looked it up in google. It's "Arthur and the Invisibles".
How popular was Batman and DC Comics in Japan at that time?
Oh wait this is a South Korean film.
It's from Korea, user. Learn to distinguish the Asian writing systems.
This movie has a dark ride in Germany.
>From the animators of "The Simpsons"
That show's been on for over 20 years, there's probably been so many Simpsons animators come and go almost any animated feature can claim that
What a fucking mess of a tagline.
Chick on the right is hot at least
>David Duchovny as tiny jesus
This is the funniest combination of words I think I’ve ever read. Fuck you user.
I am always amazed at the casts some of these movies pull in, like that shitty Scottish one that was technically Sean Connery's last movie.
>He did that, but refused the role of fucking Gandalf
I can only imagine he has never seen the film or what it even looks like and only recorded his lines to collect an easy paycheck that doesn't require him to move.
>all those streams that Yea Forums and Yea Forums would have were they’d show terrible movies
Those were the days
Someone should revive that shit.
Seems like it'd harder to do.
I saw a lot of anons in a thread a while back trying multiple times to stream kung pow but it'd sniped early on every time.
youtube.com
>Ron first let me tell you how much I loved the film, the staging great, the not taking it self seriously but not trying to be cool by letting me know you know is perfect filmmaking. You avoided all the clichés and put together a fun film. The hero was ugly and strange, that made it great, same with the girl. The setting was also perfect, the pacing, cutting great. —— Hollywood has trouble with this kind of movie. They think Pixar only. ——If it would be helpful I will write a quote to be used by your distributor anywhere. ...I want to show it around. ...Congrats, Heavy Traffic was also honest. You have just joined the club. — What would it take to do another one?
-Ralph Bakshi
A short film, but it stands.
What was up with all the bigfoot/yeti cartoons this year?
In Williams case they were best friends.
In his autobiography Reeve had this to say about his experience in the hospital after his accident
>As the day of the operation drew closer, it became more and more painful and frightening to contemplate,In spite of efforts to protect me from the truth, I already knew that I had only a fifty-fifty chance of surviving the surgery. I lay on my back, frozen, unable to avoid thinking the darkest thoughts. Then, at an especially bleak moment, the door flew open and in hurried a squat fellow with a blue scrub hat and a yellow surgical gown and glasses, speaking in a Russian accent. He announced that he was my proctologist, and that he had to examine me immediately. My first reaction was that either I was on way too many drugs or I was in fact brain damaged. But it was Robin Williams. He and his wife, Marsha, had materialized from who knows where. And for the first time since the accident, I laughed. My old friend had helped me know that somehow I was going to be okay.
>so many stories of Williams saving friends from depression
>no one could save him from it
Fuck I just realized the Pagliacci joke is basically his life story
Wax girl is 100% waifu material and I wish there was thousands of fan art.
I still love this fucking thing.
I watched this one and the sequels(?). At least I think they were supposed to be sequels because they didn’t seem to connect very much
Bump
Based
I was absolutely into the girl as a kid
These are actually kino tho
youtu.be
ParaNorman was great
It’s like that time when they made a bunch of penguin animated movies.
everyone's seen this they just didn't care about it
The 4K restoration of this was just released a couple weeks ago on some festival or some shit. Wonder when they're gonna make it available for normal people.
Daddy Dracula was the saving grace.
Probably in like a $50 edition or something.
this movie gave me my robot ass fetish
The only thing I remember about it was one of the evil monkeys murdering the grandpa monkey by smashing his head with a fucking rock
...I think.
Only watched it because it was on my plane ride.
Ovo izgleda jebeno stari
Is this the one where the cat literally seduces a human
>you will never have a gf 100 times your height
>clearly in America
>everyone had a British accent
I know it was a pile of shit that Sky paid a bunch of actors to spend 90 minutes in a studio for but still.
The mother in human form was hot .
>oh fuck I watched this in theatre with my folks
>she'll never eat you
FUCK
>ginger russian
wat
youtube.com
This film is literally insane
Young princesses don't sell.
An older princess would have made the fetish side of things impossible to avoid (although possibly they could have made jack younger).
Also, it seemed to have a male lead who wasn't one of the following
>under 16
>a thief or con artist
>anti-social douche
>just a plain psycho
Only princesses get to be flawless (or have the acceptable flaws of being scared or naive).
I think if it had come out after Mamma Mia and gone even further with the cheesy pop soundtrack it could have done much better.
It's terrible but it's also kinda fun.
Those movies were garbage. Mexico loves it a lot though.
I command water to all.
Movie's plot is about a character who lives multiple lives throughout history, from colonial brazil until future Rio were nations are gearing up to war for water, it's pretty neat all things considered.
What the fuck is going on in any of this
youtube.com
Those aren't even the weirdest parts of the movie
This is giving me distinctly Ruberian vibes
No we don't. They're shitty movies based on a shitty meme that overstayed its welcome.
Fuck those annoying snails.
Now you know Ive seen it.
Loved these.
Fuck this one
First one was great, 2nd and 3rd can be avoided.
This looks kinda cool actually.
>2013
An actual studio did this?
Paranorman is kino I like it more than Coraline.
I've seen it. Incredibly boring.
>Two Lesbians. One Saxophone.
What, is this some two girls one cup type thing?
Turned this utter waste of electrons off barely 10 minutes in.
The animation is horrible enough you might think it is.
>Voice of Thomas Francis Walsh, III
>A Tom Walsh film
This looks really cool.
I always saw the Netflix thumbnail but had no idea it looked this fun.
Very good movie. I watched it and loved it. I expected a caveman does pre-historic things movie, but it is truly a soccer movie.
I enjoyed it. I recommend it for some silliness.
Waltz with Bashir is fairly well known.
Dub dubs.
I saw this. It was clearly somebody's baby that ran out of time/funding
Only saving grace was the mom was hot.
I liked it
youtube.com
Yikes. I forgot this furbait movie exists.
They used to put this on the local tv all the time, when i was a kid.
It's a shame this didn't come out, I'm sure it'd be mediocre but still interesting from a historical viewpoint
Did anyone else see this, it wasnt the worst thing but god did it suck
What the fuck is that
Based "who pooped in the peanut barrel" poster
This looks like a b-grade PS2 platformer
bless that one user who uploaded this and told us about it
>muh sexism
So how long until his dad's Nikebux dries up and he can't make any more movies? Surely he can't afford making too many flops.
I saw this in theaters. Neat premise, but obviously trying to cash in on the Hoodwinked/Shrek scene.
I remember it looking better.
youtube.com
Not exactly an unknown movie but not a very famous one either
A cult classic. Unfortunately the sequel is not as good as the inferior but still it's watchable.
anone srbine
How the fuck did they get Damon Albarn and Bjork
It was commissioned by a string quartet that works with popular musicians and the writer is friends with Bjork. Thanks Wikipedia!
>his dad's Nikebux dries up
that would imply people rejected the concept of wearing shoes
You all remember The animated Sinbad movie and it's all-star cast, right Yea Forums?
I liked it as a kid
cant seem to find any info about this film, how did you find this?
I saw this in theaters. Me and my other HS weeb friends were planning on seeing the new Ghibli movie that was coming out, but the kid organizing it fucked everything up and arranged us to see Epic instead. All I remember is that the kid arranging it went to the wrong theater, and the queen character was black.
>Work at movie theater
>One day, only one person comes in
>Balding
>Long, scraggly beard
>Covered in tattoos
>Missing a leg
>He's seeing the musical about fairy princesses
>Likes it
Oh shit i watched this on a vhs with a copy of that movie with girl having teeth in her vagoo, weird but fun
this movie is the Bolivar el heroe equivalent of Berserk
youtube.com
youtube.com
I keep forgetting some people here still care about "furries". Your pretty much the only ones who do anymore.
>Your pretty much the only ones who do anymore.
Do any of the movies in this thread actually exist?
Seen it
not only do I own the bluray, I'm pretty sure I was the first person to upload the musical scenes to Youtube
>AWARD WINNER
>doesn't actually state what award
Sounds legit
I hate all their dopey open mouths
It could of just been a moment of stupidity like when Nickelodeon denied adventure time.
But yeah I'll probably never not be salty that Gigantic isn't coming out.
Does he fuck the bat?
>equivalent of that Japanese cult's anime movie
This one?
I saw this one in the theater. It was not a good decision.
So like a prequel to James and the Giant Peach?
A CHALLENGER APPEARS
The Codex Astartes does not support this action.
I remember watching it a few times when I had cable cause it was available for instant streaming via ifc i think. Couldn't tell you a single scene from it now though.
I watched this at a party with five other people so at least six people have seen it. I remember liking it but was also drunk and stoned so idk. After that we all watched Freaknik
Does reading the comic count?
Looks worth a watch
