I'm looking to broaden my horizons and read more comics with female MCs, what should I be looking for?

League of extraordinary Gentlemen
The irony isn't lost on me.
why i hate saturn
Is Darwyn Cooke the only liberal baby boomer that acknowledge long before the Vietnam war or communist reaching Vietnam the Vietcong committed Routine massacre and enslavement of villagers? That’s why the Soviet Union shy away from supporting North Vietnam beyond politically compared to China.
Witchblade and Tomb Raider
After the Vietnam war. There reason why one of the first things the NVA and communist government did was kill of known Vietcong.
>inb4 that butthurt SM/WW conspiracy obsessed autist has a meltdown over this comic.
What a boring taste.
fine...I still stand by my girl Sara. Just read Sunstone if then
This
I only read the first trade so I'm literally years behind on it, but Monstress seemed great.
>Amy Chu
hard pass, read Russell's run instead
this is good
Also Vampirella's masters series is a great read
- Anderson: Psi Division.
- The Ballad of Halo Jones.
- Jennifer Blood.
- George Perez' Wonder Woman.
- Modesty Blaise.
- Copperhead.
Love and Rockets by the Hernandez Bros. Both brothers write/draw two different story lines.
>Maggie the Mechanic by Jamie Hernandez
>Heartbreak Soup by Gilbert Hernandez
If you like one over the other there are more in the series.
Captain Marvel
Ms. Marvel
Giant days
Uncanny X-Men after Phoenix saga. I'm serious
The Ballad of Halo Jones
I loved Gail Simone's Red Sonja.
way better than Bennett's or Chu's
Literally every Vietnam movie acknowledges that.
Jessica Jones
Manhunter by Andreyko
Ms Tree
Chase
Rachel Rising
Rucka's non-capeshit stuff
Red Sonja by Thomas and Thorne and anything by Thorne
Evangeline by Chuck Dixon
Modesty Blaise
Ms. Tree
Give Me Liberty/Martha Washington
Ballad of Halo Jones
Love and Rockets (I couldn't get into it but ymmv)
Birds of Prey (start with the 1996 special, avoid the newest series)
Red One
Battle Angel Alita
Betty & Veronica and Josie by Doyle and DeCarlo
Gunsmith Cats
Danger Girl
Empowered
Batwoman Elegy & New 52 Batwoman up until JH Williams fully leaves the book.
Don't get turned off by the stupid TV show. She is fantastic in the comics.
Read comics instead.
Agreed on Witchblade especially Ron Marz's run and assorted events/tie ins to his run (broken trinity, angelus, artifacts)
Selina's Big Score
Trail of the Catwoman
When in Rome
Brubaker's Catwoman
Valentine's Catwoman
Princess Ugg
that is almost non existent.
Maybe Perez´s Wonder Woman
Spider-Girl
Cass Cain's Bat Girl run
Most things by Gail Simone, particularly the Batgirl (Babs) run.
Kamala's before it got swept up into Civil War 2, unironically. Felt like Silver Age Spider-Man right down to the building blocks of a harem for the protagonist.
There's no conspiracy, just writers following the blueprint set by Kingdom Come.
I mean, are you really going to defend that shitty pairing that is plagued by awful characterization?
... And there he is. Like the rising of the sun. You could set your watch to it.
The Artesia books.
Whatever, shipper. I don't even know who you are talking about.
>Seethe hard (With a vengeance)
Ok.
This shit sucks don't read it
this
>strong female protags
>frequently get enslaved, raped and beaten
Digger
>"I have to do what I think is right."
Cue burning bodies
There's the door, spaceman.
>Giant days
seconded
Also:
- Belladonna (by Ange, see fr.wikipedia.org

Following four by Kerascoet, all different:
- Beauty (fairy tale)
- Beautiful Darkness (subverted fairy tale)
- Miss Don't Touch Me (woman tracks her sister's murderer, in a brothel)
- Satania (girl descends the underworld in search of her brother)

Gold Digger is good fun
Danger Girl
Anya's Ghost
Patsy Walker
Archie comics
-Betty and Veronica
-She's Josie/Josie/Josie and the Pussycats
-Sabrina the Teenage Witch
Nancy
>Nancy
If you can find scans of Fritzi Ritz I'd go for those as well.
Valentine's run is seriously underrated. More people should read it.
Hey Yea Forumsmrades, Fritzi needs a mouth.
Are you a bad enough dude to draw her one?
over 9000 hours on paint.
The flapper comics from that era in general don't get much love or attention. Might as well add Flapper Fanny to recommend. I've been meaning to check out the Betty Boop newspaper strips and Nell Brinkley's stuff, too.
>Anya's Ghost
And "Be Prepared" by the same author, Vera Brosgol
This is fucking great
No one cares about that shitty pairing but you do sure bring it up like DC still gives a shit about it when it died with the Nu52.
