Good, less work for them

Implying it's not already dead
I just hope someday we can get a computer to emulate it and it can come back in some sort of niche at least.

Post more of Anna please.

Normies only want CGI

What's with the normalfag obsession with fictional depictions being "more real"?

TV CGI doesn't sell well. Costs are astronomical for the returns you can get on toys, in 20 years you only have like 3 shows that can be considered a non fiasco.

But in 2 decades hipsters will revive it like vinal

Tradfags seething in this thread be like

It's not being lazy, it's about money. It's really hard for independent creators to make something very big, and it's really hard to negotiate funding/business for big projects. Yes, there are some acceptations, but that is the reality you have to accept for now.

Conceptualization is an intellectual activity. Give them reality so they think less.

according to some fucko professors at college it has to do with empathy.

I think it also has to do with the fact that is more like real life it has to be taken more seriously.

Ernest & Celestine emulates hand drawn art with computers.

People don't feel empathy if something's abstract? That's retarded.

no, it is instinctual, empathy is some animalistic trait fro social creatures.

Which usually translates to the anthropomorphization of non-human symbols and entities. If anything humans tend to be more kindly to non-humans than each other (see; how people care more about dogs than other humans at times). The idea that things need to be more "real" and "human" to evoke that instinctual empathy is ridiculous.

Well OP, you cant just underpay everyone and expect them to care enough to put their best work out on everything. Korea isn't any better because everyone's outsourcing to them so they're definitely cutting corners. Nevermind the fact that every businessman wants to phase 2D out, so there's even less 2D traditional animators in the industry and its only gonna get harder to get in.

believe it or not, there are actually some people out there who cant feel anything for something unless it looks exactly like them. Might as well try to cast as big as net as possible and get their money too.

The previous generation was also lazy. Otherwise they wouldn't have outsourced everything

You not on youtube, faggot.

I've heard normies defending the Sonic movie by going "what, do they want it to look like pixels or something" more or less. There's no real appreciation for visuals and art direction either in animation or vidya that isn't just the fanciest most realistic looking stuff. Normalfags can't process why someone would think, say, 3rd Strike is a better looking game than the latest Call of Duty.
