Keanu heading for ETERNALS

I guess some of those old casting rumors were true. Obviously Sersei and Ikaris ended up going to different people but Keanu as the main villain was mentioned back in March

Based leaker may have been legit

Who is the main villain of this movie?

Learn to read retard

Can't wait for the inevitable tumblr quotes his character will have with Bill Foster

Keanu

You're telling me the poster who keeps posting MCU leak threads was actually legit?

They tend to be 50/50. That's why you should never dismiss outright.

Oh fuck off. A 50% chance only means that people could as well wait for official statements

as legit as people who claim to be able to preict the future because they guessed a few number once

What was that leak that listed him in the film?

50% are terrible odds. Also a lot of these "leaks" actually come from media scoops posted on Patreon, the aforementioned MCU Cosmic/Jeremy Conrad/etc and there's the rare Grace Randolph speculation and "We Got This Covered" article, which is why it's always a mixed bag.

Ted Logan, known by aliases "Neo" and "John Wick."

He could be Gilgamesh.

That, or Druig.

You guys are unbelievable: there's no Eternals thread that lasts long enough for a good discussion. When is Yea Forums gonna finally give in and read at least one of the shortest runs?

Damn he should have been Professor X.

>Jeremy fucking Conrad

It would be cool to see him as a villian.

Could someone, anyone, tell what the Eternals are?

We know who it is moron. The answer was given to you

Are you genuinely retarded? He is saying some leaks turn out true and others dont. Calm your autism

>not ghost rider

Excited

... What?

Its literally in the OP dumbass

See

The fuck are you talking about? I'm someone else, I posted it because I'm contributing to the thread, not because I wanted to discuss some "leaks".

Celestial creations that are generally super OP.

Will the MCU never stop wasting good actors on one off villain roles?

is there a fucking schizo ITT or something

Boi

In this particular case, unless they redefine the Eternals altogether, there's no chance any of the villains (if they're Eternals themselves) are "one-offs" since they always respawn. That is, as long as they don't destroy their pods or are unavailable somehow...

>Will the MCU never stop wasting good actors on one off villain roles?

These aren't comics where they keep coming back due to dumb bullshit/fan demand. Actors age, have places to go and things to actually do in their life, these roles are just fucking paychecks.

I mean, it's kind of hard to constantly bring big name actors back again and again.

i know nothing of the eternals other than them being ultra op ancient aliens but someone in that thread asked about hercules.

why would hercules be part of the eternals? i know from thor comics hes actually of earth and olympus, which is also on earth

Because technically, the Eternals are proto-gods that existed as inspiration for the gods in the mythos. It's why you have Thena, Sersi, Ikaris, Zuras, Gilgames, Phastos...
Introducing Hercules as an Eternal in the MCU basically says that the Greek Pantheon on MCU Earth was inspired by real living Eternals thousands of years ago, while the Norse Pantheon are Asgardian aliens. But technically, Eternals are not gods despite having immense power, they're just cosmically infused beings who can live practically forever (not too unlike Asgardians in fact).
They could actually create a sort of streamlined cosmology in the MCU to properly explain the origin of the Asgardians as well, if they're also sort of like the Eternals except powerful enough to rule over 9 realms/planets, whereas Eternals are more scattered as a species, without unifying traits across the galaxies aside from their abilities.

>Wasting Keanu in a fucking Eternals movie

Oh nonono I hope he's a villain, he could be a great Immortus.

Druig, who Keanu Reeves would be good for

good actors don't want to commit to multiple appearances over a multitude of films

how is he being wasted here? For all we know, Eternals could blow up and be the next Guardians or Black Panther.

They are also stacking the movie with big names like Keanu and Angelina Jolie because the franchise is unknown.

Someone killed Druig's dog.

Black Panther and GotG have better stories and character... nobody cares about the Eternals not even in comics, they are fucking dead right now.

Considering they don't have anymore a big story like Endgame and that they have the rights of X-Men and Fantastic Four, they are wasting Keanu in a movie that doesn't matter... as you said, they are using big names in the movie because will be the only reason to watch the movie.

>Black Panther and GotG have better stories and character... nobody cares about the Eternals not even in comics, they are fucking dead right now.

What have we fucking learned about being able to separate property performance in comics sales or likeability among grognards and with movie performance among casual viewers? Captain Marvel and Aquaman movies made more than a Batman and Superman movie despite the latter being around for fucking ever and having casual appeal from people who would take a shit on comics, and the former regarded as a joke in the case of Aquaman, or completely unknown like Captain Marvel.

They don't have to adapt a story to the tee, they haven't been doing that ever since they started the damn cinematic universe.

>nobody cares about the Eternals not even in comics

that literally means nothing when it comes to a movie adaptation. Shang-Chi hasn't been relevant since the 70s either, and if his movie is done right he could be popular too.

>in a movie that doesn't matter

Fiege literally said cosmic is the future of the MCU

the classic adage: Yea Forums doesn't read comics. Casuals and redditors have infested this place.

Eternals will be cool but I wonder if their names will be too confusing for the general public. Like when you have Ikaris, Thena, Makkari, Elysius, Druig, etc. will casuals be able to remember who is who? Or will the colorful costumes help with that?

>nobody cares about the Eternals not even in comics
Dude with a stacked cast like this, it literally doesn't matter if they're working with a completely OC property, it will still make bank. And besides, if "no one cares" as you say, then as soon as the movie plans are on the way, we'll get new Eternals comics. Ewing already is working on a cosmic Greek Pantheon after the Greek Gods die and reborn in "Avengers: No Road Home" (Hercules as a protagonist), and it's very damn likely it will tie into the Eternals since they live in fucking Olympia. This is supposed to happen next year.
So yeah, maybe more people will care, even if there's a few of us who have cared about them for years in silence.

Maybe, rememebr that we got Captain Marvel this year with names like Talos,Yon-Rogg, Minn-Erva, At-Lass and Mar-vell.
Foreing audience have even more trouble remembering those names

They recognize "Gamora" and "Heimdall" so I wouldn't worry about that. If the designs are good enough they'll stick out based on that.

I hope he's Kro, that was the only villious character in Eternals I thought had any merit. His and Thena's relationship was probably my favorite part of Eternals.

Pic related is my choice for Thena

but Hiemdall is a supporting cast with not many appearances, and it's not like Thor's entire supporting cast is prominent.

Eternals is going to be an ensemble with multiple people featured.
