Nu-Ra was an okay watch, characters is what saves it to be honest, but I understand why many don't give it a shot, visual-wise is super bland.
Owl House has a nice style, but I'm not hyping up anything because the project can easily fall flat on it's face. The biggest mistake this show make is trying to please the fans by doing shipping drama and adding waifus or something, and it may keep the fandom longer like Star did, but it makes the quality of the show worse.
Steven Universe has many, many problems, but something I respect about it is that the crew never let the fans shape the show.

I personally like this horde more, but that is because I'm a spic that loves character interactions more than anything in a show, and the Horde are the best characters on Nu-Ra, they're the most interesting, particularly Catra, Shadow Weaver and Entrapta.

To be honest? probably, but besides Peridot meme-ification (that I am glad they tried to fix with the episode where Lapis takes off the barn) i think a lot of it goes to CN too. Season 5 was rushed as fuck because the crew didn't got renewed for a new season after halfway through production, the constant hiatuses fucked up a lot of the show's phase, and the bomb format + the push of townie episodes really made a recipe for letdowns.

Why even push townie episodes to begin with? Why not feature the gems more, you know like what the shows supposed to be about. Whats the point of more or less cutting out characters like peridot from the show. I love peridot. That's actually one I can kind of answer, and is because of replays. When a show has a steady plot and not watch-alone episodes, replaying them becomes harder and harder, and getting people to watch them too, because usually they'll be too lost to understand it on it's own.
So, the network requests self-conclusive episodes with an overarching plot, and because of the format they have to center a lot of what usually would be exposition/filler into town characterization, dropping hints at bigger things to come, it really fucked up this show in particular because even though I like some of them like the Pizza family, none of the people in town are as interesting as the gems.

I get that, but again why not just make stand alone episode featuring the gems, i dont fucking get it and it angers me to a very unhealthy degree about a childrens cartoon. I dont care about fish stew pizza, i only care about pearl, peridot, and maybe vidalia if you include enough clevage shots.

Alright. My favorite member of the horde is Catra because she is a tragic figure. Her entire life was pretty much just being the whipping mule to Shadow Weaver and the only person she was able to trust and admire to any capacity was Adora. Because of this and the fact that Adora ditched the horde, Catra has a pretty big inferiority complex. She strives for validation from those above her for all the work she's put into the Horde. The problem is that the Horde, while a competent army, is full of emotionally stunted soldiers who were raised to be the best. Even the leadership is fucked with Shadow Weaver only caring about power and Hordak being a reject of Horde Prime. The only person that can give even a degree of compassion to Catra is Scorpia, but the sentimentality is not mutual because Catra herself is also emotionally stunted. She doesn't want to open up to anyone because she'll get hurt, but at the same time, she wants what the princesses have, actual compassionate comrades.
I may be rambling here but basically, I like Catra because she wants to be appreciated and in a sense, loved. The problem is that she knows that if she does open up, she'll doom the people around her in the same way Shadow Weaver doomed her. Whipping everyone around and making herself distant, cold, and actually harmful to others.
I guess this is why I like Scorpia. She's none of those things. She's genuinely happy and wants to be near Catra. She wants to be the person that Catra can hold on to. She wants a bond with Catra, but isn't realizing the harm that'll come her way by doing so. She's the antithesis to Catra despite being of the same mold.
This is just my interpretation. There's others that can probably describe this better than me, but that's why I like the Horde.

Based, and I agree, I don't know exactly why they picked the town out of the whole possibilities, the best filler episodes are those centered on the gems and not the town.

True chaotic neutral, Entrapta is socially, morally and ethically fucked up. She's been raised by robots, with almost 0 socialization, not even her own kingdom saw her because she locked herself in her room and only robots were allowed in.
When she joined the Horde she did it for science, and everything she has done has been for that reason, she doesn't care about ethical or moral dilemmas, she doesn't care that the planet can be fucked over, she seems failure as a way to learn, and while that is a valuable feature on a hero, is worrying on a neutral morality character.
Her appeal is that, she isn't necessarily evil but she is in the side of science, and science can do very immoral stuff in the name of research and knowledge.
