Proof that Bobby was meant to be gay from the start

It's also proof that Xavier is a man of prayer.

See when I saw the part about Bobby thinking about being a Disney Princess or something in Bendis' X-Men run, I thought that Bendis probably read that sequence from the original run then thought that Bobby should be gay.

Sure enough, years later he decides to out him in a sequence stupider than how Northstar's outing was handled.

I recall a bunch of examples from old Batman comics of Dick Grayson turning his nose up at some of Bruce Wayne's girlfriends. Dick turned out straight.

That's because no one likes the girl their father figure is dating.
These are all boys around the same age gawking at the new girl.

Charles is acting mighty covetous in that panel...

He's trying to implant a bald fetish into Jean.

Angle should have been the gay one or a girl so Jean can have someone to help her put on tampons.

That's what Kitty and her girlfriend are for.

I read it as Bobby not being horny like his friends. In high school people assumed I was gay or asexual because I never talked about girls in a lustful way, when in reality I didn’t feel like it

>Guy doesn't want to hound a girl.
>Must be gay!
I love this logic.

Having manners and respect makes you a queer didn't you hear?

Amazing how the casuals, and that includes Bendis, never bothered to read all the times that Bobby was chasing her affections.

lazy retcons made after the fact

>Xavier wants to fuck Jean
Thas fucked up

Naw Angel's thing originally was that he was already trying to be Batman in New York before he got roped into Chuck's suck & fuck. One thing I think Marvel really needs are Superheroes that are well liked in-universe but don't have ongoings. That way there are a bunch of non fuckups that protags agonize over being compared to. Imagine if JJJ was constantly talking about New York's guardian angel and how we need heroes like him instead of that wedded menace.

bump

But that's the thing, you see. Casuals only ever read:
- the Essential Reading list
- first appearance of the character, and then they get bored because it doesn't have flashy splash pages and coloring like Modern Comics.

That's it. I mean, consider Nolan, the archetypical casual - The Dark Knight was a mix between Batman Year One, Dark Knight Returns and the original appearance of Joker in Batman #1, because that's all he fucking read.

That could be cool. Bonus points of these heroes are in other countries all over the world, to better flesh out the worldbuilding.

>wedded menace
Go back to bed, Quesada

Xavier wasn't supposed to be super old yet. Late 20s at most

Both issues are by Lee and Kirby, you cretin

>doesn't orbit the first girl to come to the school
>must be gay

Bobby was supposed to be a few years younger than the others, and he's written as very childish and immature. The idea was supposed to be that he just hadn't 'noticed' girls yet.

A later origin story revealed that before he joined the X-Men, he had a girlfriend who rejected him when she learned he was a mutant, and this would also explain his reaction here.

Proof that gays will ruin everything and intentionally misinterpret things to make everything about themselves.

Imagine the foot jobs Henrietta McCoy can give.

How was Northstar outed? Gay because of all the sibling handholding?

>Dick turned out straight.
Slightly curved, actually

The Dark Knight has nothing to do with Year One or TDKR. The Dark Knight is very loosely based on Long Halloween, with its Joker being very loosely based on Batman #1 and A Serious House on Serious Earth.

He came out in the middle of a fight with a super-powered Mountie, a fight over a crackbaby with AIDs.
