I would say Black Hat cares about them in the way he would a piece of furniture. That being that they are HIS.

Flug is the one that cares, he cares a great deal about 505 and he treats Demencia as a rowdy child that needs discipline. Even when he figured out how to beat Sunblast he made the realization that he needed to listen to 505 and Demencia more to know what would get them to go with his plans. His schedule also has him waking them up, giving 505 chores, and feeding/dressing Demencia. For experiments he puts a great deal of care with those two.

Black Cat doesn't really seem to give much of a shit about any of them and Flug and 505 seem to be scared of Black Hat. Demencia is smitten and a bit terrified but mostly smithen. I also wonder, if this show somehow manages to continue at least, if Alan will bother making it deep and more than episodic and if it might end up with Black Hat being the ultimate evil and Flug posisbly turning on Black Hat.

Is it just me being old, simple shit taste/ignorance on the subject, or has latino voiceacting kind of gotten worse over the years? I remember the emoting being better up to the early 00s.

Don't get me wrong, VA for this pilot and Villanous in general is fine, and Flug has based Jamememes behind him, but there's something in the way Sunblast (and to a lesser extend BH and Demencia) speak that rubs me the wrong way, and I've noticed the same thing in most latino dubs for animation I've encountered in the recent past.

How to put it... It's like, the voices are not bad, but there's a weird situation of the characters "overemoting" but at the same time somehow ending up weaker and less genuine because of it. It cannot be a language thing, since Flug's voice flows wonderfully and so did many shows in the past, so I can only assume that it has to do with newer VAs not measuring up.

As someone who's been to Mexico several times, they kinda do.
You drive down any city, Mexico City, Leon, Durango, etc... If it was for the sake of becoming a great villain I could imagine he discovered Black Hat's home out in the ocean and flew a plane out there to encounter him. Black Hat wrecked his plane forcing him to crash land and thus end up meeting him.

I'm surprised at how young everyone looks. I suppose the animation industry in Mexico, being less established, is easier for young people to break into. The American animation industry isn't geriatric but it seems like it takes people longer to break into or they drop off earlier and first time show runners are often older than the crewmembers in this picture (30s and 40s).

Still mad at the whole "making youtubers have the jobs of professionals just for advertisement reasons" but I won't let that get in the way of my love for 5.0.5, that fucking bear is cute.

Apparently the code found in the static can be rearranged to make "Goldheart". It's strange because I assumed Goldheart was supposed to be the kid in the cage, but it might also refer to the dream hero. However another source claims that the code makes out "At 07-3 at 12", possibly referring to the day the next episode releases.
