THE NEW Pattinson BATSUIT

What are the do's and don'ts for the new design? What should they pull from prior designs? What should we avoid?

I want a Spider-Man like batsuit, skintight with gloves, boots, cowl, belt. No armor.

If they don't want to give him white eyes, why not use some demon contact lenses? Like Geralt's eyes from The Witcher 3, perhaps. It would give him a more supernatural look than just old mask and blue eyes.

Attached: Metal_006_Metallic.jpg (660x495, 53K)

He works as a mysterious rich playboy type, so it has to be kinda gothic.

I want an update of the classic.

Attached: 1batman.jpg (800x1035, 85K)

They'd probably tease something like this for the Joker movie.

Give the white eyes cowards

Attached: Batman_lenses_1024.jpg (533x709, 26K)

honestly, BvS' costume was incredible

Sounds like the Alex Ross costume, but for less buff body type.

Attached: alex_ross_batman_hero.png.jpg (1200x680, 127K)

Assuming that this is a much earlier Batman, I don't expect him to be as comfortable at the job and therefore more cautious. For that reason, I think he would adopt a bulkier Batsuit in the film and only possibly adopt a more fluid suit closer to the end of the film. Also considering that Pattinson has a slimmer build than prior Batmen the added suit armor would make him more imposing.

Attached: batman_arkham_origins_batman_by_armachamcorp-d6rsb53.jpg (700x700, 154K)

Yeah, that's true. It's what makes the warehouse fight a treat to rewatch again and again.

Attached: 1459959290415.jpg (480x480, 30K)

I'd expect something like an updated version of the Nolan suit, though seeing as how the costumes for WW, Aquaman and Shazam were pretty great, I'd expect something like the Arkham Asylum suit with a few Arkham Origins elements as well.

That or a straight adaptation of the porn suit.

Attached: 1357124161317.jpg (960x720, 98K)

They really should just do the eyes like the Black Panther helmet has it and call it a day. Very slim white openings

Attached: 3705760941140532218.jpg (666x1000, 112K)

Pattinson is 30, he should be at least six or seven years in. He should be pretty comfortable

Just give him a yellow belt and oval and I'll be happy
I really, REALLY, hope something like that happens

More than likely this will be late late 20s Early 30s. Batman in his prime

He has that mid-twenties look to him without the beard. I'd say he has that The Batman feel to him.

Attached: five shades of bat.jpg (2164x1157, 1.53M)

Give him white eyes!!!!!

For some odd reason I consider peak Batman at like 35-40. Definitely not at his physical best, but Old-Man strength is definitely a thing and having all those added years of combat experience as well as just general refinement of all of his skills and you have a terrifying Batman. I think when looking at "Prime" Batman, I lean towards the DCAU Batman along with Arkham Knight Batman.
>I'd be okay if they went with an Arkham Knight design as it is armored, yet completely flexible.

Attached: 1468956183_1971849_n01.jpg (1920x1573, 1.28M)

based

Attached: ivy-and-freeze.png (802x800, 1.22M)

30ish Batman would be post- peak for World's Greatest Detective, while brawling punished Batman would definitely be peak during 35-50s.

>Adapts Hush for the new movie
>Has Catwoman for diversity bait
>But also tie in Dick Grayson's origin story as being caused by Hush in some manner
>Creates a dual theme of Bruce grappling with fatherhood, the notion of his father not being the saint he knew as a boy, and his own responsibilities to raise Dick right and show him a different path than the one Bruce took.
>Post-credits sequel hook for Court of Owls
I'll take my Oscar for Best Costume Design now

Look at his cute dumb bat-tummy

More nipples.

BvS had the perfect live action batsuit for all of the movie's flaws

No overly amored/tactical all black emo garbage.

It MUST be mostly grey.

No goofy ass long ears.

Preferably white eyes.

Preferably yellow chest symbol.

Armor will always be shit. Fuck the taticool garbage

>eyes that light up in the dark.

This is why comic fags never get live action right. You fags dont even know how the real world works.

Well it kinda works for certain suits

Attached: DO YOU BLEED.jpg (1200x799, 418K)

I completely agree with that assessment. I think I just personally favor and older Batman. Part of the reason why I enjoy Moon Knight and Daredevil as both are definitely not considered "young".
>I would be more than onboard with this costume.
>It's definitely a more classic take yet doesn't look completely defenseless.

Attached: review_bbwmm2_large.jpg (800x1204, 93K)

Something like this. No real armor except maybe the gauntlets.

Attached: 8fcc3a09c955c97af35f818aa84b63f8.jpg (650x783, 57K)

Ben Affelck had the best Batsuit, it looked like something out of the comics and not weird rubber or armory.

That cowl is damn sexy.

I know some may consider it tacti-cool, but I think the Telltale Batsuit would be perfect for a younger Batman. That said, I don't know when the movie is supposed to take place so it might be considered too much.

Attached: 7052629221c23bcff65475aa51da89b9.jpg (1061x1840, 112K)

I want a more seasoned MK myself

I've always wanted Brad Pitt as Marc.

Something skintight, minimal padding like Affleck or pads like Bale.
Black cape and cowl.
Grey body.
Ears should be short as it's an early Batman.
Yellow belt.
Black symbol.
The underwear preferred.
Don't do white eyes unless they can absolutely make it not look retarded.

Attached: bale and affleck.jpg (1600x1186, 176K)

I think they should go for less gray and more black this time around -- like the 90's Batman suits that were based off the Val Kilmer film, just with a better Bat logo.

Attached: could you tell I grabbed this image off photobucket.jpg (640x438, 150K)

How the fuck would he walk through any doorway with those dumbass ears. It's not practical and looks ridiculous. Cut them in half.

Yeah forgot to include trunks need to be a thing. And the white eyes can work ^^^^

Absolute worst taste. Hot Topic Batman can fuck off.

White eyes worked with Black Panther, but I think that without the Deadpool/Spidey moving eyes, it would just make him look too emotionless. Given mastery of lighting effects, it could work like with Daredevil though.

Attached: 1459775164257.jpg (744x730, 143K)

Throwing in a tacticool Mortal Kombat-esque suit, though I'd much prefer to see this in a video game than in the movies.

Attached: 1393981859380.jpg (2667x1500, 868K)

The ears are fine you autist.

Just fucking use the Arkham suit already

Bataffleck was so perfect.

Can we expect something as simple as this or the Arkham Asylum suit?

Attached: 1541585865377.jpg (1988x3056, 955K)

No, not at all.

Batman's best designs come from him scaring the living shit out of criminals because they think he isn't human. The mystique is no fun when it's just a gruff, buff man kicking you in the face from a zipline.

If it's solid black with yellow accents then it'd appear a lot more menacing with the right lighting. Kind of like this barring the obvious over-exaggerations.

Attached: Batman_547.jpg (722x1130, 91K)

>What are the do's and don'ts for the new design?
DON'T put Pattison inside of it, that's pretty much it

I want something close like the Year One suit. Light grey,no visible body armor, very lean.

Attached: d99dsle-bfe31376-b946-4e3d-8218-7ae7c9c06dc3.jpg (816x979, 195K)

Perhaps too perfect. Now it's just remembered as the cool suit from the Snyder era.

Attached: 1459656564283.webm (720x320, 1009K)

god that looks like it would look AWFUL in live action
>that cowl
>that jawline

Lmfao what the fuck even is that. Look at his fatass head. Holy christ that is the atrocious thing i've seen in this thread. I'm done.

stay salty

Attached: 1377058759418.png (219x160, 65K)

He's talking about the suit which is unquestionably the best of any live action suit.

the batfleck suit was so perfect bros :(
sucks that the studio will probably try to distance themselves as much as possible from the previous designs in order to set PatBat apart from the rest. Worried that they'll take it too far and end up with something retarded.

Attached: 1460077872496.png (882x758, 17K)

This is almost perfect. Pointy mouth opening is must.

Batman is usually depicted with a scowl and/or grimace.
Save the moving eyes for Bruce Wayne

You can get that same effect with a black and gray suit.

Attached: sSUjcGt.jpg (800x800, 222K)

>puke green lighting coming from painted bulbs
I might as well just throw the camera into a swamp for the same effect. Just because the colors blend in one light doesn't mean anything is accentuated or presented well.

No lie, I love the MKvsDCU batsuit. It's lean and flexible, but the lines give the illusion of subtle armored plating.

youtube.com/watch?v=Hz3Ucx6aiBM

Attached: Batman_Render_mk_vs_dc.png (570x1024, 1.45M)

Less spectacle more theater. Go alex ross bodysuit and play up the utility belt as detective tools mostly

I know he's talking about the suit, and no it's not perfect.
It's too padded, it has too many bumps on it, the DKR symbol looks bad on it, the belt is too dark and it doesn't have the trunks. Plus, Affleck looks obese in it.

As far as the other live-action costumes have gone, it really is the best we’ve gotten so far.

>Gray and Black
>Long Ears
>White Lenses

Something more similar to Neal Adams, than Dick Sprang.

youtube.com/watch?v=rj2koyYyQuY

Obviously it's not comic accurate, but I still think Batman Begins had the best costume on screen so far, specifically.
Obviously from my earlier post I'd prefer something like the comics though, I just think the BVS suit was a botched version of it.

>Batman Begins costume
Shit he's serious AHAHAHAHAHA

Better than Fatman.

Attached: 1487884556035.png (528x462, 639K)

It doesn't help your case as you post examples of Nolan's abortion.

I can totally see Brad Pitt as MK

>doesn't have the trunks

why do you folks have a hard-on for the
underwear?
batfleck did it fine without it and it had a good black/grey balance.

Attached: 6a5ef57df793c0d1e9fc9895240e2e29.jpg (236x347, 20K)

And who changes the wheels on the Batmobile, huh!? What if Batman has to shit? how does that work?

>I've always wanted Brad Pitt as Marc.
Why the fuck do you have to tease me bro?
>Opena's Moon Knight had a killer look and would definitely be a good base for a Batsuit.

Attached: 5703202-5687312065-14988.jpg (897x416, 230K)

There's a difference between off-camera practicality and on-screen practicality as well aestheticism. Long ears just looks retarded and serves no real purpose, so there's no real reason to not shorten them.

It should be his rebirth costume. Its sleek and modern with the purple and yellow of the original batman. no white lenses please it looks stupid in live action.

This is the same board that accepted "Manlet in goatse mask and fur lined coat" as 9/10 Bane.
I'm pretty sure that anything short of assless black rubber chaps will be hailed as the new "Best Batman Ever" following the usual pattern.

Attached: 4u.jpg (1200x798, 217K)

I'll throw in my two cents on this one.
>The ears
Short to mid height only. Enough for a striking silhouette, but not full on rabbit ears for god sake.
>The logo
Admit it or not, the modern/current bat symbol is arguably the best version, mixing old and new. Black, with a yellow outline to draw fire to the armor.

Other notes
>NO ARMOR ABS OR HEAVY PLATING
>Neck turning is a must but as long as the head/cowl doesn't look like a bobble head
>Belt should be gold or else it gets lost in the design
>Shorts? Take or leave

Attached: Batman rebirth1.jpg (485x750, 52K)

>Eyes?
I prefer white eyes (like the costume you showed)with the ability to change colors as well as intensity (glowing if ncessary)
>I much prefer white.
>That said, Red for Intimidation baby!!!!!

Attached: maxresdefault (3).jpg (1280x720, 57K)

Ah, a fellow red-eyerian

Attached: breton_zbrush.jpg (1280x720, 65K)

White lenses would be nice, nothing glowing though. Voice modulator would be good too

>it's too padded
Probably because it's meant to look like the only one that's actually bulletproof
>it has too many bumps on it
Which makes sense, given that Batfleck in universe has been batman for a real long time
>it doesn't have the trunks
What the fuck is the appeal of the trunks, they look retarded. You're going to have normies hating it, memeing about "bruh why does batman wear his boxers outside bruh xD". The best thing New 52 did was to make Trunks-less batman the norm.

Red is best

Attached: Earth-2-017-(2014)-(Digital)-(Nahga-Empire)-11.jpg (1920x2951, 1.49M)

Attached: herói.png (1200x1200, 75K)

If they have to do tacticool use the telltale design

Attached: 1_9627_N_MzOeE7GekIG83Ag.png (1920x1080, 1.3M)

What should the Batcave look like?

Attached: 54C9EBB5-14AD-4506-ADAF-0B40F6436D8E.jpg (1920x1521, 541K)

How is this costume suppose to be practical for Bats at all? I understand respecting the OG design but giving him a suit that's not at least bullet proof or has any sign of body armor just makes Bruce seem like an idiot. Maybe if it was literally his first week of being Batman or some shit, and he didn't think the vigilante thing through at all.

>ugly
>flat
>barely any shading
>one tone colors
>massive forehead
This is bad art.

Stop with the tacticool bullshit. Batfleck was a step in the right direction, but far too bulky.

Fucking thanks for bringing that up. Totally spaced. Aside from Keaton who I thought knocked it out of the park, I have not been a fan of most actors doing the "Batman-Voice". There are a few exceptions (Conroy, Baldwin, Romano) but the majority of the time it comes across as kinda akward. The Telltale and Batfleck version both use the modulator to great effect, but for Pattinson's Batman I think Baker's rendition would be a better fit. Batfleck just sounds like he's about to murder someone with his bare hands after every line. Entertaining, but not appropriate for a green Batman.
youtube.com/watch?v=OzsmUq3r6ag

Attached: batman_telltale_series-game-(352).jpg (1920x1080, 313K)

I'll say it; Telltale deserved to go under. When your "games" are nothing but cutscenes, you better damn well make sure they can run smoothly

My fucking man. It seems like a unique combination of classic with an armored twist. I think The Enemy Within's costume is a bit much for early Batman but season one was fucking legit.

This thread has caused me to go back and revisit prior Batsuits and I gotta say, I love the Romano Batsuit. It has such a classic look with so many features that I enjoy (ridiculous cape, short ears, yellow oval, white yes) and Romano manages to put on a Bat-Voice without channeling his Peter Parker.

Attached: 1502927651894.jpg (640x1264, 63K)

>Voice modulator

Please no. I hated it on Batfleck and felt it was entirely unneeded, his voice was gravelly enough as it was.

The only voice modulation I'd accept is if it makes him sound like Kevin Conroy. Bonus if you can hear Pattinsons voice underneath the modulation so it sounds way eerie.

A voice modulator just makes sense. It not only disguises Bruce's voice, but it prevents the actor from doing a retarded fucking voice like Bale's.

Pattinson actually did a pretty good Batvoice on the spot when he was fucking around on the Twilight commentary.

Detail wise it's pretty much identical to the BTAS costume

it's just the aesthetic

Attached: tumblr_inline_ozohl6oZ8e1u7pasm_1280.jpg (1280x1091, 692K)

Both looks are fucking legendary. Great for prime Batman, not green Batman.

Despite the number of times it has been posted, the Miller/Snyder look is absolutely golden, again probably not for Pattinson as I feel you need the build to fill it out, but a god tier costume nonetheless.
>As weird as it sounds I need to see how massive Pattinson is willing to get for this. I really don't want another Bale. He looked good, but not Batman good (then again this might be because of Nolan's atrocious choreography that only got worse with every film).

Attached: prime-1-studio-dark-knight-returns-234089.jpg (1365x2048, 425K)

Two Radical Opinions Coming In!!!

>Titans - Batsuit
Although we didn't get to see a lot of it, the Titan's Batsuit appeared to be armoroed yet in no way stopped his movement from being an absolute monster. It seemed imposing, but I think he Pattison but on a good 20-30 pounds he could pull it off.
youtube.com/watch?v=dS-BelPkSoI

Attached: tumblr_pjqml0tILr1qhcdpbo9_400.gif (268x180, 1.84M)

>not green Batman.
Whaddaya want, purple gloves?

Attached: 25c7b617b6a14051d56ffa19973aece7.jpg (600x825, 69K)

For the longest time there's been something that I really hated about this suit and it wasn't until just now that I realized what it was. I can't stand the way his cape is bunched up around his back.

Take the Arkham suit. Aside from some details, it's pretty much the same design. But the cape here is spread out over his shoulders and looks SO MUCH BETTER.

Attached: arkham.jpg (630x1200, 156K)

It's perfect.

Honestly I feel how it's filmed effects how the costume looks just as much as the design of the costume itself

I wouldn't mind the suit looking armored/ more realistic during detective/batcave scenes where we are seeing the man and not the myth. But during any scene that could be from someone else's point of view he should always be partially hidden in shadows or a blur of movement. So fighting bad guys or talking to Gordon for info kinda scenes. You could even simplify for those scenes or add some stuff to help with the flow of blending into the shadows. As the idea is he wouldn't be easy to keep track of.

i would also like it as it helps solidify the idea that behind the scenes Batman is just a man but to Gotham he is a legend

I don't need purple gloves (although the costume you posted was fantastic). I think I want a costume that is clearly not his first costume yet obviously not his last. The Arkham Asylum Batsuit is a bit too close to the end of his career but still close to what I'm looking for. I want something sleek yet precautions. Modern yet classic. When portraying a Batman that's been doing this for 2-3 years it's going to need to be a prime Batman (which is why I gravitate towards Telltale and BTAS).

Unpopular Choice 2
>Smallville Batman
It would be something unlike anything we've seen before. The black face mask makes complete sense for concealing his identity. It think Miller unfortunately went on the record saying his voice sounds like Bruce but I feel this suit is tricked out all to hell to make him fearsome to basically anyone. Still nowhere near Batman Beyond suits or Arkahm Knight with respect to gadgets but I could be wrong.

Attached: Smallville_Season_11_Vol_1_7_Textless.jpg (1500x2288, 682K)

You're just making me enjoy the Titan's suit that much more lol.

Also is anyone aggravated beyond belief we never got a proper look at the Gotham Batsuit? He literally took out the Joker with a Batarang. That leaves me to two conclusions.
>The producers gave zero shits and didn't even consider giving Bats a good view. They could have pulled an anti-Smallville, but didn't.
>This Bats is so fucking competent that all he needs is a single batarang to shut down Jerimiah.

I’m not asking for a ridiculous growl voice like Bale’s, but Kevin Conroy did a great job making the differences between Bruce and Batman distinct. And who cares about disguising the voice? Pretty much all cape media has managed to work around it.

Utility belt should be yellow

Batman adds more armor as he goes he actually started off a bit cockier and only added more layers of armor after repeated injuries learn your Batman.

After revisiting Year One I see what you mean (at least to an extent). He started out with literally cloth armor that couldn't absorb a bullet. If you don't mind me asking though, what suit would you say represents current Batman with regard to protection?

I'm genuinely surprised more people haven't advocated for the leather suit. It's clear that it absorbs bullets and with the exception of the cowl, doesn't appear to limit too much (at least with respect to how it would appear meow). The Forever suits and B&R suits seamed a bit much, but the 1989 and Returns suit especially were fucking kino.

This

Just clicked this wasn't the Keaton suit. The symbol gave it away.

Easy

Attached: ihscw6qr15do.jpg (1333x2000, 1.56M)

this desu

Returns Suit for neat differneces. Still maintain it would work for Pattinson considering it worked for Keaton and he was kind of tiny compared to other actors (I have five inches on him and maybe 20-30 pounds).
>Love the new abs lol

Attached: -Dnr2E5KKfaZY-nu01aMQAHaK7.jpg (474x699, 47K)

I like this suit.
Unless it's for special occasions (like serious world ending threats) batman shouldn't look any more armored than this

Of course Yea Forums would limit itself to movie and game suits.

Attached: 1414515280012.png (948x1957, 1.25M)

Taking the detective thing too literally

Or maybe we actually get a Batman who can not get hit, uses his arsenal to actually do shit instead of punch or shoot his way through shit while bodying every.
Batman's better off being vulnerable. If you want a super hero who can take bullets and beatings without any harm, go read Superman.

>A distorted Conroy-esque voice doubled over Pattinsons natural growl, with a reverb/delay effect

>Batman sounds like two gravelly yet distinct voices growling from the shadows like a legit demon of the night out to haunt criminals

Fucking beautiful, make it happen.

White eyes.
White eyes.
White fucking eyes.
Make them from a rough plexiglass (the kind that you would use for a shower divider or bathroom window) and backlit by a white LED. This way, they will appear to glow in the dark, but emit practically no light on their own.

Seconded. I want Batman to fucking look like Batman.

is Pattinson confirmed?
wasnt there another contender?

not gonna happen cause cash in on marvel tactikewl shitnergy

BvS batsuit was good tough

WB confirmed to press already, yes.

Obviously he has a gadget that deposits his shit into a pouch that he can throw at villains

I want white eyelids and a grey body suit. Maybe purple underneath the cape, something like his Rebirth/Capullo design.

Reeves Batman is going to be about a young Bruce Wayne though so I would like to see a sort of makeshift costume for this movie that gradually looks more impressive and "Batman" as the trilogy goes on.

I personally hated the cowl and the mask in returns, made Keaton look like Carlos Viyagran (Quico).

but the one from 89 was goat

>89 is goat
Come on you know that rubber suit is fucking stupid with those ridiculously long ears with a cowl that's stationary. Not to mention the rubber abs and lack of color aside the retarded amount black and a little yellow.

Speaking of Rebirth/Capullo design. I dig the classic blue coloring on this pic but I wonder if an editanon would be kind enough to black/purple the cape/cowl

Attached: dc_rebirth_batman__dccu__by_spider_maguire-da41so8.png (400x599, 291K)

the only thing 100% necessary is the turnable neck. we can't go backward with it like batfleck did.

as close to pic related as possible, also wouldn't mind purple gloves/cape interior

Attached: 1449115583758.jpg (2120x1141, 542K)

he could turn his neck and the suit was infinitely better than all previous suits.

Batfleck suit was literally peak movement we have ever gotten in a batsuit you moron

Batsuit has been armored since Batman #1, when the Joker tried to shoot him point blank.

I'd like something close to the Batfleck suit. If they added the underwear, had a better material texture, made the ears longer, and used a better bat-suit it would have been perfection.

Don't have it made by the same company that makes EVERY SINGLE SUPERHERO COSTUME FOR HOLLYWOOD FILMS
they all look the same
they all have the same shit basketball texture
Also that Gotham show suit looked fucking awful cosplayers have done a better job than that
Have a look at the costume Billy Zane wore in The Phantom

that looks shit irl it works in comics not film

NO

Oh shit, it's actually Batman!

Honestly kinda cool. I’d use this as art for a pc in a Mutants and Masterminds game without the cowl. Make him like a hopping cricket based ninja pc, kinda old school weird pulp figure. That sorta goofy cowl works well for older pulpy feel

I love seeing Batman smile with Clark. It’s cute

A cape that drapes around him. I cant stand a Bat suit that has the cape fixed at the shoulders. That shit started with Batman Forever and I hate it

Less paneling. The Gotham suit is ugly as hell and the Dark Knight costume looks too much like Robocop.

The fuck is wrong with the Burton suits? They got it right on the first try. Returns looked more armored without going overboard.

Attached: gallery2.jpg (1000x1550, 148K)

I want the cape to flow around him rather than just hang at the back.

I could see them modelling it on the Morrison/Burnham version since that Batman's frame is quite similar to Pattinson's

Attached: Screenshot 2019-06-02 at 10.59.38.png (340x936, 519K)

It's how Batman should have always looked

the way he moved along the wall is fucking retarded

A light-hearted buddy cop movie between them two would be a dream come true

a serious team up following two individual movies

I'd be happy if we got a slightly less tacticool costume. Not as skimpy as though.

Batman Inc. suit.
White eyes.

Nothing heavily armored but some padded armor could work well while perceiving the "cloth" look of the comics. Sort of in the style of how the Oni suits from Kamen Rider Hibiki had muscle padding.

Lmao, what an embarrassing retard

Looks fine in the example posted above. Get better taste

Why fuck the design up

Isn't that actually Dick though

Yes

Trunks and cloth or I'm not seeing it frankly.

This adds to the story. He's a man that needs to avoid bullets and fights street crime.

This adds nothing and courts deadpool and Spiderfags.

Also, this:Holy fuck you keatonfags are insufferable, that was by far the dumbest looking costume of any capeflick.

Are you retarded? The batfleck suit from BVS was the only one since West someone could actually physically fight in.

This.
I'm really sad that we'll never see such a perfect batsuit again.

Needs trunks. Capullo is a hack because he's obsessed with not drawing them.

You say this as if they invented tacticool rather than WB.

The trunks are fucking gay, dude.

That faggot Hoult? He was only a contender for people who want gay Batman.

>you're typical zoomer
Hang yourself faggot.

>I don't like Batman but I like the idea of Batman
Why do you faggots think anybody cares about your casual ass?

I hate you.

Oh no, are the two babby gonna cry because someone pointed out a grown man wearing underpants outside his bat costume looks fucking retarded? Get fucked, nerds.

>it looks retarded
It doesn't. It looks like Batman.

Seems you simply aren't a fan of Batman.

>grown men playing sports is silly
>grown men playing vidya is silly
>grown men doing X is silly
How about you rusty cunts and faggots stop policing what men do?

Have a (You)

Skull and ears are way too long

I think he's okay.
What does that have to do with the underpants? Nice projecting there, bud.

You take bait seriously and think anything else is retarded?

Harold Allnut, Batman’s mute hunchback friend who secretly lived in the Batcave, used to change the tires. Not sure who does now tho.

Because user wanted to sound like he reads comics and yet he only follows comic instagram accounts.

I really like the Batfleck design from BvS even though I hate that movie.

This. Basically BvS but without the battle damaged texture and a pouchy belt.

Affleck suit, only darker with a n52 yellow around the bat, less "creasy", tan or bronze colored belt and no irises and pupils covering the entire eye holes is stupid. Sleaker too Affleck suits is too bulky and fat.

This costume right here seems like the perfect balance between tacticool and comic accurate without being too similar to the arkham suits. It also has a very detective type look to it.

Attached: batsuitarmor.jpg (600x880, 54K)

What's with this stupid obsession with trunks. I've been a comic fan for 25 years, I know the history and thought trunkless suits were more aesthetic I don't get it.

It's okay to have different opinions, sonny.

Lose the side holsters, bigger more prominent bat symbol, cut the ears shorter by 2/3's, drop the little blue light bullshit and make the face slit look less like a smiley face.

I understand that but it just seems like a step back desu.

That's probably what the franchise needs. It's so overcomplicated that I feel if people see a Batman they recognize, it'll be more familiar to the general audience. I'm not saying go completely for a man in tights (even if I would prefer that) but more for a compromise, like . But that's just, like, my opinion or something, man.

Having Bats be more gadget focused would be a fantastic direction, especially for an early Batman. But the fact remains he's a fighter and you're not going to convince me Bats can dodge bullets and guns in close quarters instead of just, I don't know, using body armor.

Also I like my vulnerable heroes, but there's literally no point to vulnerable heroes in these Hollywood franchise movies. Your MC takes a bullet, puts alcohol and a bandage on it, walks it off ready for his next 7 minute fist fight, no risk of death. Making movie characters "vulnerable" just adds pointless filler to movies as if we don't know they'll be fine in the end.

That's a good look don't be me wrong I just think the trunks AND the belt break up the lines of the suit. desu a yellow belt and no trunks would make it better.

it needs to be an actual cave
it always bothers me when it's a man-made space in it's entirety, or so complicated it'd clearly require a work crew
that being said, the longer Batman has been active the more developed I'm okay with the cave being

>The producers gave zero shits and didn't even consider giving Bats a good view. They could have pulled an anti-Smallville, but didn't.

You know it was this.

I believe we've seen the hi-tech many times now. A more "naked" version of the batsuit, and of batman himself, just like in batman year 100 would be extremely interesting. Seeing batman rely more on deep meditation, guerilla tactics, and fear makes for a more interesting character than another "money is my superpower" focus.

Hard to say specifically. I feel that the Arkham Series Bruce has a unique combination of other iterations but probably has the strongest ties to the DCAU Bruce, especially with regard to his physique.

I don't want to believe this considering the absolute cheesefest the last season was. Not having Batman in that series finale is one of the most confusing things I've had the displeasure of witnessing. At least we still got the Titans rendition. He may have just been a shadow, but a shadow that did not fuck around and clearly had a build on the same level as Batfleck.

Meant lack of Bat-Symbol.

The Batman Forever suit is a bit weird in my book. and has many many similarities with the 1989 suit. Also first appearance of Bat-Nipples. The suit works in action but some of the issues with the 1989 suit carry over (all black with nothing to break it up, doesn't look like it offers protection). Weirdly I think the Returns suit looked more physically imposing. For Pattison though, I think something similar to this wouldn't be the worst move.

How about just doing the costume from Dead End?

Because its awkward to sit in the theater with a boner that your girlfriend thinks is caused by her when its really not

>why do you folks have a hard-on for the underwear
Because it works and it's part of an iconic design that literally has stood thevrest of time.

For a fan film, they really nailed a comics-accurate costume on film.

Attached: 4222005115559Dead End Suit.jpg (324x432, 13K)

All you short ear shitters need to go. Long ears sell the look so much better. They don't have to be Kelly Jones long but at least the length of the Burton movies. short ears worked for the Frank Miller aesthetic as he was stocky and built, but on leaner Batmans the short ears look silly and vestigial. If you're worrying about how he gets through doors or whatever, have sex.

>that literally has stood thevrest of time.
Hard to say that when he's been trunksless for so many years and stories.

>so many years and stories
70 years with trunks.
9 years without.
Considering they've been quietly putting the trunks back on in the comics I think your logic is flawed senpai.

Best fucking suit only gripe is the belt, maybe add a belt like this or .

I fucking hate the yellow outline

As suspected, you're a dumb casual that thinks he only went trunksless with the New52. Clueless buffoon.
Also, he's been trunkless in all of his movie appearances since '89.

No, Batman, inc. was 2010. There have been instances of trunklessness like Troika, but the trunks were the default look.

Been a comic fan for 25 years I liked the trunkless look better it, weirdly I'm 50/50 when it comes to Supes as some artists really nail the fucking trunks, Batman is a ninja not a strongman and the trunks break the lines of his look. Hopefully they can switch between the looks from here on as I don't hate the trunks completely.

I know it might be blasphemy, but I am not on board with the purple tints. If feel like if we want to stray away from gray/black then we should go in the O'Neil direction or Dick's costume when he was Batman. Definteily wouldn't mind them adapting that suit in some fashion.

Attached: featured.png (1080x720, 919K)

>There have been instances of trunklessness
Which was my point, he's also trunksless in JLA off the top of my head. Also
>quietly putting the trunks back on
>quietly
Tom King made a huge deal out of it actually because he's an emotionally stunted manchild that thinks doing pointless trash fanservice like that earns him good boy points, it's why he put Harley back in her classic costume too, he thinks it earns him point with the "nerds hihi" as he likes to say

Too bright imo, they should stick to either gray to black or super dark blue/purple. I've never liked that particular color scheme.

>Which was my point
Yet the fact that he went always went back to trunks during that period invalidates your point. The 2010-2019 period was the longest sustained trunksless run but that has now ended.

And yet they still always try the trunkless look. You sound like such a sheep though, and what's worse you're siding with Tom King.

What about the Spiderman films costumes?, what about Deadpool film costume, Just make white eyes non-glowing

Cgi is shit.

>And yet they still always try the trunkless look
And each time it fails and they go back to the trunks. That means the trunks look works.

It doesn't fail though, dumbass.

If it doesn't fail why do the trunks keep coming back?

Not him, but the reason they keep coming back is it's a classic look and some artists/fans prefer them while others don't. Doesn't mean ones better than the other.

Because certain artist prefer different variations. Sometimes you'll even see Batman with different costumes in two comics published in the same month. And like I said, Tom King brought them back because he's a retard that thinks this earns him bonus points with the plebeians(worked for you, I see).
Regardless, the same point can be used against you, if they work so well, how come they always end up changing to trunkless after some time? How come they haven't been used in live action since the (comedic) 60s tv show?

Post your collection

I'm not a collector. Growing up I bought them then resold them.

Lol, calm down faggot. Did someone wearing trunks rape you as a kid? It's just a comic book for fucks sake.

You sound extremely mad. And stupid. If you got so btfo you could've just closed the tab instead of sperging out like that.

Lol, calm down. Why are you so filled with hate because someone has a different opinion and/or taste than you? Just know that every time you get your way the trunks will come back. They'll always be there, waiting for the company to come to its senses and go with what works. I will always be here to rub your smug face it every time.

These two retards aside, how do you think they should do the eyes? Personally I like the idea of the cowl having a little hologram projector thing built in that emits data directly to the eye kinda like Tony Starks hud and the side effect causes the iris/pupil to go completely white. There's this fan film with Nightwing that does it can't remember their name but he gets his mask damaged and one of his eyes loses the sheen while the other still has it all white.

This didn't star out as "le opinions xD", you made your stupid point about how it's """iconic""" which is a sheepish non argument.
What I don't get is why you get so mad when someone points out the fact that you're an idiot and why you think someone has to get worked up to call a guy an idiot.

Genuine question, how come you dcfags get so passionate about discussing if a character should or shouldn't wear his underwear over his pants? What's the obsession with the underwear over the pants anyway?

>How come they haven't been used in live action since the (comedic) 60s tv show?

Its not like the live action batman suits have been particularly beloved. The 89/Returns suit is, but the Batman Forever/ &Robin suits are widely hated and ridiculed. The Begins suit is largely forgotten. The TDK suit has a fans I guess, but I don't think its some timeless iconic suit. People seem split on the Affleck suits , with a lot of people loving them but others calling them fat. You know what always gets a big positive reaction though? those fan suits like batman Dead end and that porno from a few years ago.

The movies are bigger than the comics and most people don't have a problem with any of the suits except for the nipple ones.

Lol, calm down guy. At the end of the day it's just comics. There are better things to spend your time on. Maybe go outside, or read a book without pictures? How about going somewhere frequented by the opposite, or more likely in your case same, sex? I don't care if you're gay, you do you boo. Meanwhile I'll take solace knowing that the most iconic versions of characters will always win out over your faggy "modern" redesigns.

I just enjoy needling the anti-trunks crowd.

>You know what always gets a big positive reaction though? those fan suits like batman Dead end and that porno from a few years ago.
You're delusional, just because a few faggots on Yea Forums obsess about those. The Dead End suit looks like cheap cosplay and the porn suit is just photoshop and lighting to make it look good for that one picture, it looks terrible in motion.

The 89 suit works because it's part of an overall aesthetic. The entire Burton film is an insular world with its own inherent design theory. The 89 suit works within the context of THAT world but not so much in other media (like Troika).

Sorry, buddy, but more people watch the movies than read the comics. You seem really butt rustled though.

>but more people watch the movies than read the comics
Not an argument. Try again.

I would love this, something like less a costume and more of a spooky/surreal silhouette

It's not an argument, it's a fact.

>Assuming that this is a much earlier Batman, I don't expect him to be as comfortable at the job and therefore more cautious. For that reason, I think he would adopt a bulkier Batsuit in the film
I hate this train of thought when it comes to batsuits.

Simply because more people consume a particular medium does not mean that the version presented in said medium has more artistic value than another.

He wont be Bruce, Warner will push Terry and call Keaton to Work as Old man bats.

Attached: 135125.gif (500x375, 947K)

> faggy "modern" redesigns
Trunkless can be called a classic design since there's been versions of the suit without them pre-n52, I think somewhere in the 80's there was a run without the trunks.

It does if we use your argument that because the trunks are used more in the comics they're better and """iconic""", there's always a bigger fish and in this case it's the movie industry.

Sold

No, don't misrepresent what I said. I'm saying that the core design has been in place longer, and it always returns despite attempts to change it. If the trunksless version was better, that would not happen.

>there was a run without the trunks
The only time I'm aware of is Troika and that was 4 issues in the 90s post-Knightfall.

And in live action, the core design is trunksless and.

The cool part of the Arkham Knight suit is the chest armor is actually two pieces that articulate independently so if gives him more maneuverability

You could be right I'd have to really go looking for it to find it.

There is only one core design, and that is the one in the comics. There has not been a consistent design in the films. Each film's suit is different, so you cannot say there is a "core" design for live action, unless you go back to the 60s where the design was consistent, and ta-da! had trunks.

I would be interested to see it. DC was pretty uptight about character designs for the main eventers during that period.

There's been one consistent thing in the movies though, no trunks.

He fits more as Terry than Bruce.
>youtube.com/watch?v=xnfYzv5fW5o
>youtube.com/watch?v=E8rQmyq1Mgc

the problem is that Warner probably has a beef with with Tim Burton for never touching his movies.

Clooney and Bale's codpieces are clearly influenced by the trunks.

>You're delusional, just because a few faggots on Yea Forums obsess about those.

Dude people have been going crazy over the dead end suit since before Yea Forums.

How should the Riddler look? Leotard or three piece green suit? With or without question marks sewed into the jacket?

Are you drunk?

Are you?

LEft when he's still fairly sane, right when he's gone total bonkers after years of losses. No question marks on the suit.

I think both have their place.

No.

BvS Batfleck could turn his neck, JL Batfleck couldn't since the costume designer changed

Leotard, it's the iconic look.

Okay then.

>it's the iconic look.
That's a sheepish nonargument.

Left would be visually distinct while also being both dapper as fuck and appropriately flamboyant. Emerald suits are a bold choice, but can be pulled off well.

Well done lad

Still can't believe he's wearing a mask from a guy who recasts halloween 89 masks.

Fuck you faggot, did you get raped by a man in a leotard or something?

What book are these from?

Yes actually. It was extremely traumatic. I haven't been back to the ballet or circus since.

lmao well keep your traumatic fag experiences to yourself.

Lol calm down friend.

Don't worry I'm not wearing a leotard and I won't rape you.

Thank god.

Attached: 2cpieq.jpg (500x1061, 137K)

Adam west had a movie dude. And Superman movies worked just fine with trunks all the way up to MoS. In fact, I actually like the Superman Returns suit better than the MoS suit. Literally the only complaint about it is the S shield not being big enough for my taste

If you don't mind me asking, what were you thinking? While I can kinda see him starting with a cloth costume, assuming he's green he is going to get wrecked a fair amount and that lack of armor is only going to compound everything tenfold. Then again, going the full Arkham Origins route might not be the best idea but I can see it being a transition piece from the prior suit. After realizing the heavy armor slows him down, he then decides to go for something closer to the Base Arkham Series Suit. The one thing I absolutely despise though is the ears are much too large for my liking.

I think the biggest weakness of the Arkham Knight suit is that because so many large pieces have been swapped for interconnected plates, it makes him especially susceptible to concentrated fire when dealt by a skilled marksman. For someone that knows what they are doing, he just became significantly more vulnerable (except the bat symbol, that is apparently the most heavily armored).

Attached: image (1).jpg (1920x1080, 163K)

I watched the living fuck out of the Adam West movie as a kid.

Add these together and make the belt yellow.

There you go, it's perfect.

Also do this,
Armor is stupid. Just say the fibers of the suit are like kevlar or some shit.

I still watch it regularly man. Get stoned, watch that and then B&R. Good times, always entertaining.

We have a winner gentlemen

>Sometimes... you just can't get rid of a bomb!
BTW, what are your thoughts on the Batgirl/Robin Year One designs? I though the look of Batman's world in those books was both an homage and update of the West aesthetic.

I want him to change costume every scene. Have fun with it. Maybe some past costumes. Give him a prototype of Terry's

Attached: batmanrobw1-6cvr.jpg (2959x746, 1.13M)

Why didn't Bruce Wayne become an artist? These drawings are good.

He could also become a engineer, doctor or a teacher of 15 different languages.

and I miss those dumb clickbait covers lol I heard that they were coming back tho

For an animated series, absolutely. I say fucking go for it. He certainly has the wardrobe to pull that off.

I'm revising Snyder's run on Dickbats and I gotta say, Batman be looking fly as fuck in these issues. Jock made him look scary yet still Dick which is not something easy to do.

Attached: Batman - The Black Mirror-055.jpg (1987x3056, 566K)

Spiderman's suit in the Sam Raimi and Marc Webb films do not constantly have a CGI use and look great when given up close up shots

I loved those designs, and I also loved New Frontier for doing similar. I love how Bruce changes from the original costume to a West style costume so he doesn't scare children anymore. And adopting Robin adds to that too.

Batman: Knight Gallery. An artbook for unused designs and a companion piece to the Elseworld stories Brotherhood of the Bat and League of Batmen.

Attached: 1556386492305.png (1920x1090, 1.13M)

Left with purple frame glasses, and his goons wear the jumpsuit

I'm fine with a couple alt suits like a proto-Beyond suit for a specific high tech stealth mission, or maybe a diving suit for a water scene if there's time. But I want him in the standard suit mostly.

Only thing Affleck's version of Batman got right was the suit. For the most part. Had an actual grey body without being overly detailed. Shouldn't have been based on a the Dark Knight Returns version though. In my head though the closest thing to a comic suit I'd imagine seeing on film would be something like the Noel suit. It's simple but has enough of a "realistic" look to it that Hollywood execs will feel safe with.

Attached: hr_p1smmdc-04ex_a.jpg (1414x2000, 379K)

Affleck's Batman got nearly everything right

>inb4 HUR DURR WHITE EYES DONT WORK IRL

This works perfectly

>The autist that always posts that opinion has basically been btfo'd most of the thread.

>Feels good.

Now for the anti-trunks fags to get over themselves

thats because it works on full mask, it looks stupid with cowls or domino mask because the actors have to emote and eyes are key.

Batman doesn't need to emote with his fucking eyes dude.

Also Holland Spiderman is allowed to have moving emotive white eyes in live action written off as high tech vision aids but Batman can't have something similar? Wack.

See:

It works within the context of the film. I wouldn't want to see it in other media though.

You want to cgi his eyes and make them, essentially, the mask move?

As a Marvelfag it is so fun to watch, I don't even have to engage in company wars because they just keep fighting eachother. Silly thing too, you don't see us demanding Captain America wear his underwear over his pants.

Maybe whoever they cast could take a page from Peter Weller 30 fucking years ago and learn to emote with their eyes covered.

Except not emoting was part of his character and then at the end he takes his helmet off.

Personally, as long as it's not black and isn't armor I'll probably be happy. Those are the most important parts, for me.

Detail-wise, I'd prefer the white eyes/lenses but done like the Arkham games: they're retractable and only visible at certain times (when using Detective Mode or some kind of HUD).
I'd also like it if the cape draped over the shoulders, ideally covering the whole body when walking.

Aside from that, I think taking a little inspiration from the Rebirth suit could help it stand out from previous live action suits, particularly with the purple in the cape and the yellow outline around the bat and utility belt.
