>A billion tie-ins
Why do they always do this?

To sell paper to whales.
but whales eat fish...
I'll give you three guesses, OP.
People who annoy you
What's the plot of this, anyway? Is Cletus possessed by Knull?
>Lee Price is fucking dead
Finally. Based Carnage.
All the tie-ins are one-shots taking place outside of the current ongoings. None of the books are being interrupted, which is more than you can say for War of Realms.
Hopefully, he narrative won't be too split across all the tie ins. The core book should be the only book anyone should have to read, but I'd be fine if Venom and ASM become necessary as well.
More books=More $$$$
I mean.... Carnage looks really cool.
Venom and ASM don't have the Absolute Carnage tie-in moniker, but they're still part of the event, so who knows how required they are.
I like that SpOck is staying right the fuck away though.
I really don't get why Carnage is so popular.
>You're gonna read this event and YOU'RE GONNA LIKE IT GODDAMNIT
If they didn't 90% of the readers would completely skip the event, by forcing the event into the story of their favorite books the readers might just pick up the main book
Would you really say he's popular?
He had his debut in the early 90s, Maximum Carnage was his second story, then he had 3 or 4 much smaller arcs until 1999 where he never really appeared afterwards. He got unceremoniously ripped in half and killed off for nearly a decade. When he came back, he was relegated to his own mini-series.
Aside from Axis where he played a tiny role, he hasn't shown up in another characters books since the turn of the millennium. For all intents and purposes, this new event is the first time he's done ANYTHING noteworthy that wasn't a Carnage solo book since Maximum Carnage in 1994. It'll be the first time he's graced the pages of Amazing Spider-Man in nearly 20 years (Red Goblin absolutely does not count.)
Even then, the only reason this is happening is to make sure he's nice and relevant for Venom 2 next year.
No, he basically got revived by a piece of the symbiote dragon and is now hunting for people who have worn a symbiote to try to free Knull from Klynthar
I always wonder, who actually buys/reads all these fucking tie-ins? They're never essential, and rarely any good
sjws killed the industry so they got nothing else left to make money
god I hate spider-people so much.
they make me want to give up on Peter Parker as well since I canĀ“t stand him having to team up with those horrible copy cats
>Abcolute Carnage: Symbiote Spider-Man
>Absolute Carnage: Ghost Rider - Symbiote of Vengance
Wut
I dare you to say that exact sentence to someone who doesn't read comics.
Oh it's (you) again. Still crying over Black Cat covering her tits?
excuse you
This shitshow better end with Flash coming back from the dead, reclaiming Venom and putting Cletus down once and for all in a rematch we've been waiting since Carnage USA and Minimum Carnage.
>Axis where he played a tiny role
Axis was the best thing that happened to him and Carnage-man should have been permanent
>yfw it's Pajeet Flash from Homecoming for that sweet, sweet Synergy
>Going after everyone who's ever worn a symbiote
My girl.
She's in danger.
Okay let me put it up like this:
>Eddie fights a dragon made out of symbiotes and wins, but is heavily damaged in the process
>The remains of the symbiote dragon (and Eddie) are taken in by Maker working for some shady organization (We don't know who they are yet)
>The remains are later stolen by a cult devoted to reawaken Knull, and they have acquired Cletus' corpse (which had crash landed into earth following Venomized, another symbiote event)
>They "fuse" the symbiote remains with the corpse and Cletus get resurrected, and is more powerful than before
>He wants more power, and thinks reawakening Knull should do the trick
>To reawaken Knull, he needs to feed on "codexes" from people who have worn a symbiote (there are a lot of them) to try to become powerful enough to do it
>And so begins his quest to kill alot of people
If you are still confused, then you are better off reading the current Venom series till Issue 8 and then the Carnage Born One-Shot (and the FCBD Prolouge)
I swear to God if Cletus gets sidelined for Knull in this event....
>Absolute Carnage: Symbiote Spider-Man
Wasn't symbiote Spider-man it's self a non-cannon what if ongoing
I'm thinking we get a Knull event sometime next year involving cosmic books since Cates is in control of that.
No its supposed to be set during the original 80s Alien Costume Saga. But it is riddled with continuity errors. So you can safely disregard it entirely.
Also, its a pretty shit story on its own.
Wow good thing I don't care that much about Venom.
Completely unrelated, but I cannit fathom how Carnage still lives.
After Carnage USA, I cannot believe that Wolverine didn't decaputate him. Even Captain America. He watched as Carnage killed pretty much a whole town. Captain America killed Nazis for less. I am honestly surprised no one pulled a Magog on his ass.
Carnage has survived complete head removal.
I think there's a scene in Minimum Carnage where he gets decapitated and either reattaches the head or grows a new body from it.
