So wtf is this event supposed to be about?
Do we not know anything other than these few promos and covers?
So wtf is this event supposed to be about?
no, not really.
I think mutants will fuck off to another island/planet/dimension. Maybe repopulate their newly discovered home place
No time travel or alt worlds.
How is Xavier crossing his legs?
He can walk again.
I like how this is the question and not "when did Xavier come back to life"? Yea Forums loves reading comics
I'm hoping the portal from the preview is them doing an exodus to somewhere like the Savage Land and not leaving Earth.
Xavier died or faked his death more than i can remember. Fucker is the Kenny of marvel universe
Xavier reads Moira mind and apparently it's something "that will change everything"
take your bets on what it is
Xavier comes back to life all the fucking time.
You have to presume Marvel is going to try to rebuild the X-Men's place and standing both within Marvel and comics as a whole.
The X-Men franchise used to be about the same size and sales as DC by itself (don't fucking come at me with your salt, casuals; check Comichron and learn something) and that more or less fell off a cliff after House of M.
Hickman has detractors and flaws, but he's a good choice here to rebuild the empire, clean up "what mutants are" and their place in "evolution" and restore them to their rightful places as a feared replacement for flatscans.
If he can make Fantastic 4 a top selling book...
Proteus, or another of their children, has been suppressing mutants since M-Day.
i guess this is a good place to ask since it's a thread about hickman comics
Currently reading The Avengers and New Avengers
Not sure if brainlet question but do they both take place in the same universe?
That art is so good.
Yes. Just follow the reading order.
>Comichron
Pfffhahaha
It's Jonathan Hickman - it will probably involve a great epic with multiple angles/teams exploring weird stuff that will only make moderate sense until several big revelations are made later in the series.
>Two Wolverine
>Two Storm
>Two Jean
They are preparing the X-Men for MCU
Expect more conservative new suits, lots of SJW, and de-characterization of your favorite mutants
Everything to line up with the MCU
>If he can make Fantastic 4 a top selling book...
That is kind of ignoring the fact that for FF and Avengers that he was building on the momentum of his predecessors on those books. For the x-books he doesn't have, instead he is starting from rock bottom due to Marvel's mishandling of X-Men. It remains to be seen if the x-books can recover or instead they become obsolete like Legion of Super Heroes and Teen Titans.
Even when Harras screwed with the x-book and let idiots like Jim Lee and Lobdell do what they wanted the books still sold. Meanwhile the sales situation now is not so good compared to the 90s and 00s periods back when you still had the Marvel Zombie Demographic (that have since aged out).
Only one Jean. The Phoenix one is Rachel.
Growing plants or some shit.
Mutants are the original, humans are actually the mutants.
I hate to be that guy, but most of what you read in Avengers and New Avengers is pretty meaningless in the end, so just enjoy it.
You're dumb as fuck, they explicitly have access to all their old costumes.
Arnt there three wolivies? Isnt that a third one behind cyclops in his garbage no shirt / leather jacket costume?
Also, did Magik combine with colosus or something? Or is this an unknown?
You know Hickman is going to fuck up details like how Crystal forgot she had a daughter.
Shut up
Unknown, on a just solicits variant she's referred to as "New Character"
I really think this looks like a big ball of confusion. Colossus, Kitty and Magik are now one character, Havok is now a baby, multiples of the same characters...I really don't know what he's thinking, but it looks like X-Men is going to get even more confusing.
>It's an autist is deeply troubled by not immediately understanding a purposefully mysterious teaser
It's gonna be ok. You're gonna be ok. If not, we'll always have Rosenberg.
>Not sure if brainlet question but do they both take place in the same universe?
Yes. Why wouldn't they?
New character we don'z know anything about yet. Some anons were speculating that she is some alternative universe daughter of Colossus and Kitty, because she apparently had phasing powers in some preview.
Either way I like the design. Looks cool.
>we'll always have Rosenberg.
FUCK THAT FAGGOT!
>Hickman has detractors and flaws, but he's a good choice here to rebuild the empire
The thing about Hickman is: he's an IDEA GUY, but often times he gets so far up his own ass that it's a chore to slog through all the layers and setup to get to the Big Payoff.
I loved Secret Wars, but completely ignored Infinity and most of his Avengers run because I found it slow and dull.
Thankfully they seem to be making him a sortov Not Line Editor where he's writing a few books but overseeing the whole X-Line and that 10,000 foot overview is something that's been sorely lacking for at least the last decade.
>Xavier comes back to life all the fucking time.
Yeah: he also hops in and out of the wheelchair like bald Jack-in-the-Box in the comics.
That'd be kino
She is a mash-up of Colossus, Magik and Mirage.
I kinda want to fuck Moira McTaggert now
Every human has an X-Gene but most are dormant. You can activate those dormant genes.
You think Hickman will adress the morlocks or the different mutant groups like X-Factor, X-Force or X-Statix?
I just want a fucking X-Harem starring either Kurt or Scott.
Who's not Juggernaut next to Bishop?
Nimrod
No, he will address sentinels and existentialism
X-Statix adressed existentialism too.
Didn't Proteus died in that Necrosha event?
>Prof X is alive
