I'm ashamed to admit I've never read the comic, but this looks entertaining.

How's the comic?

>I'm ashamed to admit I've never read the comic

I dont think anyone really has read the comic

i literally jsut had to google what its about
ive never even got wind of this comic

I think DC just went into its vault and saw what property they have that they could make a woke-ish movie about

They will just milk the Melissa Mccarthy & that Handmaid tale actress casting for some woke creds

>not wanting one of those mob ladies to sit on your face while you slowly suffocate and call em' Daddy
What's wrong with you OP?

So DC just WANTS everyone to hate them at this point

>the kitchen
Never heard of it, not sure why people are getting triggered about it though. is it /pol/ shit?

the casting is definitely /pol/ shit

Yes the only people bitching about it are /pol/, the movie looks pretty unique and I’m hoping for something in the vein of Road to Perdition and History of Violence

So DC's new plan is to just make shitty ripoffs of good movies and slap their logo on it?
youtube.com/watch?v=nN2yBBSRC78

Thats hollywood in general.

>muh /pol/
literally everytime

Glad to see Common isn't being wasted as another Hunka Hunka in this. Looks good

It's almost like people bitching about politics on the wrong board is a recurring issue...

>Melissa Mcarthy
Personally, I cannot think of one show where she made me laugh.

I mean, she was adequate on King of Queens, but that was a bottom of the barrel sitcom. Film wise? Drawing a blank.

But again, I also don't find Steve Martin funny. I mean, I get why people think he's funny, but he just doesn't hit my funny bone. So I assume Melissa is funny to other people.

And Ive never seen her in a semiserious dramatic role, maybe she won't be shit that way.

What I'm saying is, I don t know what this show is, and I'll give it the old 3 episode try before I call shitnaneggans.

I'm betting on terrible though

It's a movie

I thought she was funny in Spy, The Heat, Bridesmaids, and Life of the Party

She got a Best Actress Oscar nom for Can You Ever Forgive Me, although I haven't seen it

Do they team up to try and kill the Punisher?

Is this secretly a Punisher film?

Do I get to watch Jon Bernthal kill Melissa Mccarthy?

It could be bigger than Endgame.

>try to google marvel the kitchen

how did you miss the dc logo?

this won't be flop, it'll be a mega flop

Wait. This isn't about Hell's kitchen? Where Daredevil chills?

This level of stupid belongs on Yea Forums

Shame on you for bringing it here

>Mob hears there are some amateurs moving into their business
>Sends one guy over to their house and wacks them
How can this story even be a thing?

It's not the stupidest mistake I have seen here.

it's a Vertigo comic you fucking idiots

Attached: The_Kitchen_1_Variant.jpg (975x1517, 106K)

Yes, it's written in the trailer, everyone has eyes, no one cares.

They both have it because Hell's Kitchen is a real place STOP BEING STUPID

>Never heard of it, not sure why people are getting triggered about it though. is it /pol/ shit?
I never heard of it either, but going through those three lead characters I looked each up and took some notes after refreshing my memory on who each was:
>Melissa McCarthy (fat ghostbusters remake cunt)
>Tiffany Haddish (literally who)
>Elisabeth Moss (obnoxious "look at me I'm being oppressed" handmaid's tale whore)
So that'd be why. Last one really rustles my jimmies in particular. Handmaid's Tale is just such a shitty, transparent attempt at women rebranding their submission fetish as some sort of "dystopian nightmare" where women in that society ironically get way more focus and attention than they ever would in the real world. Because even with negative attention it's still an (unintentional) wish fulfillment fantasy about them being the center of the universe.

Attached: future_handmaid_promo.jpg (650x400, 202K)

>everyone has eyes

>actually look hot
>Hollywood hires lardasses and otherwise ugly women
The comic may have it's merits, I wouldn't know, but the movie will be another forgettable samey McCarthy vehicle in the end.

Is that the loud cunt from every early 00s female comedy?

Never read the comic but this movie is a no on that alone?

...You understand that Moss didn't write her scripts right? she's just an actress that was given line that were written by somebody else.

>Is that the loud cunt from every early 00s female comedy?
Melissa McCarthy? No, she was in that stupid all female Ghostbusters movie.

They choose this literal who out of all the Vertigo titles

It won't be a comedy though, and if we judge just from the trailers alone, her acting is at the very least convincing.

Well A) is someone forcing her to participate in that role and B) how does her not writing her own scripts make her any less obnoxious to look at? You can be blameless while still being an annoying thing to have to look at in a TV show.

Looks like shit.

Losers flopped and the only other big post-90s titles is scalped and Preacher. Pretty sure both are TV shows.

Scalped got a pilot but didn't get picked up. Never saw it, don't know if it's out there.

Can't imagine the budget being sky high enough for it to be a mega flop. We're not talking blockbuster territory. Not sure it'll find an audience but still I'd imagine the budget is pretty modest. Well, besides paying Melissa in how many tons of Doritos she requires.

The same was said about GoTG. I'm not saying that this will have the same success, but it proves that relatively unknown products can be profitable.

it's company wars. this could make a trillion and he'll still call it a mega-flop (see people who insist aquaman is a flop).

people complain when the same properties get used again but people still complain when the obscure ones get used. is there no middle ground?

That sucks, given the right team, scalped would be a good TV series.

I'm trying to think of any other worth while vertigo comics.

DMZ maybe?

>it's company wars.
No it isn't. You're really out of touch with reality if you think it being a DC production is what makes people have a bad reaction to this. Do you seriously think people are responding to this the same way they are to the new Swamp Thing show? What the fuck is wrong with your brain?

"GotG is obscure even among comics fans" was the normiest take ever. Anyone with half a brain with any interest in Big Two comics was reading Annihilation in 2006 instead of losing brain cells with Civil War.

>Different people have different preferences
Woah, really makes me think.

Attached: disabled.png (638x359, 247K)

>but it proves that relatively unknown products can be profitable.

Attached: 2547431-billybatson.jpg (316x324, 24K)

Aquaman to an extent, Disney's marketing of their Captain Marvel did business, hell even Shazam that was in legal hell for years turned a profit. Antman, and the list goes on and on. But they had capeshit in common. This probably should be compared with other indie-ish "graphic novel" fare that were turned into a motion picture.

Honeslty, it's better to do that than just make random change to an existing franchise.

This looks good as hell

Isn't "Hell's kitchen" a term reserved for Marvel ?
What is there to hate, there ?

Not everyone’s racist like you

You think Hell's Kitchen is something Marvel made up? I am actually the only person on this board older than like 13, aren't I?

>This looks good as hell
b8

>Isn't "Hell's kitchen" a term reserved for Marvel ?
This board is amazing.

Yeah, I'm sure mobsters in the 70s were really "open minded". You had Irish lads fucking Italian gals and everyone was a big happy familia... I mean, if it's one thing Mobs are known for, is that they're absolutely not tribalistic or territorial!

>Personally, I cannot think of one show where she made me laugh.
Gilmore Girls

Rule #0 on the internet: /pol/ is always right. Always. Even when it's wrong, it's right.

Well time for a storytime. Let's read this comic. It's only 8 issues and looking at the writer I imagine it's one of those schemes to make a comic that could be turned into a screenplay deals.

Attached: The Kitchen (2014-2015)-000.jpg (1987x3056, 1.58M)

>You mean to tell me the top dogs of that area's Irish Mob couldn't do better than /them/?
Your mistress is the hot young girl, user, not your wife.

If you're a mobster, a beautiful wife just means trouble.

One big problem right of the bat is very much a lack of proper character motivation between the wives.

Attached: The Kitchen (2014-2015)-005.jpg (1988x3056, 1.57M)

Yeah man, I'm sure this series is all about how easy it is for them to accomplish all this, and how they just slide into the open-minded and accepting mob world of the time. The show will definitely portray the time period and mobsters as happy, non-tribalistic people that aren't racist and sexist. You're absolutely smart as hell, dude.

I am simply not American. Marvel comics is the only time I have ever entered in contact with the term. I did recognise the DC logo, though. Hence my question.

i have no idea i cant even stop doing it anymore it just happens

Hell's Kitchen is a real place in Manhattan which is in New York it's also a tv show

I know this feeling. When you look at the adapted work and you say how? How do you bungle something so badly. Just to show off your progressiveness and wokeness? It makes it any other movie then and the title and story irrelevant. I shudder now when I hear any comic is going to be made into a movie/show because I know it's going to be a casting freakshow with the most generic writing.

>it's also a tv show
Never got to my country.

Attached: The Kitchen (2014-2015)-007.jpg (1988x3056, 2.22M)

Why though?

It's a real place but gentrified as fuck at this point so it hardly resembles what you might see in a comic these days

>>something looks bad
How does it look bad ?

they think everyone that doesn't like what they like is /pol/ I guess

No, I mean why do you think it looks bad?

Attached: The Kitchen (2014-2015)-008.jpg (1988x3056, 2.39M)

>You think Hell's Kitchen is something Marvel made up? I am actually the only person on this board older than like 13, aren't I?
Not him, but I'm 32 and the only "Hell's Kitchen" I knew about before looking at this thread was that TV show I don't watch with that chef who yells at people. It's not that weird to not know about some US neighborhood with historical significance to Irish-Americans. It's probably more weird I didn't know about it being a popular location for Marvel stories, but I've never liked Marvel much.

They're mobsters user, they have trophy wives. You can have a hot wife and a hot sidepiece, you know. Which is what mobsters do. Their husbands were supposed to be hotshots.
...Not the point, you mongoloid. An Irish Mobster, in the 70s, does not marry a negress. Even if he's fucked in the head and has some Jungle Fever shit, he keeps her as a sidepiece, because he's an Irish Mobster, and he definitely doesn't want to be embarassed in front of the Family or have Mutt kids. What the hell is hard to grasp about this?
>Just to show off your progressiveness and wokeness?
Mostly, yeah. I mean, look at Good Omens. God's a woman, Pepper's a Mutt (I'm sure it must be really hard to find gingers in Britain...) and Adam & Eve are black.

the main actresses aren't exactly doing a good job but it might be the terrible dialogue. I've also seen this idea done plenty of times and there isn't even a unique spin on it, mob wife taking revenge or taking over the family isn't some new ground breaking concept
it simply looks uninspired, bland and overall a complete bore

>I've also seen this idea done plenty of times
It's an adaptation of an existing comic, user.

That's Yea Forums for you. This barely even looks like a comic book anything, but the fact it's WIMMENS in it we gotta go /pol/ on it. How expected. This doesn't even look bad. At the very least it doesn't look obnoxious. Well at least it doesn't if you're not one of those faggots who lose their shit whenever women are shown to be anything other than prizes to be won. Honestly, the biggest issue I see with this is wasn't there a movie that was essentially the exact same plot? Wives of mafia people turn hard and are forced to do crime to make ends meet.

and? it's still an idea that's been done to death and it looks like this movie will do nothing new with the concept

>anyone who dislikes something with women must be /pol/
you do know women aren't perfect and can be in bad movies.

>and? it's still an idea that's been done to death
You don't complain about "It has been done" when it's an adaptation. It's like complaining the sky is blue.

>set in 70s
>I see a red door starts playing

Anyone has read the comic and can tell me what's the explanation for them just not getting immediately shot in the face and dumped in a shallow grave in a Long Island junkyard?

>it can't be criticized because it's an adaption
are you retarded? The source material is probably also a generic and been done to death story
some people don't think this looks good get over it

Same age as you, grew up in NYC. I never heard anyone mention Hell's Kitchen outside of Daredevil. I'm sure the name was in popular use at one point, but it hasn't been for a very long time.

What do people call the neighborhood now?

>>it can't be criticized because it's an adaption
Don't make me say what I didn't say. It's clear I meant "you can't make the specific complain of "it has been done before" when it comes to adaptation". I never said it made it critic-proof.
>The source material is probably also a generic:
Then critic the source material about it, not the adaptation. And actually verify when it was done first.

You tell him, Tumblr! Yass girl!

Attached: The Kitchen (2014-2015)-015.jpg (1988x3056, 3.31M)

Not him, but can you be even more obnoxious ?

Who are they marketing this to though and why emphasize DC? This seems like a movie for housewives who watch Netflix all day not your normal comic/superhero fanboys or fangirls.

It's more than likely he saw a thread about an ad for the show and that's what triggered him

Of course. But at the same time, not every movie or show or anything is garbage because it has a female lead. Man, honestly this trailer doesn't look amazing. But at the same time it doesn't look bad. It looks mediocre. But the amount of people in this thread shitting on it is something beyond what it deserves. The amount of energy people have posted on this in this very thread show it. It's just too easy to shit on women.

LEAVE YOUR TOXICNESS AT THE DOOR BEFORE YOU TRIGGER MY SAFE SPACE, INCEL

>Who are they marketing this to though
To fans of the OG comics and people who are into mob stories ?

>B-but one of them is black now!!!

So what, they even address it in the trailer. Do you really think interracial relationships didn't happen until blacked.com?
>But it's the Oirish mob!
Maybe she was his secret girlfriend until she got pregnant and the guy being super Catholic meant they ended up in a shotgun wedding, who fucking cares. It's hardly 100% unbelievable to a point of breaking up the entire story.

>toxic masculinity
That's not really fair. You can find an obnoxious cunt obnoxious without it being a masculinity thing.

Doubt it. A guy who read said it doesn't even resemble the comics.

Attached: The Kitchen (2014-2015)-016.jpg (1988x3056, 3.02M)

It's a crime movie that might have an audience, the DC thing just makes people go "oh, it's a comic adaptation?" that could give it slightly more press.

Really? That's interesting

Attached: MV5BMTg5MzExNDcwMF5BMl5BanBnXkFtZTgwMDAwMzAzNjM@._V1_.jpg (1013x1500, 382K)

>A guy who read said it doesn't even resemble the comics.
It's just a trailer.

Attached: The Kitchen (2014-2015)-017.jpg (1988x3056, 2.66M)

So who's working at WB in here? It's starting to become obvious.

History of violence barely has anything to do with the original comic beyond the basic set up either and that went to win an Oscar. Bruce Willis' Red is exactly the same, only the basic elevator pitch is the same, everything else is different. And in both examples it made for a better movie.

You can tell a lot from a trailer. And it's there to sell people on buying tickets so it better.

>You can tell a lot from a trailer.
Actually, no.

Yeah, but they were made years ago in different climates and lacked the cow bore that is Melissa McCarthy

Trailers often lie, especially if the marketing team doesn't know how to sell a movie. I.e. if the movie isn't exactly like 99% of other generic Hollywood movies.

So it's different because insecure dudes get triggered by a comic book movie about women.

Actually, yeah. Like the fact that I don't want to see it.

Attached: The Kitchen (2014-2015)-018.jpg (1988x3056, 2.24M)

and the comic's story has been done before so it is fair criticism
I haven't read the comic and don't plan to so i'm critiquing the movie

A trailer is not an indicator of the Movie's quality. that's a basic rule of thumb.

>is it /pol/ shit?
Just like every modern Yea Forums thread since at least 2011

It's different because no one asked for Melissa McCarthy past Ghostbusters, sjwanon.

>and the comic's story has been done before so it is fair criticism
That depend of when the comic was done.

>Same reach people haven't just shot Superman in the face with a kryptonite bullet I suppose.
Superman's been shot by kryptonite bullets on multiple occasions.
>Or a reason they haven't just used a speedster to kill Batman.
And this one goes back to that user's original question:
>Anyone has read the comic and can tell me what's the explanation for them just not getting immediately shot in the face and dumped in a shallow grave in a Long Island junkyard?
The difference between his question and your Batman example is these three women are apparently crossing powerful members of the mob in a way where said members have a clear incentive to do what he's talking about and just have them shot and killed immediately.
Do speedsters have a clear incentive to kill Batman? Do any of them operate out of Gotham? Would the consequences of killing Batman be worth it (e.g. Superman or the Flash coming after you later on, or screwing up the timelines in the event you tried killing Batman in the past)?
Also that scenario has at least been attempted before too (Reverse Flash trying to kill Batman). There are ways Batman could protect himself, and even if there weren't, there are other characters closely affiliated with Batman who could intervene.

>Seriously, your toxic masculinity is giving you brain damage.

Your b8 needs to be more subtle

Honestly I'd get this confused with the other film about the wives of convicts taking things for their own.

Like this is the third one I think?

a trailer is meant to advertise the movie, we are supposed to be interested by the movie based on it. If the trailer does a bad job at this then usually that means the movie sucks though there are exceptions.

Still doesn't look like anything outside of housewives who watch Netflix styled "entertainment" all day would want to see.

shut up incel, you just hate women. fuck /pol/ for making people hate this masterpiece

you know someone is posting the comic if you guy want to compare you can read it here.

Attached: The Kitchen (2014-2015)-019.jpg (1988x3056, 2.25M)

Except this isn't a generic comedy or a reboot of an old franchise, and McCarthy has proven chops for doing drama.

>Anyone has read the comic and can tell me what's the explanation for them just not getting immediately shot in the face and dumped in a shallow grave in a Long Island junkyard?
Sounds like this is the explanation:
>C'mon, with OUR husbands, who's gonna FUCK with US?

Attached: The Kitchen (2014-2015)-020.jpg (1988x3056, 2.6M)

when the fuck did she prove to have drama chops

Nah. I wouldn't even believe that coming from her agent's lips. Either way you can stop selling me on the movie. I'm never seeing it.

Attached: The Kitchen (2014-2015)-021.jpg (1988x3056, 2.55M)

It was a typo. He meant McCarthy has pork chops for doing drama, not proven chops. She insists on getting paid in pork chops.

Last year when she got nominated for a fucking oscar

Attached: Forgive.jpg (1008x515, 419K)

>a trailer is meant to advertise the movie,
A trailer is usually done by the producer instead of the movie maker, sometimes by people who don't truly care.

That's a bit of a stretch. The trailer is so straightforward I couldn't possibly mistake it for Widows. Even the premise is different, because here the women become crime bosses instead of being blackmailed to pay back stolen money.

Lady Gaga too.

Man this comic is very...bog standard even by miniseries standards. Reading it, I can feel the look at me make me a movie in it.

Attached: The Kitchen (2014-2015)-022.jpg (1988x3056, 2.38M)

>oscar
award shows only exist for hollywood to pat themselves on the back. They hold no merit

why are there so many anons desperately trying to defend this. Is it shills, tumblr or anons with shit taste

That's most miniseries these days. Graphic novels are essentially visualized pitches for studios. Which is fine as long as the story is interesting.

Attached: The Kitchen (2014-2015)-023.jpg (1988x3056, 2.58M)

It was an indy film. Indy films make no money anymore but are by default 100% better than capeshit. Any movie goer knows this,

Feels shillish more and more.

I know that but my god it kills me. I want comics to stand out as a medium not just be movie pitches the genre.

Attached: The Kitchen (2014-2015)-024.jpg (1988x3056, 2.44M)

>Can You Ever Forgive Me? grossed $150,000 from five theaters in its opening weekend. During its second weekend, it earned $380,000 from 25 theaters. It expanded to 180 theaters in its third week, making $1.08 million. The film grossed $1.5 million from 391 theaters in its fourth weekend. During its fifth weekend, it earned $880,000 from 555 theaters, bringing the total box office gross to over $5 million. During its 11th weekend in release the film crossed $7.5 million stateside.
Now fuck off back to Yea Forums and argue how box office totally isn't important when it comes to your godfuckingawful "kino"

The fact that you belive Indie automatically is better shows how much shit you don't know about that's indie.

Attached: The Kitchen (2014-2015)-025.jpg (1988x3056, 2.17M)

What is any of that meant to be an argument for?

>pretentious hipster shit thinks indy movies are somehow good
they are bottom of the barrel

Not so much defend as not understanding the hostility for something that hasn't really shown anything bad so far.

Attached: The Kitchen (2014-2015)-027.jpg (1988x3056, 2.1M)

I think it's something people here just aren't interested in. It's something you'll probably have to accept. No one is gonna stop you from buying your own ticket though when the time comes.

>hasn't really shown anything bad so far
the trailer was bad and since that's the only thing we know about the movie we can assume the movie is shit. At least until another trailer or the movie releases

I can't this film seriously because of Melissa Mccarthy. I start laughing when she's on the screen. Who told her that she could do dramatic roles.

Independent movies are the only place left with any originality and actual substance to them.

then why are they all the same thing over and over

>the trailer was bad
Not really.

>I think it's something people here just aren't interested in. Probably won't see it.
I am not interested in it either. that doesn't mean I find it bad or feel the need to bash it.

I disagree and will continue to think so

Something something nominated by something something circlejerk industry award show

>that doesn't mean I find it bad or feel the need to bash it.
but you feel the need to defend it

Well, maybe they found reasons for both.

Oh yeah, the entire academy just randomly decided to give McCarthy of all people a pat on the back for doing an independent ten mil movie by nominating her for best actress, one of the biggest awards in your entire career. Because that's just something that regularly happens.

>not understanding the hostility
It's the fat lady ghostbusters actress, the modern women's political protesting cosplay favorite handmaid's tale actress, and a forced diversity actress from who knows what, in a show premised around women being badass and taking over the mob. Everything about it was designed to provoke hostility. Their actual business model here was probably explicitly stated in one meeting or another as outrage mining.

They did Gaga and she's horseshit

I.e. men feel the need to assert their masculinity by shitting on a movie with leading women roles.

they did it with black panther, generic capeshit movie gets awards just because

>everyone who doesn't like this is sexist
gotta love that business model

Star is born was one of the biggest movies of the year just in profit alone. Made like ten times its budget. That nomination made sense.

>Not liking those actresses = not liking women
Last I checked the world population of women was some number greater than 3.

This. It's strategic at this point. If only we could see the emails.

>cast women as the stars
>claim anyone who doesn't like the movie just hates women
>continue to strawman all criticism
this didn't work for ghost busters so why do people think this will work for this movie

Profitability makes her a good actress, okay. Good to know you can buy the awards. Wow, prestigious!

All the arguments were just identity politics whining, we all know what you meant. You weren't exactly being subtle.

I forgot Ol Harv did that years ago

nigga people can scroll up and read the thread, cherry picking isn't going to save you

>I.e. men feel the need to assert their masculinity by shitting on a movie with leading women roles.
Now watch this faggot's head explode after trying to reconcile this belief with the fact everyone loved Kill Bill.

If Kill Bill was today people would whine YAAAS QUEEREN about it. Especially now that it's popular to shit on Tarantino.

>If reality were different I'd be right!
lol

I like how Bill's monologue about Superman makes Yea Forums's autism flair up

you live in your own little world don't you, please go back to your safe space tumblr

it still pisses me off, the writer knows nothing about superman and is just talking out his ass

People also used to like movies with black leading roles yet oddly all you hear now on this site is how it's SJW propaganda.

>I like how Bill's monologue about Superman makes Yea Forums's autism flair up
I always found that contingent of people who strongly disagree with Bill's take on Superman a little weird. It's not even necessarily something Quentin Tarantino was claiming given that Bill was the villain. And it also wasn't a bad argument in general, although I'll also say it's plenty debatable. Was pretty neat as a storytelling device to show how Bill's mind worked with the topic of Beatrix and her trying to leave the killing business.

almost like they stopped trying to make good movies and lean on diversity as a way to deflect criticism

Comic fans are kinda autistic if you hadn't noticed.

>People also used to like movies with black leading roles yet oddly all you hear now on this site is how it's SJW propaganda.
That's wrong. Nobody thought Glass was going to be SJW propaganda.

Asking why you hate something isn't the same as defending it.

They definitely did but not because of Mr. Glass

Nah she went full feminazi and throws that bullshit in a lot of interviews

She even goes to the extent of saying something on the lines of "I am not gonna let somebody else use my face for success so I demanded to be an executive producer" or some shit like that

What gave it away sherlock?

Didn’t they make this movie last year? Widows? Also, this was a comic?

>it still pisses me off, the writer knows nothing about superman and is just talking out his ass
Nah, that's bullshit. Bill's point was fine and not at all too out there as far as interpretations go. Just take the glasses for example. You can't deny Superman has no need for what's really a medical aid to treat a physical frailty (poor eyesight). When he wears glasses, it's not because that's who he is. It's because that's part of a disguise.
Or his meekness. A confident person can successfully pretend to be awkward or shy. It doesn't work too well the other way around, by definition, since much like with poor eyesight being anxious or graceless is an infirmity of sorts. You definitely can pretend to be less composed than you are, but it's a lot harder to pretend to be more composed than you are.
And along those same lines you have clumsiness. If Superman were genuinely clumsy people would die from it. You almost necessarily have to assume in any given moment that Superman is operating from a place of extreme control and carefulness. He can pretend to be clumsy as part of a disguise, but he couldn't be the other way around (clumsy and just pretending not to be while disguised as Superman).
Now does all this mean he doesn't love Ma and Pa Kent and wasn't raised with the name Clark in a small rural town on a humble farm with good old fashioned Midwestern human values? Of course not. The point is that Superman isn't really weak, or timid, or awkward, or nearsighted, or suffering from bad posture, or prone to accidents, etc. Everything that he does as "Clark" that isn't really true for who he is can be read as his idea of the difference between what he's hiding (himself as a superhuman Kryptonian) and what the rest of the world is like (human).

Completely different premise, unless your only point of reference is wives of criminals.

Trailer was alright, I liked the use of the 70s WB logo
still waiting for that 100 bullets movie that never happens

DC doesn't have original ideas

these movies rarely make money and depend on the blockbusters to cover their costs
that's why the blockbusters are called "tentpole movies"

yeah not like a trailer is a preview of the fucking movie or anything

People who make the trailers are often not the people who make the movie.

keep posting user

but Clark is his true personality, it's who he was before getting super powers. Just because he can continue to pretend to be who he was before his powers doesn't mean he's an entirely new person

I'm rather curious to see if Melissa can do drama. I like her.

And hey, Paint It Black.

Bill made some good points about superman and clark kent as a casual. You are not supposed to take it as some comic book buff

ya I get that after reading your post but I still don't like how it frames superman

Bill is talking about the public persona of clark kent, not Kal-el Clark kent which he truly is

>I like her.

I expect nothing less from a tripfag

>but Clark is his true personality, it's who he was before getting super powers.
He had superpowers from infancy in the original stories. Which makes a lot more sense. Why would he be like a human for years and then suddenly have powers kick in? It's not like he had a puberty triggered mutation or a radioactive spiderbite or something.
>ya I get that after reading your post
I think you're confusing two different anons.
>but I still don't like how it frames superman
So because you don't like it it's wrong?

>I'm rather curious to see if Melissa can do drama.

And who does? Disney? Live action remake number 429 coming your way

I'm rather curious to see if Melissa can actually eat just one
