why is this ship so popular

Slim pickings

wait till season 3 and we get Xadia Water Elf Jackie

The only person I ship Rayla with is myself

but Claudia is Jackie

Claudia is Ty-Lee Janna

It's Klance for the Heterosexuals

Just like Catradora is Klance for the Lesbians

What's Klance?

what is klance and what is it's appeal, I never got into voltron

Because of how often they open up to each other and confide in one another. Ask yourself, what other cartoon has a scene like Callum forgiving Rayla for not telling him about his father's death; because he understands how difficult it was for her or a scene like the one where they were in a rainstorm together. These scenes are moody and convey a sense of a growing bond.
Bubbline never had this. Korrasami never had this. Starco never had this. So, there's a real lack of supply for a demand that most people don't know they have.

shit, I think your on to something user

Garden variety ship baiting. The red and blue pilot are two opposites, who constantly argue and that's enough for shippers to react to. The problem was that people working on the show would use twitter to promote Klance as an idea. So, you can imagine how that went; when the creators backed out.

Because Callum doesn't deserve to even look at Claudia.

Attached: 1502164798193.jpg (612x612, 23K)

cuz mage guy and assassin girl is the best formation

Attached: rayla eletricity.jpg (1280x720, 143K)

It's a good aesthetic.

Attached: 1550409210364.gif (437x720, 2.81M)

Claudia was Callum's boyhood crush. So, you're actually right. Just for the wrong reasons.
Callum has put Claudia on a pedestal and that puts him in a position where he'd never be good enough for her. It's not a relationship of romantic equals, it's a relationship where one has all the power and only because of boyhood fantasy.

this
human male and female elf is just icing on the cake

Attached: 1538180832811.jpg (2000x2600, 487K)

>human male and female elf is just icing on the cake
Always has been. Always will be.

Attached: 1504885852593.jpg (400x288, 13K)

Rayla is for Callum
Claudia is for Soren
and everyone is happy

Attached: 74984284_p0.jpg (2480x3508, 886K)

Incestfags fuck off back to /trash/

Ezran is for Viren

Attached: give elves the d.jpg (1200x1200, 81K)

>Putting the idiots together.
Their bad parenting would be a hilarious disaster that creates the villain for a spin-off comic.

I think Viren wanted Harrow. So, Ezran would only ever be a replacement that reminds Viren of what he lost.

he'll put Harrow in Ezran's body

Viren is on that star elf cock now

Attached: 1555032039215.jpg (1668x2048, 432K)

nah, his busy taking the D from Aravos, Ezran is for Aany who may or may not be a trap

Attached: aanya.jpg (640x789, 45K)

but she's a lesbian

her mothers died before she got the gay

Surely it's just a suction-cup dildo he's stuck to the mirror.
Even if I was a star elf, I'm wouldn't put my dick through a portal.

Claudia is for Soren and you know it
Cloren? Soraudia?

Attached: 72d0b0f839ca1e1ebdafb764394176c4.jpg (1031x1200, 115K)

Sordia

I always fucking hated Claudia. Primarily her nail polish. I was able to get used to Rayla's 4 digit hands, but not her.

It's called Shit.

>Elves are known for their slender forms, there for members of the elven race thend to have small breasts and tiny dicks

I dont like her weird purple gradient hair

and now she also has a white streak in her hair

Attached: 1554911732214.jpg (1450x2369, 529K)

I wouldn't be surprised if they found a reclusive writer that writers human on elf novels in secret. Writers, today, can't seem able to resist making allusions to their audience.

I think shes cute, but I guess she aint for everybody

Attached: claudia_by_marina_shads_dd03dn5-fullview.jpg (800x800, 91K)

cant wait to see more elves

Attached: janai 1.jpg (1280x720, 166K)

People who hate the Claudia and Soren pairing are going to be in for a world of hurt, when we meet redneck swamp elves.

>Callum, cont look in the mud elf eyes or they will try to talk to us, just look down and walk pass them

Attached: 1551946677658.jpg (540x694, 191K)

Awkward nerds identify with Callum and self-insert so they can fuck Rayla. Pance was popular in the Voltron threads for similar reasons.

>people working on the show would use twitter to promote Klance
They absolutely did not and shot the ship down between the first and second seasons.

>Main girl + Main guy
A mystery!

Wrong.

Attached: 1552919368017.png (1280x720, 449K)

good thing viren got himself a rebound

The creators would retweet Klance fanart and Netflix once stated that they ship Klance.
The people involved with Voltron were trying to punch up the hype behind the ship.

word is that the finale was goint to be Keith marrying Shiro but they changed their minds and put a random guy instead

The crew changed their minds alot and about a lot of things, it wouldn't surprise me at all.

Because the show itself has been building it up for at least a full season now.

Is there more?

ya in the /aco/ thread

>Aragon and Arwen
>Not Beren and Lúthien
You uncultured swine.

Attached: LIT_Beren_Et_Lúthien.jpg (1355x762, 149K)

Are you talking about Joaquim and Lauren? Because initially they liked and retweeted a bunch of different ships before getting branded as pedophiles for it. People were literally threatening their safety and trying to ruin their careers for not liking Klance enough.

Shiro was going to marry Roy Fokker.

Attached: D77kATBUEAAsgsZ.jpg (1200x1021, 81K)

Catradora is Klance for the batshit insane who spent two years trying to drown Sheithfaggots in a tub and then turned around and pretended they weren't shipping pseudoincest because they want a feral brown monster to lick their panties

Absolutely bullshit information perpetuated by Klance delusionfags. Creators did not retweet Klance fanart, they shot the ship down multiple times, and a Netflix intern fucked up and tagged one video with #klance to try and get ratings.

Netflix social media interns =/= anyone who actually worked on the show who HATED those faggots

This is just WMAF with pointy ears.

Wrong. Because unlike Klance, this one actually has a high probability of being canon.

I really hope we don't get a single hetero ship in the entire series. Because fuck hets.

Too late for that, user

Because they're the male and female leads? This is kind of like asking why Kataang is popular.

Although I hope they give Claudia / Callum a bit more development before they go all-in on the ELFED stuff. I guess there probably isn't any time, though, since next season is going to be two horny teens alone together.

>humaned
Doesn't really roll off the tongue.

Sapiened? Westernized? Smoothskulling?

Callumed

APED

Why not just call it what it is? WHITED

Because Callum is partially Asian. Lemon Chiffoned doesn't roll well off of the tongue either.

I wonder, do elves think of humans with different skin colors as different types. Like Callum is a white human and Ezran is a dark human

HAPA'D works well enough

I've never thought about that before. That's kind of a funny concept.

>so what do you dark humans specialize in, small human prince?
>uhh... poetry?

Now that I think on it, elves seem like they'd be pretty down with racism in general. Slavery is just the "efficient division of labour".

Because A) He's half Asian and B) It'd be BLEACHED you newfag

Because we're projecting our dumbass teenage selves on Callum. Kid is generic as fuck, but has an attractive older girl aggressively wanting him.

Bonus points for those of us that had girls attracted to them but never caught on. Also, bonus points, girl with extremely exotic features that's close enough to legal age for us to consider attractive.

Attached: Dragon Prince.jpg (1672x849, 393K)

>everyone self inserts as Callum
not everyone is a self insert fag

Just started watching this, about six episodes in now... do you ever get used to the fucking wonky ass animation? Because it's really getting on my nerves and stopping me from enjoying what is so far otherwise a very interesting world, story, and characters.

You don't but it does improve so you won't have to suffer the worst of it for long

BANANA'D

"improve" as in 24-30 frames per second or "improve" as in goes from 5 fps to 6?

someone made a 60 fps version and shared it in a mega a long time ago
wish I saved it

You don't enjoy watching Rayla teleport?

Attached: Rayla.gif (500x269, 1.9M)

more like 16-24

it didn't actually look good because it was still missing extra keyframes

Bad taste. The siblings are much better

Attached: im going to rely on something that's even stronger than muscles.png (1280x720, 1.08M)

Viren with the mute chick tho

Mute aunts need love too. Damn is she hot, though I have no idea why the fuck you would ship her with Viren. Soren seems like a fun match for her.

Very intelligent older woman dealing with very stupid young man. Mute trying to signal her frustration with his absolute stupidity.

Main Boy + Main Girl

That scene where they both pray. Idk, i just liked the idea.
Your idea sounds good too though.

but kataang isn't popular

They both hate elves and have a shared connection through the royal family. She was also the only one to stand up to Viren while also seeming to actually want to get shit done. Tbh I think they'd get along if Amaya wasn't inherently distrustful of him, I assume due to the dark magic/getting her sister killed stuff

More popular than Taang

no, the artist is being a cockteasing patreonfag

Earthling'd?
Terran'd?

Wow, it's also more popular than Sukaang!

Get a grip.

Honestly I really wanted Callum and Claudia on the basis that I'm tired of relationships between the main cast and Claudia is a really great waifu.
Tho Rayla really grew on me too, she isn't your standard main girl and as much as I don't want them to end together, I can see the appeal, it wouldn't be that bad.

Attached: 1549426664112.png (540x600, 348K)

it's better in season 2

>Elrond: you cannot marry my daughter till you are King of both Arnor and Gondor
>Aragorn: hold my beer

>Mon' Keigh'd?
I don't know but we need more of these

Attached: 1558418945096.jpg (1450x2370, 621K)

They aren't boring. All time, I mean.

I understand you, it is impossible not to fall in love I envy Callum

Attached: merge_from_ofoct.jpg (1920x4320, 1.4M)

elves are almost always just huge assholes so we might as well take their women.

it hurts me to watch her jealous

Attached: merge_from_ofoct (1).jpg (5760x1080, 1000K)

>wanting to fuck huge assholes
lmao what's next, your neighbours dog? Have some standards man.

But I am happy for them, this is a good ship, I hope everything will be much better than in Avatar. Kataang sucks

Attached: imgonline-com-ua-2to1-SHCRZuj56z.jpg (3840x1080, 753K)

Why do you think Elves are huge assholes? It's their women. Those who fuck Elves should take care that they themselves do not become Elves.

What if she is a princess (male) and Ezran turns out to be a prince (female)?
Apart from it being serious heresy, I mean.

Attached: Moon elf magic.webm (1920x1080, 1.52M)

What if they’re huge assholes because their women keep getting stolen?
What if Thunder was such an asshole because he got NTRd by Donkey?

Are you saying Zym's real dad is Donkey?

Maybe, maybe not.
But Thunder doesn’t know one way or another, and that’s what drives his rage

*teleports beside you*
It’s personnel kid

I hope we get jealous Rayla in season 3

probably not, elves are divided by the type of magic they can use in addition to their appearance, so humans would probably all get lumped together as 'no magic'

how does Rayla manage to spend so much of her time looking smug?

Attached: elven smugness.png (341x315, 101K)

Rayla in a Sailor-Moon style miniskirt when?

like 4 months ago

Attached: SailorRayla2.jpg (944x1280, 276K)

It's just very hard to take dramatic or emotional moments seriously when the number of keyframes per second is jumping all over the place. It makes things look choppy and unfinished.

"#WOKE" SJW pandering garbage

you're looking for the shillra thread

She-re has had slightly better plot and characterization than the Dragon Prince so far

"Smug" is an elf's natural state.

taking into account that Callum and Rayla are both teenagers, when do they find time to masturbate on their adventure.

Attached: 1558359758173.jpg (1176x1200, 181K)

You’re late

I meant in canon, but thanks for that

stress kills your sex drive, and I think it's safe to assume they've both been pretty stressed

i thought you masturbated to relieve stress
they're hormonal teens they should be horny none stop

I don't ever remember masturbating while camping.
There's a lot of logistical things they don't spend a fucking second on. They sleep in the dirt, supposedly eat nothing but rock-solid bread and berries, and cross whole mountain ranges off screen. At least Avatar had them stuffing their faces on Kyoshi episode 4. And flying everywhere so it's not stupid how much ground they cover.

You’d be surprised by how effectively a 10 year old in the vicinity limits wanking opportunities.

Ezran probably caught Callum in the castle before they left

Claudia is damaged goods

are you suggesting that Claudia was sexually abused

yes and hungry for DICK

I remember finding it weird that the cold of the mountains was eventually a major plot point, yet nobody seemed to give a shit about their clothing.

>tfw she'll live for decades longer than him even if everything goes right for them

Eh, more literally. Girl is riding that dark magic pretty hard, going to start looking like her pops and have a veiny bruised face in a few years

Water elves when?
discord.gg/mJK5VEq

Attached: D6YGwlxUIAAGFYD (1).jpg (848x1199, 128K)

>tfw primal magic turns out to be the main reason for elves having longer life spans, and Callum ends up forging an arcanum with all six, actually living longer than her
I mean, different types of elves have different lifespans entirely based on their arcanum in universe

That would explain why Aaravos has tanked 1000 years and counting

Attached: dragon prince fanart 02-28-2019 portfolio.jpg (1024x1024, 234K)

Cause Rayla's a pretty good character, honestly. She has edges, she has weaknesses, she's extremely sympathetic and we want to see her with Callum cause he's also cool and he likes her.

Yeh, she has a light scottish inflection and a word here and there, not full on drunken aberdeenian..

she gets like that when she's horny

I kind of wish cartoons got silly, light-hearted spinoff material like Yea Forums does

what kind of light hearted spin off could you even make

real talk? because at least for me horned girls makes my peepee really hard though I feel elves are overated personally but is better than nothing
And then when watching the series I like the idea that a the show is most likely looking for reunite the continent back and something that could help the relationship is also a marriage of a member of a royal human kingdom, that being Callum and Rayla which we dont know yet how important Rayla parents are/were yet, there is also some mention of half breeds prior the division

Attached: D3LQyKaU4AANHLQ.jpg (1280x1280, 146K)

They were royal guards if Rayla’s recollection is accurate. Their names are in disgrace because they were presumed to have fled, but given they were never found I’m pretty sure they got whirrred into coins

>ears are fine too

Attached: touch fluffy ears.png (1000x1333, 697K)

I thought half breeds were mentioned by the creators, but not the show yet?
I wonder if they'll manage to slip it in without a *looks directly at the camera* moment

Attached: a085f3435bbc6c84a43904d36ee68f11.jpg (563x579, 48K)

Where was that mentioned?

>tfw you just finished binge watching and now have to wait for the next season
why do i keep doing this to myself??

Attached: 1345922503478.png (601x695, 5K)

How?

you 'avin' a giggle mate?

>trapshit
Just come out of the closet already.

>>Not Beren and Lúthien
Undeniably based.

I do this shit too, but not just with Yea Forums material. It doesn't help that seasons are so short these days. Season 1 of She-Ra was the same runtime as The Sound of Music, and S2 was half a season.

Cartoons are getting to movie length when you cut commercials.

Elves are lewd and smug. It is their way.

>implying an archmage doesn't live exactly as long as he wants

Absolutely based image and kataangalang shitting

That gives my heart and my penis a boner

Not to mention, now that alot of cartoons are serialised, there's always the hook for the next episode. It's not so much of a problem with episodic shows.

Callum is for Claudia

Attached: bestship.jpg (1280x720, 77K)

>It doesn't help that seasons are so short these days.
Yeah, no kidding.
S1 and S2 of Dragon Prince were each nine episodes, each of which were 22 minutes (excluding the titles, recaps, and credits). That's 3 hrs and 20 minutes for each season.

To put that into context - ATLA was three seasons of twenty episodes each, and BTAS's first season was 65 episodes that aired over the course of one year

The Catra/Adora/Shadowweaver relationship has been more complex than any in dragon prince, the admittedly shallow worldbuilding of Etheria has still shown us more than Dragon Prince has, and the supporting characters are more memorable if not very complex. Put next to each other Dragon Prince just seems more ambitious but very slow to build on anything it's presented while She-ra has covered a lot of basic plot points and characterizations in a similar amount of time. Assuming they don't fuck it all up though, Dragon Prince seems like it'll ultimately have a better payoff.

Baby deer killer

It's just pining for the fjords.

Same thing as eatin meat

Attached: claudium.png (500x281, 122K)

yeah Claudia looks like she's tasted a lot of meat

Today it's baby deer to fix her brother's broken body... tomorrow it's human babies to bring someone back from the brink of death.

It's a slippery slope, user.

DARKED

Do you think Claudia knows a spell that will make Callum insatiably horny for her pale, voluptuous womanflesh

This is basically following the golden rule of complexity not equalling depth. Harrow and Viren's relationship isn't complex. But, there is a lot of depth to it. More than can be found in She-ra. Harrow reevaluated his actions, and how history remembers them, whereas Viren never did and it took them different roads. Not very complex. But it grants a lot of depth to the characters and the story's themes of revisionism, violence and vengeance.

>spoiler
no, she knows one that'll work on Rayla though

She'll just steal elf babies out of their cribs instead, there's not much of a difference really

>comic in manga format
Cringe

I dunno, She-Ra is more shallow in most respects but I'd argue the Catra/Adora/Shadowweaver relationship has equal if not more depth than Viren/Harrow. There's themes of abusive affection and neglect, there's a duality between the sisters as they cope with their upbringings in opposite ways, the vicious cycle of victims becoming abusers themselves as Catra adopts Shadoweavers role and behaviors, the generic but in this case particularly relevant message of Adora having friends to help her heal; there's just a lot going on between those three. Even some side characters are presented in interesting ways, like Entrapta's scientific irresponsibility being a genuine danger to the wellbeing of the planet and an actual point of contention with her former allies, and Scorpia's self-worth issues and emotional dependency on Catra playing back into the show's focus on unhealthy female relationships.

Really I'm shocked how interesting She-Ra is making some of this shit, while the Dragon Prince has some faults that hurt the characterizations, like Viren's flipflopping between well-intentioned extremist and outright moustache twirler and the whole debate over how dark magic actually plays into things and thus the morality of it's use. TDP just feels like it doesn't have enough details yet to drive home it's themes so whenever it tries to tackle it it comes off as schizophrenic

>he doesn't get the reference
shameful user, just shameful

Attached: MeshiMarcillesFatEars.jpg (900x1300, 516K)

>Yea Forums screechers getting triggered by manga stuff and about caring knowing the source

Attached: we are not lewd.png (1291x443, 213K)

Again. You're mistaking complexity for depth. There's more going on with Catra/Adora/Shadoweaver. So, it's complex in how it functions yet shallow in how it plays into the themes of the show. The show's muddled themes of friendship, family and separation are often undermined by this relationship. Catra even points this out once. When Adora chooses to side with people, that she's known for a day, over Catra and the horde.
I don't want to point out that your reading of the dragon prince sucks. But it genuinely does. Viren isn't a well intentioned extremist. He thinks of himself as a well intentioned extremist and this plays into the story's theme of revisionism. If you've seen the show, and feel that it doesn't have enough details to drive home the themes, then you need to watch it again. Before critiquing the writing.

Well alrighty, guess I have the dumb

Attached: Shrug.gif (480x330, 459K)

Rayla seems like type to wake up her man by going down on him.

will the dark elves in this show be matriarchal

Acting glib won't help you. The reason why I go into this detail is because I don't think you're dumb and I believe that you can get better at how you critique and understand media. Even if that means I have to be a big meany and break down your arguments, so that you'll reevaluate them.

The best way to cure morning wood.

She does seem the sort to be assertive in quenching her thirst.

>Viren's flipflopping between well-intentioned extremist and outright moustache twirler
The defining characteristic of Viren's character is incompetence. It is the tragedy of a man who is absolutely certain he can help, who is addicted to helping, but is incapable of actually doing it. Everything he does, he legitimately believes to be helpful. He believes that HE has to be the one to help, that he has some sort of special insight into matters that makes him the only one who can help.

It's not about well-intentioned extremism OR moustache-twirling. It's about addiction. Viren is essentially a drug addict who can't get his fix. Maybe deep down he could be called a "good person", but he should be treated like a dangerous criminal or a wild animal. He simply does whatever it takes to get his fix. If he feels like you're in the way, he gets rid of you.

ya but he's usually right

Wow user. That was a nice, well intentioned discussion with a nice clean cut conclusion

Attached: tumblr_pkk47l1Gfl1wuy7qo_400.jpg (400x418, 35K)

Callum is getting cucked in xadia

>Rayla is getting cucked in xadia
fixed that for ya

This is what I mean when I said the show doesn't seem to have enough details. That so many people can regularly come to this wrong conclusion suggests something is wrong with the show's delivery of it's themes. That or we've just become so /pol/ that reasonable analysis of a cartoon for children has become impossible.

Viren's basically never right. Almost everything he does to "help" makes things worse. Even if he says he can do something helpful, when people disagree, he doubles down and does something retarded instead.

The dark magic is just another point against him. He thinks he's better than everyone else, that the ends justify the means, that he can just ignore everyone else's carefully-held beliefs and rules. Dark Magic is commonly considered to be dangerous and unpredictable. Viren goes to it to solve every problem he has. What kind of person does that? What kind of person actually thinks that they're so above everyone else that they can just ignore society's warnings and do whatever the hell they want? Surely a narcissist. A normal person wouldn't hear "dark magic is dangerous" and go "NO IT'S NOT AND I'LL PROVE IT OVER YOUR DEAD BODY".

ok come up with a better idea than killing the lava golem
what should you do when an enemy army is sending troops over your borders

i'll wait

>all the smokin' hot elf chicks go after Callum's exotic human dick
>Rayla tries to be a good and supportive friend while being secretly crushed

>something is wrong with the show's delivery of it's themes
nothing is wrong. People just aren't used to unreliable characters. Nobody actually KNOWS, for instance, if Dark Magic is inherently bad or not. What they KNOW is that it has a reputation for being dangerous, and that it's powerful enough that any random schmuck could kill a dog to kill a bull to kill a bear to kill a griffin to kill a dragon to kill a frost golem to create eternal winter for a year and wipe out half a country. The point is that the message ISN'T that dark magic is evil. It's that the people who USE dark magic is evil because they think they deserve to use something so dangerous, powerful, and socially unacceptable even when others tell them "no".

>ok come up with a better idea than killing the lava golem
>it's okay! we're not the bad guys! we're just gonna invade a LITTLE bit!

Don't promise resources you don't have
Don't kill that enemy army's king to provoke them into sending troops over your border

>what should you do when an enemy army is sending troops over your borders
Different user here. Preventative policy is key here: don't piss off your neighbors by invading or assassinating their political, religious, or cultural leaders.

I never said they were the good guys, I'm saying those are the best options
>Don't promise resources you don't have
blame the shitty king
>Don't kill that enemy army's king to provoke them into sending troops over your border
when does the show say that Viren killed the dragon king

>ok come up with a better idea than killing the lava golem
propose a proper foodshare system rather than just wholesale "giving aid" to the other country. Weren't there like five other countries in the coalition? You're telling me they couldn't each give up 10% of their food for a year so that the remaining country could survive the winter? It didn't have to be 100% from one country.

a lava golem is none of those things

would have been great if any one came up with this idea. Sadly no one else but Viren even had a plan

>The point is that the message ISN'T that dark magic is evil. It's that the people who USE dark magic is evil because they think they deserve to use something so dangerous, powerful, and socially unacceptable even when others tell them "no"
What of Callum's "this is blatantly evil" feverdream?

>when does the show say that Viren killed the dragon king
When him and Harrow get into a shouting match over what Viren did to the Dragon King and his egg

why do you all shit on Viren and never Harrow, Viren is just the adviser. Blame the king for allowing the choices you all consider so bad

I think the show's taken care to make the point that Dark Magic isn't inherently bad, but because it doesn't require the kind of discipline or deeper understanding that the primal magics require, and because its power seems to only be limited by the amount of magical essence contained within the components, remains, or living creature utilized for the spell it becomes extremely tempting to use shortcuts and quick fixes: Why develop better farming techniques and can perform a ritual to give you a longer growing season? Why develop a more effective spell when you can just sacrifice a bigger creature to amplify the effect of a weaker one? Etc

Is Callum worse than Marco from star vs?

Last thread was almost entirely shitting on Harrow. His incompetence should be obvious

Well that's because there only seem to be 5 people of any importance in the whole kingdom

This show's worldbuilding leaves something to be desired

the world building is fine, they just need people other than Viren to actually try to come up with solutions

>elves
>asian
excuse you

Nobody else but Viren gets to come up with plans. When he's involved, he makes everything urgent, now-or-never, my-way-or-the-highway. He's the problem. Nobody gets to discuss anything because he's already come up with what he sees as the perfect solution. When people say they want more time to think, he throws a tantrum and storms off and ruins the mood.

And incidentally, being the only one to propose a solution doesn't make it a good solution. It doesn't make you right. It just makes you the only one retarded enough to voice the first nonsensical idea that pops into your head while others are trying to think of something that will actually work.

They just didn't want to bother writing in more complicated situations so Viren is the only one that ever has ideas

NINGEN'D

The lava golem idea was beyond idiotic, everyone already pointed out how naive it was to trust such a freefall, its a miracle it worked out
On a closer look though it didnt, at fucking all. It seems to have been THE event that snowballed things into war with Xadia

I would like either of them with either of the other two. The siblings are too good.

We dont know any of that. Also, hostilities with Xadia didnt not seem to be an issue before that Chances are golem was a vip and things escalated, especially considering Thunder's reaction

to be fair, harrow HAD a solution, just not a very good one

>straight ship

>by invading
That is exactly what they did, regardless of the target. Any country sending forces over a hostile border would have committed an act of war even if they didn't kill anything in the process. If anything, the response was excessively light. There was no retaliation on human territory, only against humans who were somewhere they shouldn't have been.

People really like Viren though. Hes near universally a very well recieved character. But ehs also super polarizing (everyone likes him some just as a villain, some as a hero, some as gray) so most discutions are about him.
Harrow is just a fucking half baked idiot. Excelent person, dogshit ruler. He is interesting, but not provocative, like Viren. On a closer inspection yes, he is extremely questionable, but Viren is more obviously easy to argue about, not to mention that Viren also adds the dark magic angle, which is another whole case

Sending troops across the border is a big deal. As is whatever revenge they visited on Xadia over the death of the Queen. I get you're slow, user, but stop being obtuse.

Actually reversed, Rayla is based on a white race while Callum is asian

>white

>2019

Attached: Arya2.png (648x963, 727K)

Hapas aren't Asian or white, they're abominations

Oh fuck off with that noise. The Scots are as white as they come. Ba dum tiss.

It's reversed in that sense, but elves are the fine-featured exotic and Callum is a potato. In that sense it's standard orientalism in fantasy form. Rayla is better than many examples of elf chicks because she's at least been shown to be more physical than the guy.

H-how do you know user?

Attached: 1242343546.jpg (1920x1080, 81K)

Exotic female+Basic male isnt WMAF (even if it has some of its spirit). A big portion of it is the unique cultural clash between the two. Rayla sure is exotic but she absolutely does not carry herself as any kind of asian. If anything she smore of a goblin than Callum

By having a sibling...?

But if Callum isn't the white one how will I self insert?

gosh, that arc was unironically the only one I enjoyed of Super

Oh sure, but I was responding to the post about human/elf in general and using a picture from lotr. I think this show has been pretty good about stripping away the usual willowy mysticism attached to elves.

Oh its easy user you just have to be asian or a nigger

I was mostly arguing agaisnt because it really isnt wmab, like not even vaguely so. Basic male + exotic female has been the popular thing in like every single culture with a tiny bit of mythology

>everyone likes him some just as a villain, some as a hero, some as gray, some as a husbando

the writers knew damn well what they were doing when they wrote that line

It's the default ship for the show, so of course it's going to be the most popular. What surprises me is Claudia/Rayla is more popular than Callum/Rayla.

lol is fucking not you liar, specially When Im dumping images of TDP into the booru lately so Im grabbing shit from alot of places, there is barely people caring about Yuri shit, its either Aavaros x Viren hoes (alot of them being from the Voltron fandom actually btw)or Rayllum which is so strunk and in third place some still shipping Claudia x Callum

meh, I like Callum x Claudia better.

there you go then, you are just your average cancer yurifag that thinks that way, nothing new

>What surprises me is Claudia/Rayla is more popular than Callum/Rayla.
Whoops, I meant Callum/Claudia, not Callum/Rayla. My bad.

>there you go then, you are just your average cancer yurifag that thinks that way, nothing new
Callum x Claudia is het, dumb ass.

A soft boy with a tough girl will always be a classic. However, I also like a soft boy with an older sister type, like Claudia. It's two good possibilities in this show.

They're both older sister types. However, Rayla's older sister dynamic is more by circumstance and that's what makes it more believable. She never asked to be saddled with Callum, Ezran and Azymondias. She just was.

I think it's mostly because producers are afraid that the show will fail. So they invest lower amounts of money in making shorter seasons, so they lose less money if the series fails.
But well having small seasons isn't that much of a problem because you can make more seasons & faster.
For me the real problem is the "publish the whole season at once" thingy. I do like to have 1 episode per week, because my memory is pretty bad for the shows I binge watch

You think the dark magic lashback is just a first time thing or? Considering Claudia and Viren are doing it semi regularly and just get a little spooky afterwards?

>Lord over humans because you have magic and they don't
>Humans get tired of your shit
>Eventually figure out there own magic
>Throw such an autistic bitch fit over no longer being able to flaunt your own magic over humans that you declare dark magic as "bad magic" and kick every human out of their rightful lands
Humans did literally nothing wrong, elves deserve the rope.

Attached: Fuck the keeblers, elf war now.jpg (3419x2454, 824K)

Possible, but considering Callum can somehow make wind magic, it could be a reaction with his hidden arcanum connection or something.
Or he could just have fucked up.

I think humans can connect to any arcanum but forgot about it because they relied on dark magic for so long

Claudia said you have to condition yourself to be able to use dark magic without fucking yourself up, so it's probably just the result of Callum trying a mid-level spell without any sort of previous experience.

>relied on dark magic so long
>as soon as they started using that magic they got trial of tear-ed
uh hu, also keep in minds there are only a few mages around if any

>>Lord over humans because you have magic and they don't
We don't know that.
>>Throw such an autistic bitch fit over no longer being able to flaunt your own magic over humans that you declare dark magic as "bad magic" and kick every human out of their rightful lands
Dark magic may have something more sinister being it, but more importantly we don't really know the circumstances of the banishment. For all we know humans may have started a race war and lost. or maybe not. Actually it wouldn't make much sense to banish all human just because of dark magic, you would just banish the human mages in that case. There must be more to it, some sort of escalation after the discovery of dark magic.
I mean, the elves may be at fault, but we don't know that yet.

t. Elf apologist
Race traitors get the rope too

Attached: 12343124123.jpg (622x494, 51K)

Humans certainly don't have any spontaneous connection, hidden or not. They wouldn't have to start dark magic at all if that was the case.
But maybe they need to create that connection through external circumstances like I don't know holding a baby sky dragon in their hands while lightning strike, but that would be a really dumb thing to do.
Or maybe elf-fucking.

We don't know things. We just don't.
Maybe the elf plot against mankind will be revealed next season, but don't count on it.

This so much.

Also if there were people abusing dark magic, it would make a million times more sense to deal with those people or have laws built over the use of the newly found magic that humans have. Forcing a whole race onto another side of a continent (that apparently is plagued by famine) was an incredibly cruel and immature move. The equivalent for us would be if your neighbor committed murder and you/everyone in your state was forced to move to Africa.

It's very likely. We do know the circumstances of the banishment however, because it says in the opening they were forced to leave and that Thunder guarded the border.

This is why Viren is the best character. Fuck elves.

We have some good hints

Attached: AaravosBookTranslations.png (1416x3397, 3.92M)

Sounds like third party putting a wedge between humans and elves.

well the blind pirate guy had an obvious connection to the sky. He isn't a mage but he was connected to an arcanum

Sounds like the downfall of Numenor

Attached: Shadow_of_Mordor_-_Sauron_as_Annatar.jpg (485x273, 25K)

Attached: Arravos Book.jpg (442x784, 57K)

The thing is that despite that account about humans being second-class citizens, nothing in the present day implies that.
Humans hate elves for kicking them out of half the continent, not for racial reasons.

does he have a human fetish

And it could be a biased account.
Though Lujanne attitude does show condescension.

>nothing in the present day implies that
Except for the forced exodus, the intense dehumanization, the belittling way Luanne treats them, etc

Too bad, you get cock

Villads (with a silent 'd') is far and away the best side character to come out of the show.

Attached: villads.jpg (1920x1080, 236K)

It's like becoming an alcoholic. Callum was a poor teenager who got peer pressured into drinking some shitty high proof grain alcohol punch at a high school party, and got destroyed the next day.
Claudia got used to it but now occasionally has too much, like a college senior.
Viren has liver cirrhosis and refuses to let people tell him he has a problem.

My guess? Kind of... but he also has a sort of cosmic perspective.
The creators have said that they view elvish architecture and culture as focused on perfection, while humans are more asymmetrical and imperfect (see the crown of Katolis).

Aaravos is a being that is connected to the stars, and also forged arcanum on his own with all five other sources. And it's also likely that he invented dark magic. He also is stated to have seen potential in humans.
My guess? He was working on raising up humanity. He knew that beings could forge new arcanum (despite elven images in the series denying it, calling it inborn... why would they think this when he was proof against it? Is this one reason they worked on somehow erasing him/mentions of him from the world?). Humans were imperfect but could adapt and choose their arcanum. Dark magic just was so much easier that it kind of overtook his other teachings.

FACK YOU! I CAN QUIT ANYSTIMES I WANTSH! I JUSS DON FEEL LIKE IT!

As much as I want to believe Aravos is a truly altruistic being whose only goals are to aid humanity and to sexually confuse men wanting them to see more of him in sheer clothing; him being the "midnight star" of Elarion, the whose "twisted roots spread deep and far," seems pretty goddamned ominous.

Retarded and cute

Is that supposed to make him un-husbando-able

Attached: 1491796753999.gif (245x245, 1.79M)

He's a man who wants to upend the old order. The show creators said he wasn't so much evil as "disliked" by xadians.

My bet is he is going to be painted as an extremist who was altruistic to humans in ways that caused them to be targeted/suffer despite his intent

>all the racism in; the world is caused by a 3rd party
oh shit this show is calling out the jews

We won't know until we see a female star elf. If she has KHAZAR MILKERS, then we'll know what they're alluding to.

I want him to find a brainlet waifu that makes him look smart.
Preferably an elf to make Viren lose his shit even further.

mage elf x Soren would be pretty cool
bonus points if she likes his poetry

Soren x rayla

Given how the only elf mage we saw was super condescending to humans, they probably treated us as a race of "be patient with me, I have autism".
Then when we started standing up for ourselves and showing our tard strength they tried to send us out to Oklahoma.

>Callum and Rayla spend weeks agonising over telling people about their relationship
>finally come to the conclusion that the world has to know humans and elves can come together in peace
>then find Soren and his poetry inspired gf have beaten them to the punch

athletic guy x athletic girl is kinda boring
I also dislike Callum x Caudia for the same reason (mage x mage)

Viren. Dude has a ridiculous amount of porn in comparison to the other characters.

but he's the most hated character on tubmblr

Also the most lewded

He's very well loved on twitter and the show staff know it.

a lot of girls have a daddy fetish I see

Honestly I only really adore Aaravos. Feminine guys are my thing, so no other character really stands out.

Viren however is my favorite character based off of his personality alone. Its a shame I don't like his aesthetic. I know a lot of girls really liked the elven assassin leader as well.

what the fuck is this show more popular with girls than guys or something

Probably

>the guy practicing blood magic
Oh sure, label it to make it sound worse.
>banished to some alternate plane of reality
Elves are assholes.
>giving someone a little Mister Mind worm to crawl into their fucking ear
That thing acted like an organic Bluetooth device, I was actually very impressed. Wrapped around the ear initially but only went inside when Viren got caught.
I just want to see more elf behavior outside of combat. So far we've only seen moon elf assassins, who weren't very intelligent, and murderous fire elves.

>Oh sure, label it to make it sound worse.
He literally did magic using blood.

>male user
You just said the same thing twice

fuck, but it looks like everyone knew what I ment

A lot of shows low key are, but it's hard to tell online. Like Young Justice.

I really like what they've done with sun forged blades. This fight in particular was great, not just in terms of the fight but how the blade looked in the fight. Parts of it were white and had iridescent bits. I know it's a little thing, but the fa/t g/uy in me liked the execution.

Should I watch this show? Seems like it keeps getting better and better.

si

It takes a lot of time to get used to the animation during Season One, but it gets significantly better by Season Two and will hopefully continue that trend. The characters are endearing, the story engaging, the world intriguing.

Nice. Thanks lads.

this - the low framerate of the first season is one of the show's few glaring flaws and they fixed that shit fast in the following season

Attached: 81fe43741d7ef568163f53c92405ed2f.jpg (564x888, 92K)

I have a question. Did the writers intend for Viren to do nothing wrong and the whole show is a meta-commentary on the perils of empty idealism and weak leadership in times of crisis, or is something very, very wrong with them?

>Viren
>do nothing wrong
wut?

>Viren to do nothing wrong

Attached: 1325615855473.png (640x464, 273K)

kek

yes but we have some tumblr users here that think Viren is evil because he's a straight while male

Viren is overly emotional, it's because he's a bottom

Honestly, I was bored with the second season, and found the deus ex asspull towards the end underwhelming, frustrating and lazy.

>Viren
>do nothing wrong
Meet Viren. His hobbies include forging imperial documents, attempts at usurping the throne, assassination attempts against a 10 and 14 year old, sending his innocent and naive son to kill children, telling his sweet daughter to write off her brother if necessary, telling everyone that elves are pure fucking evil but conspiring with elven sexgod in the mirror, hiding his heavy substance abuse and passing it along to his daughter, AND COLLECTING PEOPLE IN COINS.

I'm sure I've forgotten at least something.

Attached: Viren Spin.gif (540x304, 3.36M)

what asspull?

>I'm sure I've forgotten at least something.
Yeah, jump starting the whole current conflict by stealing the dragon prince's egg.

you forgot imprisoning a high ranking member of his own country's military in a secret dungeon

The dragon prince was the egg, he kidnapped the prince

Ah yes that's right, after their head general appointed someone to stay with him, he immediately imprisoned him to replace him with his son, something he does not have the authority to do. That's another count of treason.

Why does rayla Love Callum if he is shorter than her

>AND COLLECTING PEOPLE IN COINS
One person that comes to mind is an assassin that meant to kill the current king, who, I'm sure, you see as a completely honest and just king.

Name exactly one thing in your complaints that was not justified in saving the humans of the pentarchy. You can blame him for "smashing" the egg, but if you even try to claim that he was the mastermind that convinced and planned the execution of the dragon king, I'm going to need a citation. The only thing Harrow was upset about was the egg. He didn't give a shit about the dragon that killed his wife.

Was it ever explained how they killed thunder? Like of they killed him so easily why fear the prince

>Name exactly one thing in your complaints that was not justified in saving the humans of the pentarchy.
Except he hasn't, and your ends justifies the means bullshit is hilarious. I can always make up excuses for my actions after I've done them, and he hasn't even shown positive results. Everything he has done has only ended in catastrophe.
>collecting people in coins is an okay hobby so long as they're bad people
>I'm sure all the other coins were bad too
You sound like Snidely Whiplash trying to understand morality.

There was one scene with Viren and Harrow, where Viren was holding her spear and there was a jar of something and what looked like a horn on the desk.
It's not explicitly explained if those where ingredients that were used to kill him or not, but it's probably safe to say it was some kind of black magic.

he also released a bunch of murderous black magic shadow elves upon the people he claims to want to protect

The dragons dont seem so powerful

>those moves
I wonder if that's mostly Aaravos puppetry or if Viren was a badass battle mage in his youth.

Attached: D2S49dEU4AAXMTI.jpg (1200x960, 115K)

Rayla is going to spy on Callum during the next full moon
cap this

Perhaps we just have a different idea of what "wrong" is. He failed in everything he did, yeah, but I don't think he was necessarily wrong in any of his judgements.

He had reason to believe that an invasion was immanent. Assassinating a king before an invasion to ensure a successful campaign is not a particularly surprising move. His attempt to usurp the throne, as well as the assassination of a boy king that talked to birds and was convinced to return a weapon to their enemies were both justified. And make no mistake, Zym is a weapon. If we're talking about some baby that may or may not grow up to be Alexander the Great, that's one thing, but Zym is absolutely going to grow up to be a dragon that can wipe many humans out single-handedly. Telling only his son to kill them makes sense because he couldn't trust anyone else, and there is no reason to believe that he hated elves any more than any other human. Even Harrow wasn't too upset at the idea of killing a couple would-be elf assassins. Aaravos introduced himself through dark magic, which Xadia hates, and offered real solutions to convince half a continent that they were going to be wiped out. And how is collecting people, especially assassins, in coins worse that collecting them in cells? Do you have any proof that he coined innocent or non-combative people?

No, I don't think he's the mustache-twirling villain you make him out to be.

He sent out black magic shadow elves to kill people and cause panic just to make himself look right

>just to make himself look right
except that;s wrong, he did it because everyone is listening to a retarded child that has no idea what she's doing

So, he did it, to make himself look right

he did it to save the kingdom you idiot

>he did it because everyone is listening to a retarded child that has no idea what she's doing
They're listening to a level headed queen who didn't buy a short magical powerpoint presentation that was blatantly meant to use fancy graphics and dramatic display to get people behind him. All flash and no substance.

You don't decide the future based on some wizard's fearmongering "speech" in the time it takes me to walk to the bathroom and take a piss.

Why is Viren qualified to save the kingdom? Everyone he knows, respected people in their fields, they are all telling him to fucking let it go and let them handle things. And he's ignoring them because he has a messiah complex and selfishly believes that ONLY he can fix things.

When the only other country that boarders Xadia is ruled by a child queen that refuses even defensive measures, the people with the most to lose is Katolis. It stands to reason that having the largest standing army means they will suffer the largest military defeat at the initial invasion, which will mean everybody else has a week to make up a defense if at all.

Make no mistake, Katolis killed their king, but Duren sent two queens into Xadia to poach the golem. Their asses are getting an army too.

you're right you let the enemy cross your borders and do nothing about it
the same enemy that killed the king of an allied kingdom
these people aren't even trying to come up with a plan. They just want to sit on their asses and let the enemy into their homes

So he sent out monsters, to hurt innocent people, for their own good

yes

Maybe if he wasnt such an over-emotional bottom he'd have people listen to him over a child

>you're right you let the enemy cross your borders and do nothing about it
>the same enemy that killed the king of an allied kingdom
No, you're right. Decide something in 15 minutes and make shit worse again, just like Viren always does because he's a fuck up.

That's pretty fucked and sounds like it'll backfire

Viren is a game of thrones character stuck in a show for children

probably will
better than letting the enemy do whatever they want in your country

That doesnt sound like a compliment

it's just an observation

>Decide something in 15 minutes and make shit worse again, just like Viren always does
Unlike Harrow, who decided something in 0.15 seconds and made shit worse for his kingdom.

Viren, with the country with the largest military, actually came with more shit to the table than anyone, unlike the Queens of Duran, who were a people dying of famine and begging for help.

>doing something and making shit worse is better than doing nothing and not making shit worse
Yeah, you sound like a Viren alright.

>lets just let the enemy into our country
literally anything is better than doing nothing in this situation
the kid is just letting her countries people die

Nobody's saying Harrow's good or smart. We're saying Viren is bad and dumb and completely incompetent. I can't think of a single bad thing that has happened in the entire series so far that can't be traced back to Viren's awful decisions.

How do we know that the other people collected into the coins arent innocents?

>viren is bad
he has noble intentions and wants whats best for his people and country. How is he bad
>viren is dumb
he is literally the only politician in the show even coming up with ideas. He's surrounded by incompetent fuck ups

Exactly how is saving two kingdoms from starvation bad?
And don't say the golem killing was the start of the war. We have no idea who decided to kill Thunder.

>he has noble intentions
No, he fucking doesn't. He has selfish intentions. Noble people do not put their desires over the desires of others.

>he is literally the only politician in the show even coming up with ideas
Bad ideas are not fucking valuable.

>How is he bad
Because his methods involve hurting people

>Noble people do not put their desires over the desires of others.
like how he was about to sacrifice his own life for Harrow before he shit on his intentions. Hell the writers made a tweet about Viren trying to do the right thing and shit
>Bad ideas are not fucking valuable.
better than everyone else not even trying to come up with an idea

>let's just walk into the territory of a power we're not technically at war with, kill an important, sentient figure, rip out its heart, and perform a blood ritual with it
This is not how good people act. Even if it was not the "start" of the war, it was definitely one of the dominoes that lead to it.

Aanya was right not to trigger a world war because Viren had a fancy lightshow

I dont think making the situation worse with bad ideas is actually better than no ideas at all

Noble people don't kill / imprison their kings because they were rude to them.

>better than everyone else not even trying to come up with an idea
No, it literally isn't. A bad idea is a bad idea.

yes letting an allied king die is ok. Just sit around and let even more politicians die so you don;t start a war
well maybe if any other character would come up with an idea we could judge them and see who has the better ideas. Oh wait everyone else just wants to sit around and let elves kill people
Viren didn't kill Harrow he just put him in a bird

Yeah, we also have to consider things from their point of view. Here is Viren CLEARLY using flashy con-artist tricks to speed them into a decision before they can think about it. How exactly are they supposed to react? They're supposed to go "oh yeah viren we'll just believe you and do what you say"?

Of fucking course not. They should be wondering just what he's hiding from them and if he's even telling any of the truth at all, or if he just wants a pretense to go to war with a country whose residents happen to make excellent fuel for a type of magic Viren is completely and utterly addicted to.

Who started those dominoes but the elves?
I'm sure some stupid elven magic could have saved them over what they did, but could humans even preform such magic? No. Even when they tried to have even slightly as much power, they got fucking thrown out of their homes.

Who started the war? Fucking elves. That's who.

>Noble people don't kill / IMPRISON their kings because they were rude to them.

when your king is about to let himself die because he's a fucking idiot than you should put him into a bird
Viren literally saved Harrow's life

>well maybe if any other character would come up with an idea we could judge them and see who has the better ideas.
Callum, Ezran, and Rayla literally have a better idea. They're diplomatically bringing the prince back to the other nation as a peace offering. If Viren weren't completely fucking evil he might have done the same instead of keeping the egg in his basement as a fucking nuclear deterrent.

Instead, Viren orders his children to fucking ASSASSINATE the princes.

>you should put him in a bird and then never let him out and not be overly concerned when the bird escapes into the wild never to return
King might as well be dead.

first off why would you willingly give a weapon of that power to the enemy. It's like giving NK nukes and hoping they'll become nice people.
secodnly he is a pragmatist and knows Callum and Azrin are not fit to be king and will try to give the elves a weapon of mass destruction
na man it's obvious that he's going to hang around Ezran and give him kingly advice and shit

To be fair, it's not like Viren had time to be concerned with Harrow/Pip's escape since he was in the middle of being arrested at the time.

I'm upset there is only like 2 pieces of smut of this girl.

Viren is the hero we deserve but not the one we need

Viren needs a good cock in the ass

This.

The proper response would be to have an elongated meeting to discuss options. Spitball ideas. NOT FUCKING HAVE VIREN INVADE THE WHOLE CONTINENT LIKE A TARD. Fire dildos seem to be pushing the border so the country closest to dead-Harrow's should send a small amount of support troops to ensure they don't invade, and runners to report back and keep in touch with the council. Other countries could send small squads, not armies, to assist with patrolling the boarder to insure no invasions were forming and runners to report to the kingdom(s) should elves be elves, this would prevent provocation between human kingdoms and not cost a lot. It also wouldn't show a huge buildup of a single army on our border yet. It shouldn't be hard to convince everyone to loan a few squads for boarder control against the assholes that banished them to Utah.

>It's like giving NK nukes and hoping they'll become nice people.
It's more like killing Kim Jong-Un, stealing Kim Ju-Ae, locking her in your basement, letting NK believe that you murdered her, sitting there as they plot to kill your king and destroy your country because you killed Kim Ju-Ae, and not giving her back because you've given her ultra-cyborg enhancements in the meantime and you're hoping to get a chance to unleash her power on her countrymen.

If we're talking Viren's plan, you fucking idiot.
His argument was against Ezran's.

Well that part is like trying to give back Kim Ju-Ae because you're not a total fucking monster who thinks she needs to be locked in a basement in case NK tries to attack you for killing her and because you realize that it might help smooth things over between your nations.

First of all, some human girl does not equate to the would-be most powerful motherfucker to be alive on the other side of the boarder. And not politically, but actually being able to breath lightning.
Second of all, you can't turn a human girl into a bomb with dark magic. It's a fucking egg.

Finally something we can all agree on.

I don't think you understand the point of the analogy here. It's not a nuke. It's a political prisoner that you've locked in your basement because you want to use them as a nuke. The kind of nuke you only have to use because you took their fucking prince as a political prisoner so you could use it as a nuke.

A country has two bombs. One is fully operational and the other is in the beginnings of development.
You invade that country and say you destroyed both, only you took the one that was in development back in secret to use for your own purposes. Except, the 10 year old prince of your country decided that the only way to stop the war was to take that developing bomb back to the country you just invaded and give it back.

You're the one that doesn't understand the point.

They aren't fucking bombs, they're sentient, living creatures. You literally went and assassinated their king and then stole their prince.

This is why Viren is evil, the retarded shit you're spouting. It isn't a bomb. It is a person.

It's a fucking metaphor.
You were very happy to use one not one post ago.

A bomb is a device, that when set off, kills a lot of people. A dragon is a living creature, that when set off, kills a lot of people. We've already seen one nobody dragon burn an entire town.

>it's cute
>it's realistic
>it's canon otp, most likely

>You were very happy to use one not one post ago.
Yes, because I was correcting the other metaphor. In which they compared the prince to a bomb. And I said "no, it's more like a person".

>A dragon is a living creature, that when set off, kills a lot of people.
And the leader of North Korea is also a living creature that when set off kills a lot of people, but we don't fucking kill him, kidnap his daughter, and keep her in our basements unbeknownst to anyone in the world but our immediate family.

>We've already seen one nobody dragon burn an entire town.
After it was attacked.

Because they aren't a real threat to us

>we don't fucking kill him, kidnap his daughter, and keep her in our basements unbeknownst to anyone in the world but our immediate family.

Attached: myfetish.jpg (303x312, 17K)

>"no, it's more like a person"
>And the leader of North Korea
I'm not sure if I'm getting it across to you that they're dragons, not people. Sentient, yes, but also wholly capable of mass destruction, which is what a weapon of mass destruction fucking is.

after kept being a fucking cunt for 3 days straight fucking with humans scaring them by flying at night over them in *their* lands

Sauce on that Soren, please?

Not now that it's cannon.

>they're dragons, not people
The entire theme of the show is that dragons are people.

Not HUMAN then, for fucks sake.

You okay Callum, you seem even more retarded than usual?

>riding elf by horns
New on my bucket list under shit of things that probably won't get done.
Considering how painful it is to dehorn goats and that they recommend doing it at infancy, should you dehorn a goat without a vet, I wonder how much an elf would feel. Obviously there are no nerves on the outside but she has to know if they're being tugged as there's stuff running through the inside and base. Gotta be rough?
>goatwisdom.com/ch1baby_care/dehorning.html

Why does that matter?

I genuinely don't understand why I have to explain the difference between a dragon and a human.
Do you want me to?

Image was actually my first thought when you said this. You are literally talking about humans trying to kill it because it was flying in the wrong neighborhood. The fact that it had been there repeatedly showed that it didn't pose any threats, maybe it just had sore wings and wanted to stretch before bed. That doesn't warrant a goddamned death sentence.

You want proof that humans are at fault here? What were their intentions once it was captive? Knowing it was sentient, since the parts were valuable they were just going to chop it up and take all the pieces back to the capital.

Attached: Betty White.jpg (260x194, 7K)

>humans are expressly forbidden from crossing the boarder under any circumstance
>dragon flies far into human territory
>gets mad when humans object after the third day

youtube.com/watch?v=NIi-HGKlL_0

Are you fucking high?
I’m being serious here.

>open fire because I've always wanted to kill a dragon
>help because I want body parts
>looks like it's okay
>hack it apart anyways
I'd expect nothing less from Viren's kids. Elves are dicks but they're proving the knife ears right.

Attached: Claudia Tou.jpg (1200x803, 297K)

>open fire because I've always wanted to kill a dragon
Or because every human alive has been taught that dragons hate humans and kill them on sight just like elves.
>help because I want body parts
More like because the fucker started burning houses down.

>hack it apart anyways
Even if it wasn't dead, which they thought it was, they were going to execute it for burning a town. What the fuck do you want them to do? Throw it in dragon jail?

>More like because the fucker started burning houses down.
I will admit she does have to stop her brother's failure and not get incinerated/let the tower she's standing in collapse.

>they thought it was dead
No they fucking didn't. Did you even watch the episode. That thing was chained to the ground and still active.
>they were going to execute it for burning a town
Probably.
>What the fuck do you want them to do? Throw it in dragon jail?
Doesn't change the facts that they were at fault for opening fire first, and Claudia was jumping up and down with delight squirming like a schoolgirl happy about all the parts she could harvest because she's a fucking sociopath.

Yes. Because if your only argument is "hurr theyre powerful" then fuck off. They're sentient, living, feeling beings capable of political discourse.

I'm not sure you understand what territory is, but usually anyone in violation of trespassing is not treated kindly. Ask Thunder. He'll tell you the same fucking thing.

>Did you even watch the episode.
>"I think it's dead, but we can't be too sure. Secure the dragon."
Did you?

>"hurr theyre powerful"
Yes, they're powerful. It's stated multiple times that Zym will grow up to be the most powerful being in all of Xadia, and when you consider that there are probably a lot of archmages that can fuck shit up, that is saying something.

None of that even matters, because he was a fucking egg at the time. Unborn. A fetus. He doesn't even come close to people like Tywin Lannister who smashed actual babies.

Imagine walking around a neighborhood with an AK-47. People are going to be threatened by you. You may even be attacked or the police may be called on you. You need to be smart, you can't put yourself in a dangerous position and blame the aggressor. Nor is conflict as black and white as the aggressor is always at fault. It shouldn't matter who does something first because both sides are capable of doing ugly things. Put things in contest, a dragon is circle around a town routinely, during war times, where the king as far as people know was assassinated. People will be on edge and tension and want to defend themselves. Especially since theres innocent people in that town. So the dragon is just as fault if not more for putting it self in that situation.

Attached: thank you.gif (640x360, 2.05M)

Think about what you’re saying for a second. If an apache pilot flies round enemy territory, it doesn’t matter if the pilot just wanted to see the sights; that fucker is getting shot down. Said pilot especially doesn’t get to say he dindu nuffin if he responds to AA defences by promptly glassing the entire village rather than just the batteries.
The ONLY thing Soren did wrong was failing to make sure he couldn’t get the overgrown newt out the sky in one salvo.

>Imagine walking around a neighborhood with an AK-47. People are going to be threatened by you. You may even be attacked or the police may be called on you. So the dragon is just as fault if not more for putting it self in that situation.
Remind me to never be armed in a liberal community, or be black in general.

The thread’s near autosage. You don’t need to politically derail the point and hope you don’t have to address it.

Unless you live in literal Somalia or some similar literal shithole, you dont need to be open carrying a fucking *AK-47 in the public*, we arent talking about not be able to carry other stuff

It seemed to me like the dragon was acting like Ned and Jimbo
>oh no, they’re coming right for us!

Ahhh yes, the infamous bill of needs. Protecting us from peace officers, seizure of property, and and unfair government.

>bill of needs
Take it to /pol/. We're talking dragon politics right now.

It was a show of force to encourage an enemy to back down without actual bloodshed... like when the US sends a carrier group to park offshore of some country talking shit.

Soren shooting an arrow at the dragon is the equivalent of Iran or whoever saying "hey, let's take a shot at the carrier, it'll be fucking badass" and then being shocked when bombers level a city in response

The right of the people to keep and bear dragons shall not be infringed

Retard.
They sit outside national boarders, including ocean boarders. They don't park right on the fucking shore or fly directly over cities.

A show of force is when we would fly fighters across the north pole to the Soviet Union until turning back at the last minute. Which means, not flying right into their fucking airspace.

That excuse doesn’t fly when you’ve already sent troops across the border and assassinated a leader. It especially doesn’t fly when you’ve repeatedly shown you give so little shits about diplomacy that you have a kill on sight policy for trespassing.
And no, vessels intended for a show of force don’t level cities in response to a pot shot. You have heard of the Geneva convention, right?

>That excuse doesn’t fly when you’ve already sent troops across the border and assassinated a leader.
Like when the humans snuck into Xadia, assassinated the Dragon King, and stole his unborn child?

>You have heard of the Geneva convention, right?
US hasn't bothered ratifying any of the amendments to the GC made since 1955. The rest of the world can suck our dick.

Right, you’re agreeing with me. There is no way that dragon’s presence was anything other than a threat given the tensions of the time, and precedent from the human and elf relations show that killing trespassers on sight is exactly what can be expected.
And the fact that the US plays fast and loose with the convention doesn’t change the fact that vessels used for shows of force don’t level cities. Unless you have a few examples, of course.

Viren can’t be all bad.
He clearly lets Runaan use the internet.

Does Kim Jong Un even have a daughter?

Purportedly he has a son, age 9, a daughter, age 6 or 7 and a third child whose sex is not known.

Either you're trolling, or you actually have mental health issues.

> Is Callum worse than Marco from star vs?
Hell no. Callum has a clear goal and desire that is tied to something that does not revolve around a love interest: He wants to return the dragon prince to Xadia and end the war. Marco has lacked direction since season 2, unless you're one of those "big brain" people that think hooking up with Star is an interesting and strong character motivation. However, even if Marco wanting to get together with star is his character's driving force, he does little in the way of perusing that goal, but then again it's hard comparing a protagonist to a sidekick.

Glad you understand, no go back to those brainlets in the Shera threads so the adults can discuss an actually good netflix cartoon
