It's a very weird fantasy series that's half generic fantasy series, half edgy nonsense.

All the bad guys are Rapunzel's friends and they always turn on her because magical moon rocks cause problems and Rapunzel being a princess is willing to put the needs of many above the needs of the few, which inevitably makes her friends buttmad

But Rapunzel isn't even like callous or anything and half the time the problem her friends turn Sasuke complain about is their own damn fault, like Varian begging Rapunzel to help him and his father in a snow storm that threatens the lives of the entire Kingdom.

Rapunzel naturally helps the Kingdom first, and when Varian finds his father encased in moon sap(entirely because of him), he blames Rapunzel for being too late even though his dad became completely encased in moonsap the moment he left to find help.

In general all the betrayals in Tangled the Adventure boil down to magical moonrocks and shitty friends
