>Characters that are jobbers that shouldn't really be jobbers.
So, just jobbers in general?

What makes a jobber a jobber is exactly the fact that they shouldn't be. If they're legitimately getting wrecked then they're not jobbers.

Giganta.

She has the ability to tell the square-cube law to go fuck itself. This should make her virtually invulnerable at larger sizes, only damageable by higher tier super strength.

On top of that, she's a super scientist whose most notable invention was a mind swapping device. Doris is, in theory, the equivalent of a kaiju with gadgets. And yet...

is he the last memorable Spider Man villain we haven't saw in live action yet?

This one still pisses me off. She's now a literary tool to show how big a threat is
>"Oh my god! They knocked out Giganta!"

Colossus and The Thing. Every time they are fighting without their respective teams they job harder than Yamcha

Modern Black Bolt is a jobber. Same can be said about modern Thor. Fuck Aaron.

Sure. Let's trust the guy named Apocalypse who calls himself a messiah. That can't possibly lead to something bad.

Power levels, yo. I mean, you could show off a character by having them be clever about defeating a powerful opponent, have them use strategy or exploit their weakness or something... but that requires thought, so just say their number is bigger and call it a day.

He was in Homecoming, just not in costume.

Sometimes villains cut off your legs and you're willing to side with an obvious villain if he's offering to help you when nobody else would.

What a poignant take on healthcare reform.

Because the X-men wouldn't allow Elixir to regrow his legs for him.

I think its harder to point out a Villain who ISNT a jobber, or at least never jobbed in some point of his career.

at least it could be a villain that isn't brought back every once and while as a smaller threat he was last time

this
and SPOT and ELECTRO

Ozymandias

I only remember Batman and Flash getting to look good consistently.

Kraven, Carnage, and Hobgoblin.

i think the idea of Apocolypse being mutant Jesus but also a villain could be interesting
but really, his name is Apocolypse

I honestly like it when being powerful doesn't necessarily make an effective threat.
Like there's the smarts angle, and also the ambition or how far a villains ready to go.

Scorpion's problem is that ge's essentially punching at his weight level, I want to see some arc about some criminals hiring him to take down Daredevil or Punisher. Having him tank a machine gun or grenades and force Frank to actually retreat and get hunted for a while would really re-establish him as more than a mook.

Carnage is in the post credits scene in Venom

Semi related, literally read this the other day. Granted Iron Man should be able to beat Kraven, this defeat was hilarious. Especially Tony dragging him off like a sack of shit.

Him and Ironfist aren't allowed to hit other kung fu guys because it would be instant death. So they danced around and slapped up.

Reminds me of Human Torch's problem
>could easily defeat many villains by reducing them to ashes in seconds
>can't because he's a hero so instead just flies around them and maybe burns their weapon or puts a ring of fire around them
>most villains strong enough to actually fight his flame power just no sell it and stomp him

The problem with Scorpion is somewhat tragic. His suit was built by a bunch of rich assholes who thought he could match Spider-Man's strength. What they didn't know is that Spidey holds back to a ridiculous amount and anytime Scorpion shows up, all Spider-Man has to do is give 1.62% more of a shit and he curb-stomps him.

Scorpion is a solid 4, but Spider-Man can go to 10.

Kraven is a basically weaker, slower, less durable and less agile Spider-man. Why would a discount Spider-man be capable of putting up a fight against Iron-man.

Iron-man at his best would be capable of easily defeating Spider-man at his best. Especially if you consider that Iron-man is vastly more powerful than Spider-man physically and have bunch of other abilities at his disposal that Spider-man lacks. Was also capable of creating a artificial Spider-sense and installing into his Iron-man suits at one point before writers totally forgot about it. Was even capable of creating something that jams the Spider-sense.

I know that, I just enjoyed Kraven talking shit then getting bodied and dragged away like a sack of potatoes.

How recent was this bullshit decided?

I don't remember any of the old comics stating 'Urgh, Scorpion is literally killing me right now in this battle for my life where I'm giving it all I've got... Oh wait I'm holding back lol'.

Because I have a feeling it's just from Dan the hack Slott.

Wasn't Scorpion originally equal to Spider-man physically without the suit but more powerful than Spider-man physically without the suit? If anything, it feels like Scorpion got nerfed hard.

Didn't Spider-man broke his hand punching Scorpion the wrong way at one point?

Was it JL where he gets his awesome "World of Cardboard" speech or was that TAS?

Superman said that to Darkseid in the JL cartoon before sending him away like a jobber.

And I hate the fuck out of this. Marvel will not let them go full Akuma. Cap America fans will swear that he is a master fighter, but the guy can't even split a island in half with a punch.

They rarely ever bring up how much Spider-Man holds back, but it's basically shown when he fights Scorpion, the only thing he has to worry about is the tail. A straight slug to the webhead's jaw doesn't even make him lose a step noawadays since he can benchpress subway cars when he's pissed.

Yup, he got nerfed because Venom became the "Anti-Spider-Man" and relegated Scorpion to jobber tier.

Has she done anything at all in this shitty Uncanny run? At this point she should basically be the cool older sister type that younger guys (and girls) lust after.

Fuck now that I think about it writers are really missing out by not making Jubilee into an ara ara onee-san.
