Say we get another Green Lantern movie who should it focus on,Jordan Stewart or Rayner?
Say we get another Green Lantern movie who should it focus on,Jordan Stewart or Rayner?
Guy Gardner
Rayner with him being trained by Gal and John and saving Hal at the end.
I wish for a rule 63 Hal Jordan!
*Guy
Hal needs to star with Jon as a major secondary character. Start the movie off with Kyle in the fridge.
Rayner, it's a good focal point to launch a franchise and it gives you leeway in casting since he's an artist from Cali
It'll either be John and Guy or John and Hal. It definitely won't be solo Hal.
Ok, I've got some questions for you lanternanons.
1) Why is Earth such a hotbed for lanterns? Crazy how many guys are from there. Do they ever bring this up in-universe?
2) Since the Guardians have been... Y'know Guarding the universe for the last 13 billion years or so, why is it now that all the major events are happening? (Aside from the Manhunter thing). We got the Sinestro corps war, The Third Army, Darkstars, War of Light and Relic (I'll give you Blackest Night because that was prophecy) in a relatively short span of time.
3)What is the biggest thing that happened to the between GL Pre-Hal and Post-Massacre 666?
I want Jon Stewart to be racebent into a Jew, just so Jon Stewart, can be played by Jon Stewart.
Kyle Rayner.
Get Ryan Reynolds back to play Parallax.
>focusing on one specific lantern
Nah, you gotta make it a buddy cop movie where a new recruit hangs out with the old guard
the new recruit fucks up and loses the trust of everyone but their partner and together they discover the big bad's real plans
the main earth lanterns team together with a couple of the popular recurring non earth lanterns fight to make sure the day is saved
I think it has something to do with Earth being the center of the universe
wouldnt mind kyle rayner tbqh
Jordan, the only Lantern that matters. But they'll do Kyle, because his origin is a setup for "oh all the other Lanterns are gone!" and his habit for cartoony constructs will let the movie have all those jokes capeflicks just have to have now. Thank God for the sexist Endgame edit, they may have gone too far with how much they took out but the lack of Larson & quips is worth it.
I don't think they ever said it, but Earth is the source of a lot of evil superhumans, some of which are a threat to the universe at large, so it bears watching by more than one Lantern.
Earth is the center of the multiverse, it's the primary resonant harmonic point of all multiversal frequencies.
Oa is the spatial center of the universe
Jack black
Guy and John, classic by the book guy and loose cannon guy doing space cop stuff, no universe ending threat but maybe someone that stole a macguffin that destroy a planet or something if it's not returned and they have to track down who stole it and return it
The DC universes are finite in size right?
If they want people to actually be excited about the movie, then John Stewart is the guy they should use. He's the Green Lantern Millennial normies grew up with in those Justice League cartoons that they still remember fondly.
They won't though, they'll keep trying to force Hal on an audience that's at best lukewarm to him.
Jessica.
I'd either:
>Focus on Hal and his relationship with Sinestro under his tutelage; they start of resenting each other, then form a friendship, which is strained as Sinestro falls deeper and deeper into tyranny
Or:
>Start off with all four main Earth Lanterns already established, and jump directly into Sinestro Corps War, with Sinestro's backstory being conveyed through context
As in there's an edge to them? No, they have the same expanding universe thing going on that we do in real life. But, DC universes are also twice as large as ours.
The fact that the DC universe has a center (Oa) and also a boundary (the Source Wall) suggests that instead of being boundless like our own universe, it's finite and bounded.
What if it goes on forever?
You can reach the source wall but its still moving away from the big bang just very slowly.
Earth is the universe ghetto. Aliens roll up the windows when they drive by.
A bounded but expanding universe is still bounded.
Our universe is expanding, but it's boundless. When we say that the universe is expanding, we don't mean that it's some finite thing that's expanding out into some sort of external space. It's more like things are getting further apart from each other, and that this receding of objects from each other is the same everywhere, so that no matter where in the universe you are, everything is moving away from you (unless it's held together by gravity, of course).
no, she's dumb
Honestly GL would work best as an animated film, I wish WB would follow on Spiderman's success and give GL to a talented studio and just tell them to go wild with it, fuck the Bruce Timm style because at this point its just cheap and lazy.
As for the story, a Stewart/Gardner buddy cop or Parallax with Reynolds voicing Hal.
It should star Kyle Rivera and Jessica Cruz in east LA. They should both speak very broken english.
All lantern energy comes from a spot in Minnesota. Where the white lantern was buried. And all life in the universe originated from Earth because of it.
Also the Yellow, Orange, and Red entities came from there.
Well if you go by Legion of Superheroes lore this period in time is the greatest period for heroes ever, makes sense that they’d have the greatest threats
fpbp
This could be fun.
Ok, but were there any major events between The 666 Massacre and Hal getting the ring for the first time? Seems like pretty quiet millions of years.
The battle with Apokolips for one
Kilowog, Jess rookie sidekick
It's a space buddy cop
Rookie Kyle with buddy cop Guy and commissioner figure Stewart looking for their a bad guy which turns out to be comrade turned rogue Hal.
Anyone ever wonder why Kyle’s almost never in any GL other media?
only if she has her short hair look from JL vs FF
