Finally watched Change Your Mind. What did Yea Forums think of it?
Steven Universe
You first, user.
Underwhelming. Better in concept than execution.
Pacing was really bad.
Some good scenes, but overall was not that good.
Really enjoyed it, favorite episode of the show. Not without its issues though like the first quarter and everything that wasn't the corruption healing montage when they go back to Earth, has a point. Loved White, loved the new fusions (and it made sense for them to fuse during their most deadly situation like Pearl said all the way back in S1). I just want a follow-up on the healed gems and I'll be sound as a pound.
It had everything it needed to be a 10/10 finale, but the entire second half was undercooked fucking raw.
It gets points for Obsidian and the White Diamond encounter inside the ship having actual stakes regarding the main cast's lives, but the ending was so fucking awful that it retroactively made the rest of the second half worse, and the fight with White Diamond's ship was fucking stagnant, they never explored the city.
It even took one of the most anticipated moments in the show and sped through it just to squeeze it in for no reason; all the corruptions were healed without any focus.
6.5/10
>"aah, Herr Universe, such an interesting hybrid you are! I really like your gemstone! This will help greatly, for... my... research."
Did anyone else see this in the thumbnail?
I thought your thumbnail had a nude blue lady and was disappointed.
Why would they explore the city when they're trying to escape Homeworld?
Not necessarily 'explore,' just movement in general. Like you said, they were trying to escape Homeworld.
But there was no chase. It would've been the perfect time for one.
It had a cheap, shitty, and rushed resolution but with a few good moments.
I do now.
OK yeah, that I get. It was a bit too enclosed for its own good, but everything from Steven falling to when they get into White's head was great to me so I guess it did what it needed to in terms of the plot.
DON'T YOU FUCKING TOUCH HIM!
Everyone brings up Hitler and nazis as a counterpoint to Steven's "ebyone gud inside:)" philosophy, but how would he fare with fictional alien factions like the Dark Eldar? I know Yea Forums agreed that Irkins would btfo homeworld.
Need some context here user. What tier of power are they on?
>Dark Eldar
Nobody is interested with your hyperfantasy nerd bullshit.
>hyperfantasy nerd bullshit
Coming off as a newfag right now
you can take off your cringey warhammer bullshit to .
>how would he fare with fictional alien factions like the Dark Eldar?
I know you 40k fags like to brag off your "2deep" tabletop trash into every other board, but we don't want it in here.
They're direct descendants of space elves who murderfucked a lust god into existence. In order to avoid having their souls devoured by said god, they torture and enslave many innocents by feeding on their misery. They may or may not be the most scientifically advanced faction in 40k, but they pack some fucking gnarly weapons that shoot miniature black holes. They rely on trickery and murder rape anyone and anything they please. However, due to their low numbers and heavy costs to go out raiding, they either trick or attack unsuspecting and weak targets. By weak targets, I mean weak planetary defenses, since they can abduct entire world populations. They use a webway that can open anywhere in the galaxy. The only thing that keeps them in check is their low numbers and they worry about themselves too much because they're an entire race of vain motherfuckers. No sense dying for glory if your tainted soul goes straight to a rape god after death.
>we don't want it in here
>he says after a popular thread about a 40k was posted here yesterday
...Steve had a good run and he will be missed.
>still thinks Yea Forums is one person
Blue and Yellow were won over entirely too easily.
And White.
That and the folks in the thread he mentioned kept to themselves, what is doing is on par with typical brony behavior and the Homestuck fandom in general.
Nah, they were fine.
An extra few minutes for each and 2-3 more episodes in the arc itself and it would've been perfect. As is, their motivations are rushed but at least believable.
It was very rushed OP. Maybe if there was actual focus in episodes building up to the finale I would have liked it. Yet, this is not the finale. I have a feeling some behind the scenes problems between CN and the crewniverse forced the team to wrap up as fast as they can because they feared the story will get cut off before being finished. They got greenlit for another season too late and now they're gonna wrap up overlooked loose ends.
But that's just my conspiracy theory.
Nice
Nah that sounds about right based on what we know.
>They got greenlit for another season too late and now they're gonna wrap up overlooked loose ends.
We'll either see a complete new season with a new antagonist like Sugar had promised, or S6 will simply be a boring shitfest with filler townie episodes.
I always thought the new antagonist would be from the new film? Or did I miss something?
It seemed... rushed. Not enough buildup.
I likened it to being held hostage in a basement by a madwoman who keeps you barely alive by feeding you crumbs whenever she feels like it.
Then, one day, she comes down to your dungeon with a ten-course meal. And you have to eat it all in one sitting.
>S6 will simply be a boring shitfest with filler townie episodes.
I hope it will be about Steven finding a way to restore shattered gems.
Also, it would be funny if he finds the key - or rather, Greg has a key that he gives to Steven on his fifteenth birthday - to the chest in Lion's hair... so he finally opens it... and inside is a bubble with a pink diamond in it.
>"I really hope that if you're (...) waiting to watch more stuff (...) that you don't think of the break between "Change Your Mind" and what comes next as waiting for more of this show, because this version of it is done. There's going to be more, but it's going to be different, and it's going to be something new."
Sugar said this about what's gonna happen after the Homeworld arc had ended.
It made me HAPPY
I enjoyed it immensely and I still cry tears of joy when I listen to the We Are The Crystal Gems there
It did do that.
But I still think White Diamond is 95% wasted potential.
The chest will contain only more useless junk and Steven will realize he has to move on instead of messing around with past
it was shit
>complaining about /tg/ shit when Yea Forums shit and only tangentially relates Yea Forums shit and /pol/ shit are allowed to run rampant on this board constantly
Not him but uou're acting like this is the worst of Yea Forums spam when for the most part other unrelated anime powerlevel faggotry gets constant threads on a consistent basis.
They Game of Thrones'd a season worth of episodes into one long dumb episode.
Rushed and Ruined.
Eh, I'd say 75% wasted potential at most
Yea Forums and Yea Forums were always around and it's now impossible to separate those from Yea Forums threads (i.e. Simpsons and AS threads). /tg/ shit is completely unrelated with those unless a /tg/ related stuff becomes a cartoon.
