>Get ready for more bear hugs and smiles. Grizz, Panda and Ice Bear are going on a couple of new kinds of adventures.
>Cartoon Network announced Thursday that “We Bare Bears” is getting a TV movie and a spinoff.
>Currently in production, “We Bare Bears the Movie” will follow the stackable bear bros as their love of food trucks and internet fame leads to a bit of unexpected mayhem. Grizz (Eric Edelstein), Panda (Bobby Moynihan) and Ice Bear (Demetri Martin) will find themselves having to go on a wild, dangerous and likely hilarious adventure to escape a foe who threatens to tear them apart. The TV movie is slated for a 2020 premiere.
>While the adult bears are prepping for a feature-length adventure, a spinoff based on the Baby Bears is also in development at Cartoon Network.
>“We Bare Bears” creator Daniel Chong previously told The Times that when the show debuted, he and his writers thought they would maybe do one or two Baby Bear episodes a season.
>But fans loved those flashback episodes that focused on the cute younger versions of the main characters, and the crew started to really love their adventures too.
>“The nice thing about the Baby Bears is that they can kind of be anywhere,” Chong said last year. “You can almost push their adventures a little bit more outlandish because they’re babies and we can put them in more ridiculous situations. For some reason, it feels a little bit more doable than with the adult bears.”
>Chong will executive produce both the “We Bare Bears” spinoff and TV movie.
>a spinoff based on the Baby Bears is also in development at Cartoon Network While We Bare Bears is still airing? Does it even air often as is? There's no way it can have more going on then the nothingness of WBB Why is Cartoon Network so dead this feels like the Yo Yogis of the late 80s/early 90s
Isaac Williams
I hope we see how the Baby Bears meet
Landon Hall
Pretty much the only animated show I just rejected. Given everything else a good shot, this just makes me change channels instantly. Show is dull, Griz is annoying, and Dmetri Martin is actually worse than Jimmy Fallon
I like the concept of this as a show. Three bears taking care of a homeless child in the woods sounds better than what we got. It places more stakes on the bears adventures.
Dylan Thomas
>been ignoring this show since inception >it's obscenely popular worldwide >it has cute girls
What was in the rest of the leak Why is everyone ambiguously brown here?
Wyatt Morgan
>Apple & Onion getting a new season >new season of Summer Camp Island this summer >new shows: Kevin 11, Villianous, Infinity Train, Mao Mao, Tig 'N' Seek, The Fungies >a live action/CGI hybrid PPG movie >Teen Titans Go! vs The Teen Titans
Elijah Diaz
>new season of Summer Camp Island this summer >giving that shitty ben 10 reboot a spin off I see CN isnt done trying to destroy itself by trying to be a preschool channel
Nathaniel Barnes
Based as fuck, hates BTFO
Gabriel Morales
Yeah, it truly is “based” to keep funneling attention and money in a product disliked by the majority if your target audience
They should just make WBB a worst korea exclusive so the states can be rid of this shit already.
Elijah Sanchez
It has it's moments. Panda deep down wants to kill the normies, Grizzly tried to get little girls to kill him, and Ice is autistic.
Nolan Watson
It's like Terrace House of Yea Forums Comfy as fuck
Ryan Cruz
Reminder that comfy is not a real adjective, and that if you use it to describe something it means you have no real definition on why said show is good besides some meaningless buzzword and therefore should rethink your life because of it
Evan Rivera
SEETHING
Samuel Gomez
>it's a millerfag episode
Jeremiah Flores
>millerfag Oh boy, good to see this retard is still on this schtick of his
Luke Nelson
If you think the animated equivalent to soothing ASMR ocean sounds for retarded children is a good show, then youre the problem here, not me
Andrew Harris
> t. Boomer who can't get with the times
Josiah Sullivan
T. Zoomer who only wants soft white noise with zero threat of being offensive for his consumable media
Connor Garcia
They've made the only racist joke CN made this century and most bad guys are brown. This show is based and redpilled.
Dylan Hill
Stay mad, cuckboi
Angel Smith
>Can't even do the t. meme right Sure is reddit in here right now
Juan Hernandez
>Dmetri Martin is actually worse than Jimmy Fallon His standup is pleb filter
Elijah Perry
Great, even more gumdrop teeth and bean mouths.
Utterly phenomenal.
Grayson Williams
Almost all of the characters are brown, so it doesnt count. Plus their was that whole episode about the “evil whore male” being the bad guy because he dared to want affection from that bitch he was stuck on the island with. Liking WBB is the most reddit opinion you can have, besides liking R&M season 3 or post season 3 adventure time
Andrew Ward
I faintly remember a few friends of mine enjoying this show 3 years back.
And despite having absolutely zero cultural impact or artistic merit, it still goes on. Imagine if Freddy Got Fingered got regular sequels every 5-6 years and that's how much this show matters.
Isaiah Butler
>Imagine if Freddy Got Fingered got regular sequels every 5-6 years and that's how much this show matters. But FGF was actually hilarious user
It was hilarious, but it stayed in its moment and didn't try to be something longer than it was. We Bare Bears shouldn't have been more than a season or two long before just going away.
Luis Robinson
>It was hilarious, but it stayed in its moment and didn't try to be something longer than it was. We Bare Bears shouldn't have been more than a season or two long before just going away. Ah, so thats what you meant by that comparison. And i agree, we bare bears shouldve died off years ago, its only kept alive because of south koreans creepy obsession with it. Thats why i said that it should be just aired their since wed be better off without it
Isaiah Hughes
It filled a hole left open by the end of RS; adults who they're also going to lose when Gumball ends.
Andrew Morris
The show is alright. I'd hate to see it go, though I'm not surprised it'd come to an end. Looks like they might leave it open for a new season. Not a fan of the babies, but if their target demographic likes it, I understand.
We Bare Bears, is an example of what happens when Asian American '''''males'''' are given unrestricted creative freedom
Easton Young
You get a show about orphan millennials?
Aiden Hall
The guy was going to kill babies so his Stacy wouldn't try to leave the Island. Another brown guy was trying to steal money from babies he made friends with.
Jeremiah Gonzalez
Amazing how now the issue isnt about censors restricting freedoms, but talentless creators restricting their content so they dont seem problematic
It's bland humour, reliance on current year and culture and animal protags make it appealing to a wide audience (Korea's its biggest market)
Carson Hill
>bland humour, reliance on current year and culture and animal protags make it appealing to a wide audience How does bland humor and cringe social media jokes appeal to anyone? >(Korea's its biggest market) More reason why we should just let NK nuke the shot outve them, the world will be finally rid of their autism for good
Chase Turner
That "leak" didn't even have the WBB movie on it. It's fake as fuck.
Alexander Cooper
>Diverse background cast like this can pic related for woke points >They're in the background so they don't alienate whites and east asians
Because it’s cute, has bunch if Korean references in it, and appeals to normies.
t. KKKorean
Henry Wilson
>millerfaggot is still at it
Elijah Russell
>its cute so it doesnt need to be funny or creative This is why south korea needs to burn in nuclear fire, rid the world of your awful taste and influence dragging down our cartoons to cater to it once and for all
Nolan Sanchez
Huh thought this show got cancelled after season 3. What caused the popularity?
Mason Scott
Are you still going on with this, geez youre an idiot.
Jason Hill
it get's ok viewership and lands well over seas with merch and shit, i think there mascots for a baseball team or something.
Why does this show never address how San Francisco is a cesspool of homeless, drugs, and feces?
Jaxon Bell
Because all the other states are allowed to be shitholes on television except California.
David Carter
what fucking cartoons? it's literally just one show based schizo
Jaxson Cooper
Koreans, like most people, love to get their dicks sucked. This show is at least 60% gookwank.
Thomas Wright
>earth gets attacked by warrior aliens from space >the bears don't really react unless to complain about things like their favorite indies movie house being destroyed overnight by "mysterious" causes >when the aliens confront the bears directly, they are eventually defeated by the bears doing mundane brainless bear stuff like rolling around or climbing up trees that end up breaking and dropping them right on top of the aliens, killing them by accident I would definitely give this show a watch.
Brayden King
I don't like this show, but I gotta hand it to them. They at least fill crowd scenes with completely different character models, unlike some shows.
Nicholas Davis
>Loud House fag right for once Broken Clocks and all that WHB is blandness incarnate. It’s barely one step up from watching paint dry.
Sebastian Morgan
One show this bad is reason enough.
Grayson Roberts
>shit taste Sorry but what? If anything if you like we bore bears you have shit taste, not the other way around.
Ian Fisher
Honestly its a good show to watch when you're in the mood to watch a cartoon but not feel like paying attention to anything.
Brayden Bennett
>Honestly its a good show to watch when you're in the mood to watch a cartoon but not feel like paying attention to anything. Then whats the point of a cartoon if its only used as background noise?
John Thomas
Man, Asia is sure making this show get huge. >Movie Might be alright. >Baby Bear spinoff Fucking burn it. Baby bear episodes were the worst.
Grayson Garcia
Of course south koreans, a country obsessed with obedience to a totalitarian degree, would love a show with lame humor and inoffensive content, makes sense for the country that bans porn and cans your for spitting gum out on the street.
What is the point of the Baby Bears episodes when you know from the fortune teller machine they never get adopted?
Jeremiah Morales
Koreans or something
Ryan Ross
There's a new CEO, you know. Schedules and stuff are made in advance.
Easton Martinez
Its every bit as horrible, i dont care about waifus as long as the show is good on its own terms. It cant even be funny because that would involve taking risks.
James Ortiz
How much cock do you think she's getting from college guys?
Jack Barnes
Timbox just happened to make one accurate guess.
Eli Lopez
>Steven Universe >We Bare Bears >We BABY Bears >Ben 10 >Kevin 11 >Apple & Onion >Craig of the Creek >Summer Camp Island >Victor and Valentino >Mao Mao: Heroes of Pure Heart (even if it’s really a Titmouse show disguised as a CN Studios show) >Infinity Train >Tig n’ Seek >Close Enough That’s way too many damn productions all at once. OK K.O.! is dead, bros
You know from the adult show they never get adopted.
Owen Lewis
>Ben 10 >>Kevin 11 >>Apple & Onion >>Craig of the Creek >>Summer Camp Island Why keep these shows, especially the last three. Also why does bean mouth ben get a spin off when the reboot never airs?
Jason Edwards
Its a tv movie.
William Brooks
>it's easy for me to project my autistic fantasies onto characters from this show because they have no personalities to begin with!
There's no Chloe in baby bear episodes. In fact, there's no cast outside the bears just based on the nature of the show. I really hope they at least do the occasional adult bear episodes. It Charlie episodes since he's immortal.
>Baby Bears spinoff So, does that mean no more Baby Bears episodes in the regular series? Couldn't they have just made the number of Baby episodes and the number of Present Day episodes a little more balanced (50% of each)?
This honestly feels even more unnecessary than The Casagrandes.
Most of the voice cast were only slightly less expensive than Patton Oswalt and Demetri Martin. Though it had success in Asian countries, english speaking countries couldn't justify the cost. That's my guess.
Michael Carter
>Also why does bean mouth ben get a spin off when the reboot never airs? Toys
Blake Hill
Panda going full beta uprising was an episode though
Elijah Perez
"What's with all these faggots stealing Seth's idea? First, the hispanic girl, now these damn bears? This shit is getting tiring Peter."
>Toys I have never seen reboot ben10 toys sell, ever >a show that encouraged NP
Nathan Cruz
This show does nothing but pander to Koreans, Japanese and Chinks by showing characters of those ethnicities and even entire scenes set in China. They even managed to squeeze in references to obscure Asian countries no one has heard about. It has made me despise Asian Americans to an extent only Crazy Rich Asians and To All The Boys I've Loved Before has done
>It has made me despise Asian Americans to an extent only Crazy Rich Asians and To All The Boys I've Loved Before has done How? Crazy Rich Asians was good, why are you blaming it for your hate? The show also has an episode in Mexico, a few black episodes, Canadian, and Russian episodes.
Caleb Phillips
>The leaks are real Guess that means we are getting a Kevin 11 show.
Xavier White
Did he declare himself a perfect gentleman?
Easton Nguyen
The one on the left was in a rural Japanese village in the 90s. That's a tan, while Chloe spends more time indoors.
Eli Russell
Not necessarily. CN had registered the name "We Baby Bears" before the article, so it could have been a guess based on that.
Ethan Carter
Isn't that /pol/'s christcuck """""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""waifu"""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""?
Nicholas Butler
Is that really a man?
Carson Peterson
>Crazy Rich Asians was good
It was just a run of the mill fish out of water chick flick that American progressives fapped over because of how exotic and novel it was. But the fact that it failed miserably in other international markets and even in China and Korea should tell you that no one likes Asian Americans, especially not Asians themselves
Liam Sullivan
Well with that and the blogspot lacking the movie I'd say that proves it 100% fake.
John Bell
It wasn't run of the mill, there were good laughs, memorable characters, and a heavy theme of east vs west philosophy of happiness that makes it stand out as original and meaningful beyond "wow, Asians!" How well it did in Asia is only relevant to the cynical and jaded conversation you'd rather be having.
Henry Lee
The blogspot was about upcoming series, not events. It doesn't prove anything beyond getting just this one right doesn't prove it to be real.
Evan Brooks
You most definitely are
Matthew Diaz
except that only Asian Americans like Crazy Rich Asians, while We Bare Bears is loved by people from Asia
Samuel Fisher
I saw CRA with a bunch of whites and hispanics. They loved it.
Asher Scott
Because fucking look at the designs of the main characters. Asians eat that sort of shit up.
IIRC it's also decently popular in Japan and China too
Because it's not popular where you live. The world does not revolve around you. It's the same deal with the 5 below TTG merch you mention every time someone explains why CN keeps promoting that show; just because it's not popular in your country doesn't mean it's not popular in other countries.
How old are the fans of this show? Throw that whole generation into a giant wood chipper.
Eli James
>ben 10 Makes CN a ton of money through toy sales. It's quite possibly CN's most lucrative property right now >Kevin 11 See above >Apple & Onion Falls in the category of "filler" cartoons that are so cheap to produce that they end up making enough of a profit to justify their continued existence >Craig of the Creek Moderately popular and can be aired in any order, meaning fewer episodes need to be produced >Summer Camp Island Just barely started, CN's still trying to see how well it'll do
Dylan Flores
Mid teens through mid 20s. It got popular for the same reason Garfield did; it's so generic that literally anyone with a pulse could relate to it, and the designs make for good toys
Hunter Walker
Oh no, please not an spinoff about the baby versions...
Jack Perry
Started watching it in my late 20s, still watching it in my 30s. It's just endearing characters and, yes, hashtagrelatable stuff.
Cameron Rodriguez
‘We Bare Bears’ is apparently really popular in China/Hong Kong. I don’t think it’s that great.
Aiden Sanchez
It's popular all over East Asia IIRC
Eli Lewis
You can find it being sold in authentic Japanese stores. It's honorary Asian.
Brody Sanchez
Oh yeah, that’s what I meant. It’s a ,merchandising juggernaut there. I happen to see someone’s twitter account and they were showing off all the WBB stuff you can buy.
