Azula vs Elsa

This. Elsa is pretty much an ice goddess but she has no training. While she can bring ice to life and create ornate items like castles and dresses, deep down she's still a confused and scared little girl with attachments to her sister and Azula can use that.

Having opposite powers doesn't make them evenly matched. Elsa froze an entire kingdom. Azula can't even make fire in an adjacent room. Also, Elsa can create sapient life. There's no hope for Azula or anyone.

Elsa is orders of magnitude more powerful despite being completely untrained.
But I give it to Azula unless she's crazy like the finale, because she is a killer, a liar, and an opportunist.

I never watched frozen but I saw a preview for Frozen2 that was Elsa just running into the ocean and getting her shit kicked in by a wave repeatedly.

Mid-tier waterbenders would've been basically ice-surfing on frozen waves so I think Azula's got this.

But what if they fuck tho?

Azula was mentally unstable. and it hindered her fighting skill as Zuko noticed. and Katara only won because of an environmental advantage too.

Elsa has no counter to lightning bending outside of just dodging it, but considering Elsa was almost taken down by 2 guys with swords, I doubt she could even pull that of.

Couldn't Elsa just create an army of Marshmallows to fight for her?

Azula is fast, but even she can't get through a whole army of ice giants in the middle of a blizzard.

It wouldn't be a "Fire vs Ice" so much as it would be an Azula vs Elsa.
Azula is absolutely brutal and merciless when fighting while Elsa, doubt she would have a quarter the amount of combat experience Azula has, if any at all, so it would be a matter of raw elemental power vs speed and precision, if Elsa can overwhelm Azula with her ice before Azula can zap her with lightning or if Azula can melt Elsa's ice with her blue fire, if Azula gets close, it'll be over like when an assassin class gets within melee range to a mage/wizard/witch class, it's over, however, if Elsa is proficient enough with her to instantly cover herself in a thick layer of solid ice block + freezing anything nearby then that might turn the tables, provided that Azula doesn't instantly self-immolate to counter the freezing.
Would make for a very interesting battle to watch.

People in this thread are seriously underrating Elsa's capacity to shut Azula down.
Firebending barely even works if the the bender is put through terrible cold. Elsa could essentially neuter Azula before she even got to a battlefield.
The heartfreeze is also pretty much guaranteed to shut down Azula's bending, and Elsa can do this as a simple panic reaction. It will also not miss as it is a 360 degree wave of cold that reaches far longer than anything Azula can do except a lightning bolt.
Honestly, If both are made aware of eachother and given time to prepare for battle, Azula just loses, as her powers won't work in the environment(no thunderbolting when you've been in the cooler) and Elsa's powers will outright prevent her from getting close- if they can catch crossbow bolts, they can catch Azula.
If we say they run into eachother and are aware of eachother's abilities, but there's no prep, Azula can win, but only if she goes for lightning right away. Too fast for Elsa's ice, and is the only thing Azula can pull at a safe range for. If she doesn't go for lightning, her firepower gets absolutely shat on by a panicked Elsa and she's liable to lose the ability to firebend for the rest of the battle, and she can't win by closing the gap either.
Azula could probably rather easily assasinate Elsa in her sleep though, but a head-to-head is blatantly in Elsa's favor. Her powers are far, far stronger, and terrible cold is a counter to firebenders in general.

You guys have forgotten that ice prisons basically null firebender powers with ease. This is easily Elsa's.

Why would they fight?
