Man lost everything and was responsible for half the universe being wiped out. Apart from fat jokes, no one begruded his depression or withdrawal from society. People get depressed when they lose that much. Thor learning he's not invincible, failing on a scale that immense and learning he was no less worthy because of some mad Titan and redeeming himself is a compelling story.

Gorr is immeasurably cooler looking, his story is far more epic and vast in scope, he has a actual story arc while Desak doesn't go fucking anywhere, he just gets a upgraded armor and that is it.
The art for Gorr's run is also vastly better then the art in Jurgen's run.
Jurgen's run is good but it's just turns into Injustice with Thor basically, God Butcher/Bomb is alot more fun with the 3 Thors.

Odin has been in harsh decline for almost ten years now user, he couldnt make another hammer now, he couldn't even lift Mjolnir.
I dont really like the exact current arc, but mostly because I feel like they're sidelining the main Thor story while the event goes on. What I really cant stand is how he has a permanent golden hammer in the Avengers but in his solo he's still burning through them and trying to find out. They're written by the same guy, they should be cohesive, this has gone on for top long. That said, the rest of JA's run before WotR has been pretty good and I'm looking forward to the event finally being over so he can get back to the real shit.

What's stupid about it? In the Marvel Universe, Adamantine is the magical metal of the Olympian pantheon, and basically is to them what Uru is to the Norse pantheon. Hercules and Thor are pals (who like to brawl, yes, but still pals), and Zeus is actually respectful of Thor. So Hercules and Zeus making an adamantine hammer for Thor now that Mjolnir is perfectly believable.
But than Aaron can’t have Thor do Unlimited Hammer Works and be a total jobber without his hammer!!!
It's stupid because after a whole running arc of him trying to solve this himself, someone else just handing him the answer spoils it all. That's a terrible idea.
