I've seen a lot of people complaining about Kyle Rayner portrayal by Tom King in HEROES IN CRISIS. So i decided to dump OMEGA MEN for you guys to see how he really writes the character.
Just a heads up. Expect Kyle as a suicidal and depress mess that get his chain yanked by everyone and is completely pussy-whipped by a super capable and oh so real goddess of a woman that manipulates his sorry ass because apparently he's too much of a naive full with his belief of altruism and optimism.
He used to have one, but then GL Rebirth took all his shit away from him.

The Green Lanterns are intergalactic cops that carry around their middle finger the universe's most powerful and dangerous weapon. They're all Mary Sues by definition.
Better than being written by a kylefag. Kylefag have no sense of perspective and are still butthurt that kyle isn't the super special lantern he was 30 years ago.
Blake Fisher
There is no good in becoming a protagonist written by King.
King gave so little a shit about Kyle, and did so little research that he didn't even know Kyle was a White Lantern until after half the book was done.
Yeah. He says the same shit for every book. Its just like Bendis and he always says the current book is his TRUE favourite character and he's does sooooo much research, and he's staying true to the character blah blah blah.
I've just stopped reading interviews all together. Its all a bunch of horseshit.
I'm not American and I don't think I have ever met a Mexican in my life. If I ever see Spanish in a comic I just ignore it and move on. If it was important it would be in English. So I have to wonder why they do it, especially if it's just nonsense like you guys say.

B-but Yea Forums claims Omega Men is the best book ever and totally doesn't suck!
This series works much better with text dump at the start. Helps you understand the Vega System's status quo from the start, rather than learning the context later.
Jaxson Turner
Its something that white writers do to show how diverse and not racist they are. More common in white writers that pretend that they are hispanic despite the fact that they are totally white. Like that Ms. America writer.
Gavin Nguyen
Kyle is going to show a lot more this issue, after expending the entire past issue sitting inside a box while everyone around him dies.
So you can't even deny Kyle was written like a mary sue.

>Yea Forums almost convinced me to buy Omega Men Jesus christ. I should have expected this, coming from the board that creams its jeans over Ewing shit.
He wasn't a Mary Sue, since Carol was only helping him to master the Emotional Spectrum so he'd could save Hal, and that's the main reason why she also made him fall for her. So he could master the Star Sapphire's light.
Just keep on posting images user, end this thread's misery.

Carol was desperate, Kyle's an emotional faggot, and yes, IT IS dumb, but you were also wrong. I'm not defending that book, i'm just pointing out your weak-ass attempt.
I also find it funny the complaint that Kyle is a Mary Sue because he became a White Lantern once, when Hal Jordan and Thaal Sinestro both became White Lanterns too. Even Batman was a White Lantern for a bit.
Then there's the fact that Jordan wore pretty much every ring there is, Guy Gardner wore both Green and Red, John Stewart wore both Green and Purple, and so on. The Lanterns are constantly swapping rings.
>Carol was desperate Oh so Carol being written out of character is ok? At least King gave Kyle a rational excuse for being "out of character". Where's the logic in Carol forcing Kyle to love her so she can master the violet light so she can find Hal?
To my knowledge Kyle never gave a shit about speaking Spanish before now. What, did DC forget they had Jessica?
Justin Garcia
>i'm just pointing out your weak-ass attempt. But he's completely right, Kyle was a fucking mary sue.
Levi Nelson
>At least King gave Kyle a rational excuse for being "out of character". No, he didn't. >Where's the logic in Carol forcing Kyle to love her so she can master the violet light so she can find Hal? She wanted Kyle to master the violet light so HE could master all the emotions and be able to rescue Hal thanks to it. For him to master the violet light she made him fall for her so it'd be easier.
You didn't even read that dumb book, did you? You're just holding onto anything in order to defend King.
>For him to master the violet light she made him fall for her so it'd be easier. That doesn't make sense and only exist so Carol can become kyle's love interest.
Nathaniel Lewis
Star Sapphire's Ring is all about love. I understand that Carol becoming Kyle's love interest was dumb. I hated it too.
>Kyle still isn't a Mary Sue, The fact that Carol went to Kyle to find Hal and forcing herself to fall in love with Kyle so he can master the violet light of love points to yes, he was.
Lol this is a direct word for word translation of What am I? But obviously it is incorrect. Funny enough Google translate gives the right translation too.
Carol didn't force herself to fall in love with Kyle, she forced Kyle to fall in love with her. It was his feelings that were being manipulated. Get it right, please.
And in the end Hal escaped by himself. Hell, he even managed to make Nekron his Pokemon.
>Star Sapphire's Ring is all about love. But where's the logic in forcing herself to love kyle? Even after Hal came back she was still in love with kyle. You know that ruined Carol as a character right? They stop using her because of that.
The feelings were mutual though, She loved kyle even after hal came back. So it sounds like Justin jordan just wrecked her character just so she can be Kyle's girlfriend.
Jacob Martinez
She fell in love with Kyle by mistake. Their time spent together and all.
By the way, i remember the OMEGA MEN defenders using this issue to prove that King was well read on Kyle Rayner, despite the characterization being way off the mark.
