They used the moment from the show where the Big Bang became to expand a little before catching it and calculated the speed at which the universe that was made so moving....Which was around 3 Trillion times the Speed of Light.
Hal Jordon has created constructs that can move 1x10^60 times the speed of light.
Conclusion = Hal can create a device for removing the omnitrix FASTER than the Omnitrix itself can defend itself.
