As someone who loves old adult swim I can agree with this since it completely changed the focus of the network and indirectly led to the downfall of Toonami (with the end of the Toonami Midnight Run).
I'd say the network itself was good though until that whole ATHF bomb scare in Boston, also Saturday Video Entertainment System was an underrated block:

I only ever watched Cartoon Network as a kid from 2002 to 2004. I never saw post-2005 Cartoon Network so I don't know if it's as bad as people claim it is
