I should get around to reading that. Heard nothing but good.
ALSO, does the actually actually get darker and sadder as this awesome spine design would imply, or is it more like has some highs and lows and potentially meanders near the end like quite a few long running series tend to.

christ fuck

>meanders near the end like quite a few long running series tend to.
Honestly I couldn't tell you, I only read the first volume then went to scoop up the rest of the series during the Indigo sale. Just /shelf/ things

Attached: 20190527_211701.jpg (4032x3024, 3.26M)

>all that Batman
My nigger

That's TRUE shelf living. Buying a bunch and "getting around to it eventually".
I can safely (and sadly) say I've spent $1000+ within the last year on books I haven't bothered to read yet.

Yeah. it just makes sense to get stuff when it's on sale, or before it can go OOP. what true /shelfer/ doesn't have a massive backlog?

>Has /shelf/ impacted your Yea Forumsllection in any way?
>What comic do you regret spending money on? or What's the most expensive Yea Forums item you regret buying?

Attached: Daughter of Drakulon.jpg (3127x1451, 2.26M)

Looking at my math records, I've spent around $400CAD in the last two years on used and oop books.
If bought on release, it would be around $1000.
That figure constantly flucuates with what they are actually worth, as most are very OOP and hard to find.

>>Has /shelf/ impacted your Yea Forumsllection in any way?
Probably egged me toward manga/non-superhero stuff, which is good. Variety is always good.
>>What comic do you regret spending money on? or What's the most expensive Yea Forums item you regret buying?
300 dollars for a Batman 232, to both questions. Why? Because DC has jumped on the facsimile bandwagon, and what's the very first facsimile they're putting out? Batman fucking 232.

I've spent years finding certain books for the right price; I barely got into singles like 3 years back? Now I am scared what it might do to me hah

That's what you get for buying DCshit

Let me know what you want a facsimile edition of next, because as soon as I buy the original, DC will announce a facsimile.

Check out this random find in a used bookstore, like finding treasures like this

At least apply yourself. DCrap would make a lot more sense.

I don't know what any of that is but the set up itself is neat.

What's a facsimile? Do you mean variant issues

Facsimile as in the word facsimile, as in, an exact copy (although not really, they use modern paper.)

13thdimension.com/dc-to-launch-new-series-of-reprints-with-batman-232/

Marvel recently put out a Hulk 181 facsimile (first Wolverine), and upcoming is X-Men #1, and Giant Size X-Men #1. I guess DC thought, us too! This isn't anything new, though. As you can see, Loki-user has a facsimile first Loki
DC also did an Action Comics #1 and Detective Comics #27 in the past.

those things are hideous

There's also an ASM 300 facsimile coming out

Use some sandpaper and get back to us.

I'll always hate how Case Files 3 sticks out

Got Flex Mentallo for about $5.
I'm still holding out hope for an Absolute with the original coloring in the back like Killing Joke.
Thinking of collecting Metal. Since an Omni seems out of the cards right now, what books would I need?

Attached: 1413689651457.jpg (755x1079, 181K)

>a shrine to wasted potential and a disappointing end
It really was good for a while, but damn I'm still upset

Newest is the titanium figure, the one ground pounding. The binders are all Juggernaut issues. There's another one on the floor. It was just my stuff corner but comics have been taking over.

I share a bookshelf that has all the actual books on it but it's probably 80% my roommate's Tabletop books.

>Thinking of collecting Metal. Since an Omni seems out of the cards right now, what books would I need?
Just two. Dark Nights: Metal, and Dark Nights: Metal: Dark Knights Rising

does paul pope have an artbook? where's that pic from?

If you see a trade that collects
>Justice League
>Green Lanterns
>Teen Titans
>Nightwing
>Suicide Squad
etc single issues, ignore it. The rest of the event ignored those little crossovers too

Don't

The publishers must have done so on purpose, to forever fuck minds

Based Asano poster. Read some Taiyo Matsumoto next for the other side of the childhood coin. It's more bittersweet than his stuff.

I've read through vol. 3, and 2 was pretty fucked up at times. It's an interesting read for sure, and bizarrely believable for the fantastic nature and extreme situations it has.

Shh! Dont give it away. It also has some JiM 2
stories.

Probably, but again I stole it and Im going to make the best of them. I guess bracket is a better word for them

Well of course.

just get the main story trade, and the dark knights rising trade

Only reason I got into Mignolaverse was that I kept seeing Plague of Frogs hardcovers and wondering what they were.
Of course by then they weren't available anymore.

Just won a complete run of Promethea for $35+ shipping (gonna try and haggle down for media mail instead of expedited shipping).

Still trying to decide which comics I should ship to Japan. I've accumulated a lot in the past few months, just having them shipped to my parent's place. It's a bit of a headache for them. Feel bad too, the last lot I won was a full run of Green Lantern, 0-181, but completely unbagged.

8/10, nearly entirely cursed

just finished berserk deluxe vol 1 and the first doom patrol trade, both were great. what did you guys read?

Attached: shelf berserk.png (1500x843, 1.99M)

good shit user. buying runs in floppies on eBay is often the cheapest way of collecting a run

Cyberfrog by Ethan Myers, then I wiped my ass with it.

With /shelf/ I am complete. Without /shelf/ I am incomplete.

>Ethan Myers
Obsessed and fakenewspilled

It's addicting too. Buying large lots just to grab a single issue to flip to pay for the entire thing is how I ended up with nearly 10k floppies.

Luckily, living in a foreign country semi-permanently means I can't go all in and start getting them custom bound all at once, or I'd really be broke.

>Probably, but again I stole it and Im going to make the best of them. I guess bracket is a better word for them
Sorry I was trying to quote the guy who posted the funko pop videos
