It was more successful than Rugrats. The only reason Rugrats lasted longer was because Nick didn't want to associate themselves with risque adult humor themed shows (Rugrats had adult humor, but it wasn't like Rocko or Ren and Stimpy). Also, Rugrats was easier to make merch for and Ed Bighead would have been grouchy and threw Heffer into hell if Rocko became Nicks icon. Doug was also more popular than Rugrats but it was bought out by Disney and Ren and Stimpy got itself into controversy and was too risque so Nick was forced to rely on Rugrats or else Chuckie would scream

you pretty much explained why it wasn't popular then

Nice delusion

Rocko, Hey Arnold and Angry Beavers were my favorites as a kid, and to be honest only Angry Beavers didn't age well while the other two remain masterpieces.

Rocko pretty much molded my sense of humor into what it is today.

OK

>only Angry Beavers didn't age well
It's the best Nicktoon and you're wrong

Cool story bro.

>only Angry Beavers didn't age well while the other two remain masterpieces
It was a period piece when it was released. What you said is like saying Mad Men didn't aged well

what period?

>only Angry Beavers didn't age
Shit taste confirmed, but those three are the only good Nicktoons

I noticed the show became more tame in its final season.

>Angry Beavers didn't age well
Nice opinion.

>Angry Beavers didn't age well
opinion discarded

I want to go on record to state that I think I'm one of the five people on the planet who enjoyed Catdog as a child and still enjoy it now.

>5
More like 5,000.

Is there some hyper furry community obsessed with Catdog I'm unaware of?

>only people who can like 90s cartoons are furries
Imagine being this far gone.

We're talking about Catdog here, not just any ol' 90's cartoon. Catdog is one of the most poorly received 90's cartoons that wasn't cancelled after one season.

Maybe in the states. When reruns were shown in Europe, everybody liked it.

Wacky Delly's plot about Ralph Bighead suffering burnout was based on Murray's own problems at the time. That burnout eventually carried over into the show itself.

>That burnout eventually carried over into the show itself.
Any examples, like how people are able to spot the differences in pre and post-John K Ren & Stimpy? It's been a very long time since I watched Rocko. I always assumed it was just consistently entertaining.
