They're shows focused on kids playing within a reasonably normal, non-fantastical setting, but enhancing it with imagination and exaggerated impression of reality.
Everyday, normal things become incredible feats of technology. Legends are told about ancient times of 10 years ago.

I don't think this part belongs there. Those shows don't really feature themes of growing up, at least not in the primary. The main defining feature IS the immature fantasy.

Magical Childhood? The fact that it involves childhood is important. General Magical Realism is a much more broad subject.

I've been getting back into it. Caught Sour Candy Trials which had some impressive animation. It's packed with soul but it can be boring with its slow pacing and ideas that aren't interesting enough to make up for it.

Fuck you, the art style is great. I like that the character designs look like slightly less rigid SU designs with thicker outlines and subtle cast shadows.

Basically, Craig of the Creek looks like a Townie SU series with better designs.

Is there a good term in english for "made magical", "enriched with magic"? Something, I guess, synonymous to "enchanted".
*Enchanted* Realism would work even better, because it indicates that the realism is made to appear magical, and is not, instead, a case of realistic magic (ie. that thing that people love to do where they turn magic into a science)

I like that the 3 main characters are interesting enough to be the main character. Shit, I think craig is the less interesting of the 3 and I'm not saying that because he's shit or something, is just that kelsey and JP are that cool.

It’s especially weird that it’s not the reverse. Clarence had plenty of hot adult characters, but the kids kept getting the most attention.

With Craig of the Creek, on the other hand, you’re left with just the kid characters to lewd. Personally, I don’t mind whether they get much r34 or not since loli and shota are shit anyway.
